That’s actually the Asantehenes elder sister. Their mom, the former queen mother, passed away a few years ago.
They attended the Kuntunkunidie, a festival to remember ancestors. This year was significant in the sense that it marks 150 years since the third Anglo-Asante war where British troops invaded Kumasi.

And BTW this another piece of critical history about Jamaica, did you know that Queen Nanny came to Jamaica not as a slave. But was actually sent by the then king of Asante to go and find and bring our people back. You really need to do some studies, and don't listen just to His Story.

The Ashanti built a huge empire which was about 3 times the size of the present day Ghana through wars and conquest, unfortunately, after series of wars with the British, they were subsequently defeated and the King lost all his enormous powers and empire and after voluntarily joining the then Gold Coast to form the present day Ghana his remaining kingdom was subjected to political interference reducing his powers further. Nonetheless he’s the most prominent traditional leader in West Africa and he’s still highly influential in both home and international affairs having represented Ghana in high powerful negotiations and delegations.
