    Next time you are in downtown Salt Lake, make sure to jump on the TRAX line for a quick way to get around. Click here for more info on living in Salt Lake City: th-cam.com/play/PLaycoFgYmqtXb6ulM52Luoi7oArIOSImE.html

    Salt Lake has some of the most beautiful landscapes of any American city. A shame the view is spoiled with horrible car dependant sprawl.

    Trax is a good start, and it’s getting better, but is by no means extensive enough to the point that you can go car-less in SLC. Unfortunately, like most Western US cities, Salt Lake City is a car city. Front runner doesn’t even run on Sundays, and none of the public transit options are available 24/7. Don’t give up that car just yet.

    • @HigherQualityUploads
      @HigherQualityUploads 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No public transit should be available 24/7, not even NYC's. It's one of the key reasons as to why it's so dirty. There's no time for maintenance.

    • @steelunited1115
      @steelunited1115 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep especially if you don't have a car, and you have to work Sundays!

      @@HigherQualityUploads no, public transit should be 24/7. Tokyo’s is, New York’s is. People without cars have late night emergencies too. Grave shift workers still need transit. It’s called PUBLIC transit for a reason.

      Tokyo's runs from 5am to 12am lol
      But you're half right, NYC's is 24hr.
      Guess which one is clean.

    • @Kevbot6000
      @Kevbot6000 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@HigherQualityUploads I don’t think the 24hr thing is the sole reason for it being dirty though. The US is bad in general for maintenance and maintaining its infrastructure, as well as it being underfunded.

    Is there like a weekly or monthly pass available for Trax?

    Nice video. Love the rail line with stair where you can see the mountains. How are people in salt lake city? Are they friendly to minorities/Immigrants?

      Yeah you get awesome views like that everywhere. Yes, the one thing people always mention about Utahns is how nice we are. I think it just runs in the culture here!

    I would like to know how to move around Utah, I mean if I want to visit the Bryce Canyon or Zion National Park, which is far from Salt Lake City, which are my options? There is any public transportation or I just have to rent a car? Please help me 😁

      Can you get on the Trax train with just your phone? App-based? Apple Pay? Do you have to know where you’re getting off?

      $2.50, with the option to transfer to bus services for free from TRAX. If you get the Farepay card I think it's something like 30% off, and monthly passes can save you a lot of money if you ride enough.

    Also odd that while showing the downtown attractions, you conveniently failed to mention any of the religious sites. Whatever your feeling in religion, SLC’s history and even its layout is inextricably tied to religion. You’re not giving an accurate or honest picture of the city if you leave that out.

    • @zeefunk9620

      Amen we need to give religion more attention!

      @@NateOlson still the largest organized religion in the city and the city’s history is literally born from religion. Regardless of the current number of Mormons who occupy the city, it is a not an accurate or honest picture of the city if we ignore the city’s religious history.

    Warning: The UTA system is one of the most dysfunctional in the nation. You also need to be aware it is even more dangerous in the winter. The routes are unreliable and the drivers often are indifferent.

    This guy starts out with a few big lies, first I don't see any evidence of those millions of people who he said contacts him for living in slc, second he does not talk about precautions of the drugs that you can buy at each train stop, or he does not tell you how expensive it is to travel back and forth, and third salt lake city is known for the " come on vacation and leave on probation " Utah also says do not leave the state if are on probation, even if you came from another state, I know this from experience, I will never move back to Utah, worse decision I ever made, oh and the women there are married but you can find most on a dating site, weird huh ? They love to throw you in jail for stupid things and they love to hand out protection orders like candy on Halloween, they don't even take care of the jails there, I am crippled forever bcuz you have to be dieing before you can see a dr. I almost died there, I am still looking for a lawyer to sue salt lake county and the city.
