I agree with you. Apocalypse for season 2. Onslaugth slowly grows through season 2 and is main villain in season 3.
I don't think Onslaught lasts until season 3. Feel like he's just the S2 big bad.

@@bazzfromthebackground3696 Can't have Xavier turn evil fast will ruin character development. If that happens will be copy of Game Of Thrones Mad Queen. This way story arc with Gambit returning and Wolverine getting his adamantium back.
So at the show's actual pacing, Apocalypse by episode 3 of season 2, Onslaught by episode 5, then it's on to some other plot.
It's not making it that far.

The bigger thing people are overlooking is that the Onslaught saga originally lead into Heroes Reborn, which they could be updating to bring the X-Men into the MCU. Together with Secret Wars, we’re now heading for two stories that conclude with soft resets and it’s a perfect opportunity for them to repurpose Franklin’s pocket universe, and it would explain why Disney recently added TAS/97 to their Multiverse section on +.
I’m kind of hopeful this is the direction they’ll go as we really don’t need yet another retelling of established stories both covered by TAS and the Fox films, and it would resolve the issue of characters who should have existed in the main continuity already (Magneto).

Secret Wars will close the multiverse saga and an Onslaught/Heroes Reborn story in '97 could see mutants "revived" into the mainline MCU continuity out of whatever pocket universe they end up in - otherwise we'll see both TAS and the MCU go through individual resets at roughly the same time that retain their own separate continuities, which is just kind of weird.
Dropping mutants directly into the MCU would also create the exact kind of chaos needed to set up Avengers vs X-Men.

@@shaun10767 DeMayo said that TAS is it's own thing, but Feige's also stated that there were considerations to add it to the MCU and as of last month it's officially a part of the Multiversal Saga (despite supposedly being set outside of it, as claimed).
Disney is doing a lot of reshuffling with their MCU plans right now, so it isn't outside the realm of probability that they've changed their original plans - especially as 97's one of their most successful productions in recent memory.
at this point, im perfectly fine with leaving the xmen out the MCU. xmen97 is on par with early MCU and infinity war in quality but i dont trust them now to not fuck this up. im fine if going forward they used more animation and started reviving some of the old cartoons from the 90s

If there is one thing to understand with X-Men lore, is that whenever there is a change in the flow of Time there is always, Apocalypse. He is the inevitability, the always, the forever constant. Where there is a beginning, there is end. Apocalypse is the end game.

Cabe's son became the acolyte of Apocalypse who is dubbed Genesis, Genesis kidnapped Wolverine and tried to forcibly bond adamantium to Wolverine before starting the process of converting Wolverine into a Horsemen, Wolverine's body began rejecting the metal this rejection caused Wolverine's body & mind to "devolve" into a completely feral state.
Hopefull they can reproduce Apocalypes voice.
We need Keith David to voice Apocalypse.

Operation Zero Tolerance was just the beginning because Onslaught's arrival shook the foundation of Marvel Comics which led to its rebirth in the 2000s. I think Apocalypse will revive Gambit as the horseman of death. Plus, Wolverine will go into his feral state.

Wolverine didn't go "noseless" or feral until after Tyler tried to bond adamantium back onto his skeleton. The adamantium came from Cybers skin. Wolverine rejected it and went feral. I've heard SOOO MANY people get this wrong...
I haven’t watched the show yet. Are they sticking to the comics. I remember that comic didn’t some Beetles 🪲 eat it off Cybers skin. I was so confused when Wolverine’s face looked as if he was hit with a shovel and his nose was just gone & his hair and head became bigger than his whole body 😂😂😂
You are completely right. I have the original books and have had them since they were released. Wolverine also diced up Genesis pretty good if I remember correctly and cable forgave him for it.
How about Cyclops as the last horseman?
- Clearly pissed at / feels betrayed by Professor Xavier already
- Also lost a good friend in Gambit
- We know in the comics he has proper villain potential.
- Scott getting the Phoenix Force could be how Apocalypse gets taken out.

I think it would be more likely that Gambit would be Death and Wolverine would be War. If even fits with their characters. Wolverine lives and breaths war (having lived through so many of them). And Gambit was literally brought back from Death to kill people. Not to mention the vision Professor X had of Gambit as death.

The fourth horseman would be Cable. It makes sense, because Sinister controls him. Apocalypse could make a deal with Sinister or just simply attempt to take him. It's also kind of poetic. Cable and Apocalypse have been mortal enemies for decades. How pleasurable would it be for Apocalypse to have his most hated enemy in his thrall?
So on board here. Gambit is Death, without a doubt. I postulate Rogue as War, Wolverine as Famine, and Cable as Pestilence.

Damn I been follow this channel for years and haven’t watch in a while!! New set ..well to me. DUDE AWESOME JOB.
Something I'd find intriguing is if they kept the 4th horseman a mystery through most of it, with Apocalypse only alluding to them being active. Only after some time we learn that he had used his influence over Mister Sinister to turn him into the Horseman of Pestilence, and had used his abilities to work towards a major plot point.
That would cause the remaining X-Men to question this alliance with their former enemy, giving their enemies an opening to strike, so things can get _really_ desperate.
Apocalypse is a joke in the comics
Folks tend to forget that it was in Wolverine issue 100 when Wolvie lost his nose and went feral. He was captured by Genesis and was forced to go through the adamantium bonding process again, the second go-around, however, his body rejected the metal turning him into his feral state.

I wonder what Mister Sinister’s angle will be in all of this. Even when exploded into tiny pieces, Sinister always finds a way to return both in the show and the comics. Sinister reminds me of Littlefinger a bit, always pulling the strings from behind the scenes.
In the comics OZT was essentially a response to the Onslaught aftermath.

Im glad Rob also confirmed with what i was thinking and saw what i was seeing too as i was scouring for information on what happened to Wolverine beyond what we saw in Episode 9. In that Warverine is coming. Makes sense from a mutant standpoint rather than just using Hulk or Gambit's iteration of War. Also i am curious if Apocalypse would have Fabian's mutant power considering he is using his body

With X-men 97, I for one, cannot wait for the Age of Apocalypse arc, seeing Rogue and Sunspot immediately go off with Magneto, gave me anticipatory goose bumps, that and I am a bit of an Age Of Apocalypse Morph Fan.
Sebastian Shaw is missing from Kroroka attack. Emma was found in the diamond state so that might be an option as well. I like the idea of leech being regenerated but I don't think he has the personality or I don't think Apocalypse would need. Could be a random fourth that we haven't seen yet like iceman arch angel or any of the brotherhood
The Onslaught story arc was after I stopped reading comics... Never heard of it. I really only read my sister's comics who was 5 years older and moved to Cali when she became an adult. This was a few decades ago.
Gambit & Wolverine are already a lock-in for the 4H.
Storm isn't a surprise either since we saw her as a villain in the movies.
Surprised with Morph though but it does give his character a bigger role to play.
I think this batch of 4H is pretty strong.
