Well the thing is, the 70 started off with a huge bang with many of the most iconic muscle cars in all of American history ever, like the original Dodge Challenger, the Superbee, GTO Judge, Boss 429 so on and so forth. But, obviously it ended very badly as by the late 70s American cars were absolutely terrible Japanese wannabes. Whereas the 80s started off really badly, but ended with stuff like the Buick GNX. So it’s really up to whether or not you think the beginning of the 70s is better than the ending of the 80s because everything in between, in the “malaise era”, was all pretty terrible for the most part.
If you play the same game but keep the comparison at 69 or 70 Vs any year in the 80's

I like the 70's models better. The 80's had no flavor. The 70's lost the horsepower but they still looked cool 😎
