Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It has the most populous urban area in Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. 1 million people live in the municipality, approximately 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

@Jack Tate Well said!
I appreciate that you take time out of your day to do these walks for us! Thanks! 😊
You are welcome ❤
Love your video walking tour of Stockholm all the way from Campbellsville Kentucky USA
Thank you Daniel ♥️
You are welcome
Thanks for your videos showing ~
My pleasure!
Thank you for a nostalgic walk through Gärdet. I lived in a student dormitory in this area and used Ropsten station to travel to my art school on Lidingö. It was a wonderful time in my life! Nowadays I often travel to Sweden, but never had the time to return to Gärdet, so I really appreciated your walk. Tackar!
Glad I could help! Thanks
Thank you ! Enjoyed video!
You are welcome
It seems like in terms of different areas, even ugly is not really ugly there. Still a lot of trees around and so on. Thanks, it was interesting!
Everything looks so well cared for in Stockholm. A very nice city.
i like how there's so much bikes laying around..EVERYWHERE..no care in the world if it gets stolen. also those dedicated bike lanes..im so jealous haha
Thanks Daniel, have a great weekend 😊 x
Thanks !!! You aswell
May I suggest that you can share some common things that would help those new to visiting Stockholm.
Eg, one needs to tap into a T-bana but not need to tap out. Or at stations without barriers, you need to tap the tickets with card readers at the station before boarding or risk being fined (hope my memory is correct).
Also if it is still available, there is a type of multiple (2) user ticket that the usage is quite confusing - was blocked from entering the station because the bus driver never charge me correctly. Luckily the people at the station was very kind and sort it out for me.
I was lucky to meet the most helpful people when travelling Stockholm some years back.
Very good suggestions, thanks!
Good to see all those different districts. Every city has its less attractive areas, that's what makes cities so interesting. I caught the first ten minutes after you had posted this video, then it disappeared, and I continued watching it later. I have to be careful of my caffeine intake since I developed an allergy last year, now mainly decaf for me. I don't think I ever overdid the coffee but my system evidently decided otherwise.
Interesting. How did you found out?
@@letswalkaroundstockholm Process of elimination. I thought at first the problem was gluten or lactose.
I found the power station quite interesting! Not all parts of a city are attractive but all parts make up the whole! We drink more coffee than we used to in the UK. About 20 years ago, coffee became very popular and is now rivalling our precious cuppa ! We have "elevenses" which is a mid morning coffee or tea break usually accompanied with a biscuit or two and then another cup of tea or coffee mid afternoon, also with biscuits or a piece of cake. I like crumpets! It's a British tradition which shows no sign of wavering! We also have tea and coffee throughout the day but the traditional breaks are "elevenses" and "afternoon cuppa"!
Goedemiddag ,ik zie het wel vaker in jou filmpjes is er veel hoogte verschil in de stad met andere delen, heuvelachtig , en heel ruim opgezet de wijken en straten en kleurrijk .groet uit Nederland .
Thanks for another lovely walk. I'll be in stockholm next week and your walks are helping me a lot. Could you please give me an insider tip about where to eat a good kanelbullar in Stockhol?
Almost everywhere 😃
Grymt bra! Jag bodde i Gärdet. Den här videon tar bara tillbaka mina gamla goda minnen när jag bodde i Stockholm. Tack så mycket. Keep it up the awesome videos. Stor Hälsningar från Jakarta. 😁
Källan = the well, källaren= the basement. Tack för ännu en trevlig promenad! :)
källar´n = betyder också källare, men är talspråk / slang
Hehe jag vet. Oooops 🙈
@@letswalkaroundstockholm Äsch! Lätt hänt!
Hahaha, if i would drink 16 cops of coffee esch day i would climb the walls of overenegy and my stomach would die😂! This was a very nice walk as always, Daniel, but i sort of missed everyone at the chat😃se you another day friends! TC!🖐
Thanks. Yeah somehow it didn't work sorry. Definitely back tomorrow
I missed everyone too. :)
Weer een mooie wandeling
Källarn (källaren) would be The basement or cellar, källan = The spring or The source!
Oooops sorry 🙈
Källarn is a perfectly plausible name for a café though. No need to be sorry, either way 🤗
This is what I like about your channel. You are doing this and not planning it really so you are discovering things as you go. Just be careful crossing those streets. LOL.
Thanks alot!
Nice one! You missed out on Norra Djurgårdstan by 20 meters which is a cool area but also well hidden!
Maybe you should try visiting Avicii Arena or Armémuseum next
Dont feel so sorry. . . Still this is a nice video . Stay safe !! 😊
Agree!
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏🤝🤝🤝
Jag vill åka till Sverige, men jag har inte hunnit be om att få se din video först.
Thanks for the videos. I really want to move to Sweden but first I should to improve my English, so I use your videos too for this purpose. I will be very grateful if you will talk with us more in your videos. Thanks again :)
Sushi 🍣 is a part of your daily vlog 😂😂 I just don’t know if its good before ‘Fika’ 😏 ☕️ Thank u for talking to us!😃😃

Gå mer i Hjorthagen!
Ja det ska jag absolut göra.
At least that was a nice looking power plant. I guarantee they don't look that nice where I live.

Interesting.... no comments and the title is wrong 😃
it's probably just the default title
Exactly
@@ShadowValleys Yes I got that too 👍
it looks ugly ... but it's nice when you come home and turn on the light, the computer, charge your cell phone ... beauty and electricity production don't go together ... best regards
Definitely
Can you give the right pronunciation for the full name "Ladugardsgardet" please?
