Really Good video. Thank you for clearly answering this question. One tip: do not use background noise suppression software in the camera or computer recording it, distorting you to a zoom call with all compression boxes clicked.
I have an old kerosene furnace I would like to restore and repaint, would Cerakote be a good choice for this heater. Would cerakote hold up on the burn chamber?
I only had one rifle cerakoted and I didn't like how much it changed my dimensions. I get the benefits, but regular maintenance should be enough to keep rust away for me. Wouldn't stop anyone from doing it, but I don't really like how mine came from aero.
Really good video but just to clarify something. The guy didn't want the shine on his gun because he actually uses it it's not just a conversation piece. If you hunt waterfoul with your gun or anything really, and they see the shine they won't land and they will fly away
PIKL101 everything wears where two surfaces contact! The art of a good coating is to allow good adhesion so that it doesn't chip or peel and to be tough (not hard, hard chips like glass) an enamel plate or mug chips easily, the polymer coating of a golf ball flexes but doesn't stick to the metal of a firearm very well. Think of a piston ring in a car engine, it wears against the cylinder wall, it travels up and down the cylinder bore many thousands of times every minute and it travels hundreds of thousands of miles during its service life. It has to be tough and hard but still ductile, not brittle. Cerakote has all of these properties but like I said in my first sentence..... everything wears where two surfaces contact! Cerakote have made a product that slows down that wear! It's ultra thin, great chemical resistance, its very hard to chip or peel, it sticks to the metal of the firearm very well but it has some drawbacks... it's not easy to apply, it needs an incredibly clean part to adhere well, it needs an oven to allow it to bake onto the surface and degass, it takes skill to apply the Cerakote evenly but most of all it's expensive to apply on an industrial scale. But for one off custom coatings, it the best!
I guess it would be bloody expensive though, the labour cost of disassembling and putting it back together must be crazy without considering the cerakote price for the whole thing... but that bike would last
This is a great video, but did you activate background noise cancellation? Sure, it makes the background a bit quieter but it also makes the main people talking sound artificial and weird.
I have a number of cerakoted firearms and was wondering if the product EEZOX would be safe to use or have a deleterious effect on any of them. Thank you...
@@davidofqwerty From what I read 250 degree F for 2 hours for metals, but also can do 300 degree F for 1 hour for metals to save time. That is why the hotter temp. and the less time needed.
He did. Its essentially a 2 step polymer /ceramic super spray paint. It requires a second curing step . After that its essentially better than all other paints as far as wear and resisting , oils, weather, chemicals, etc.
my dad is the one on the right lol never knew he was on youtube he looks and sounds nervous
He was a little, but did a great job! We really appreciate him helping us with the vid to explain the benefits of CERAKOTE!
That's cool he's a great sounding guy mate,bet you're proud 👍🏻🇬🇧
Naw! He's great!
Being filmed will do that. Like public speaking, it takes some getting used to.
Lol, great. Then he is a natural. I still nervous after 13 years of public talking. 😊👊

Thank you for this comment. I ordered an ar10 cerakoted from aero. It was a receiver set, so hopefully it is worked out by now
What if you have an older rifle that has some rust pit marks. With cerakoting it cover that up and protect it more?
That’s a great question!
What kind of dog has a ceracoat?
Lol!!
The Devil Dog
Is there air dry cerakote finishing process?
Great stuff, all my built rifles get Cerakote....but definitely not pink!
Missing our buddy!!

That's with hunting anything really
There was no mention of how it wears. Ive heard from people if you are in and out of holsters it wears off...

What materials can be cerakoted? Just metals, or 3D printed PLA plastics too?
It lists polymers on several websites.
My shotgun is done in black but I want my action to be back to metal, how do I remove it? Cheers
Sandblasting.
@@TheLazyAmbitious thanks mate good idea👍🏻
Paint thinner
@@AndToTheRepublic4WhichItStands thanks mate
Can you re-coat a different color over a piece that has already been cerakoted?
How well does this hold up?
Can you CERAKOTE a whole bike(engine, frame, tank...)?
Great question!
Yes, yes you can
I guess it would be bloody expensive though, the labour cost of disassembling and putting it back together must be crazy without considering the cerakote price for the whole thing... but that bike would last
@@lucaraimondo5967 what labour cost? They literally used a robot to paint?

So my gun said cerakote. is it just the hand guard that’s cerakoted?
Got a good one for your next yawa, and not that I don't like it. But out of curiosity why pink?
Hahaha great question!
Great product. Keeps rust at bay and they have every color under the sun. I've done dozens of firearms and even some car exhaust headers.
That’s freaking cool!
@@StandingStoneKennels NO, Primarily EPOXY...Chemical RESISTANT, heat NO. It will stink to high heaven I imagine🤢🤮🤧
how much does getting an AR15 cerekoted usually cost?time?
Your saying 250 degree F for 2 hours, then why on the cerakote manual I downloaded it says 300 degree F for 1 hour?? Thank you.
I am told it depends a little on materials. Wood needs lower and slower!
Yes but I'm talking about metals.

Did Ruger build a robotic arm?
First! Love the pink gun my man!
Thank you!!
My family came ceracoated
Can ik.
Prison pink lmfao that's great
Haha
He forgot too ask the golden question . Why the robot has a Ruger logo on it ?
🤣🤣, love my Rugers but they definitely skimp on the slide finish. Just got both my Max-9 and LCP Max cerakoted so I don't have to worry about it 🤣
They need a better rep. He needs to learn the product before trying to sell it
The c series is air cured :)
Cerakote is deceptive labeling....Primarily EPOXY...thus the reason it wears off.
I put some cerakote on bicycle cranks and it wore off you ever here of kbs extreme or do you you know a paint more durable and possibly cheaper
Human error is beautiful
this video did not explain cerakote at all what so ever
It’s a protective paint coating
It’s a colored ky jelly
He did. Its essentially a 2 step polymer /ceramic super spray paint. It requires a second curing step . After that its essentially better than all other paints as far as wear and resisting , oils, weather, chemicals, etc.
Bruh how dumb is the creamier rep? Bad salesman, I still don’t know what cerakote
Thanks for watching.
It's the prison pink "humor" referring to racist Joe Arpaio? If so, nice racist wink wink moment you had.
Racist? You're on the wrong channel with your victim peddling.
Marketing huey....
Thanks for watching.
He sounds like Donald trump trying to explain the government all adjectives and no substance
Thanks for watching.
