My issue is not boredom...it's spending every day working hard on big involved projects on our house (and our 3 grown kids' houses). I have to get away for a rest! We're including Shenedoah in our September trip where we'll meander from Ohio to Florida and back. Thank you so much for taking the time to put out these videos!

Loft Mountain Campground is what we think! One of our most favorite places in the summertime. Thanks for the view. We weren't able to make it this year (normally we try to camp 2x during the summer at Loft). If you hit it just right there are wild raspberries everywhere. Enjoy your journey - we enjoy your videos! We plan to do the Blue Ridge Parkway in the near future.

Been there many times as I live only a hour from the northern entrance to sky line drive!!! Love your adventures my wife and I can't wait to start ours.
We were there about 3 years ago. We drive from Front Royal, VA to the south and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. That is a beautiful area to travel. Happy Trails.
I guessed it right we road out there on motor cycle back in 1991 just me and my wife. Now we are down sizing & getting read to buy rig & hit the road. Safe Travels! 🙋
VAN TREKKING lifestyle I used to travel for business near Shenandoah National Park and when it was shut down due to the budget impasse, I picked up an AT thru hiker in the park and we ate at Pizza Hut. I was able to provide some trail magic for him. Good experience all the way around. I do not understand why you guys don’t have 50,000+ subscribers. You are truly amazing! So genuine, natural and relaxed in front of the camera. Thanks again for all the work you put into your videos.
I love the shorter videos and the scenic views! I find myself missing the greenery and hills of points farther north. Texas seems to think a molehill is a mountain... and although there is foliage, it is far from the verdant greens you see up north... the heat (we're already near the 100s every day) makes the grass brownish green at best. I'm very jealous! It's been a long and hard year for us, and there are times I feel much like Macbeth... tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. But your videos give me hope of one day, one day, one day! Be seeing you!
Thanks guys! They do say everything is bigger in Texas... even the thermometers. We love the green vistas here too and the cooler temps. Our driveway is seeing almost 90s every day now but a 20 minute drive can get us to the 70s... crazy huh? Stay hydrated and safe.
We’re in the same mode, traveling with intentions not plans. Went west and now in Iowa with family. We’ll head east towards Tennessee later this month. Enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway!
I was pretty sure you were in Shenandoah National Park. It is fantastic! We drive through there every time we drive up to our kids place in New Jersey. Looking forward to be able to STAYING there next time! I hope you show us more of it, especially the campgrounds. It would be good to know the best places to stay there. I am off to watch your other videos. We are usually there in the fall. They get color there later than we do in Brevard, we were up there in November last year and it was beautiful.
We are only staying in the Shenandoah NP for one night this time, we stayed at Loft Mountain Campground and it was wonderful. We will have to go back and explore going north. I’m sure fall is even more beautiful.
Harper's Ferry W. Va is close by and you can walk the bridge across the Potomac. Antietem battle field is close and so is John Brown's house. Weaverton cliff is across the Potomac on the A.T. Its a short hike but up steep switchbacks. Can't wait to see where you're going.
Just got home from a trip to Cades Cove in the Smokies and so excited to see you are doing this little series. We love the BRP and have a trip planned down the Skyline Drive and BRP in October. Looking forward to your episodes!! (p.s. I hate to admit it but all week in Cades Cove we found ourselves talking about equipment we were thinking about and kept saying "well Owen and Lynn....." like we actually know you lolol.)
We drove past Shenandoah on the I81 on our way back from Florida to Atlantic Canada. We decided to knock off on of our bucket list items and stop at the caverns for a tour. Unfortunately, they shut it down the morning we were going due to Covid. I was very sad, but guess it was meant to be til next time we go through. Your sunset shots are incredible!! Looks like a painting! Enjoy and stay safe.
These days are just crazy aren’t they. With so much closed it would really be easier to just stay home and watch National Geographic... trust us, we think about that a lot. Sorry you missed it... maybe next time. That sunset was a real reward after a long curvy driving day. :-)

It’s deer heaven! My wife and I drove through there about 10 years ago from south to north we lost count of the deer and watched an amazing sunset, just like you did. I live so close and need to come there again. Thanks for the memories!
How beautiful! It's nice to see the parks on the east coast since I'll probably never make it to that side of the states. I like the idea of short videos because there are a lot of times that I have to stop the longer ones and watch the rest of it at a later time. Looking forward to tomorrow's video. We brought most of our food with us. However, we will have to stop and get gas. So far the campgrounds and the places we have stopped along the way have not been crowded at all and if there are to many people we just keep driving. We are not going into any towns or eating out so we do feel safe from COVID exposure. We may need to point that out so people don’t get the wrong idea. Thanks for the question.
Hi folks. My wife and are new to the Van life. When traveling in the National Parks where bears are, do you sleep at night with the doors open? If you do, what precautions do you take?
I would be interested to know, given your experience with larger rigs, how may of the places you go would have been inaccessible to a B+ or a Class C motor home. Do Class Bs open up many more opportunities?
B’s, especially the 19-21 foot size do open up more places... kind of. Almost all the places we’ve been we could have also visited in a 24-25 foot RV but it would have been a little more difficult and more stressful. With the 21-ft B we just say do we want to go and never should we try to go. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

The only camera we used on this video was our iPhones.

I would be interested to know, given your experience with larger rigs, how may of the places you go would have been inaccessible to a B+ or a Class C motor home. Do Class Bs open up many more opportunities?
B’s, especially the 19-21 foot size do open up more places... kind of. Almost all the places we’ve been we could have also visited in a 24-25 foot RV but it would have been a little more difficult and more stressful. With the 21-ft B we just say do we want to go and never should we try to go. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

What do you do about mosquitoes?
We’ve been lucky on this trip, the mosquitoes have not been bad. When they are we either put up our screen room or/and use our thermacell.
