Another thing I love about Tarzan on kind of a sociological level is that, in the assorted main characters, we see two worlds (Nature and humanity/ civilization) at their best and worst.
The gorillas symbolize nature at its best: Loyal, supportive of each other, in balance/ harmony with their natural surroundings.
Sabor, in contrast, symbolizes nature at its worst: Savage, merciless, bloodthirsty.
No, on the human side of things,
Jane and Dr. Porter symbolize humanity/ civilization at its best: Harmlessly curious, fascinated with nature, driven by a love of knowledge and a desire to educate others, and determined not to cause harm.
Clayton, on the other side of things, symbolizes humanity/ civilization at its worst: Greedy, ignorant, bigoted, only caring about how he can profit off of nature with no regard for the damage he causes.
Lastly, we have Tarzan. He's torn between two worlds, yet manages to adopt the best traits from both of them.

Not gonna lie, Tarzan is probably one of the underrated Disney films, and a great way to end the Renaissance Era.
