@ImKibitz The medical facility and living quarters have been there for a while. Their way points were just hidden until you got to a certain level on Victor so its important to max out the terminal if you want to find all the hidden facilities. The concrete facilities are the story points added by Xray.
it comes as no surprise to me with all of your base building prowess from games like satisfactory, that you go above and beyond anything i have seen from anyone else in this game. If you didnt realize, the 3x3 calycite foundation blocks do support power just like the original 1x1 power floor. Keep up the great work as always Kibz and i cant wait to see what happens next.
I think it might be best to not worry about wasting charges. You saw that blast stuff gets upgrades that produce more products with more charges, so it might be worth making excess charges for the system so you can basically future proof your setup. At the very least you won't have to time everything out.
@@JoshuaGanoTyraxLightning I don't think so. Charges are more or less free to produce. What's limiting the chunk production is the size of the ore deposits and the number of drills you can place there.
@@stummelschwanzzwergtyrann Also, upon further play, discovered even Mk. 2 Threshers really have to work their bums off to chew those Chunks up. With that said, 5 Charges for 3 Chunks just can't look appetizing when one can setup 5 Blast Drills and feed them one Charge each to get 5 Chunks instead of 3...
@@JoshuaGanoTyraxLightning For the most part, it expects you to use the chunks as slabs in the new recipes (which often craft the equivalent of 50 bars with of stuff at once), converting them back to ignots is kinda slow. The Mining charge thing is.... Well, it's nice for destroying excess resources and convenicance. And the blast smelters getting better and better kinda blance it out a little.
2:05 the base-building stuff is contained on one of the other research tabs. Look at the bottom of the screen - there are several tabs you can flip through. The one you're currently looking at is just for your factory machines. They got the research organized in different folders to help you find stuff more easily... but every streamer I've seen playing the recent updated version fails to realize there are MORE tabs on the research tree that they can click on to open the other folders. LOL.
Kibitz! Please continue/start fresh on this series! Your Satisfactory videos are wonderful as are all the rest of your content. I really enjoy this game out of all the behemoths in the genre. You playing it is only giving it more traction and thus would probably have a hand in its development process. I’m sure you’re possibly burnt out from all the factory games but this is a series I’d love to see you continue!
First thing I did when finding Xray was just lay out a direct monorail track from Victor to Xray and maxed out Rail Rush. Not having to run back and forth XD is nice
Love this game, series, and especially your playthrough it, please continue it, satisfactory has the overworld megabases covered, now Techtonica has the UNDERWORLD
I don’t know if you’ve found it yet, but I took the LONG way around to get there and lucked into the shortcut. Massive limestone deposit for mass producing base parts. Go up the waterfall at Viktor, and dig straight back.
2:37 Interesting setup for the water wheels! I didn't know you could arrange them out of order. I always though it was Crankgenerator-WaterWheel-Crankgenerator, with space between each set.
Hope to see more of this. You and another who shares a similar name are my favorite automation builders. Didn't even know Satisfactory was a thing till I saw one of your videos randomly on TH-cam.
24:00ish... Instead of Mining Charges that Rock, ya REALLY oughta upgrade your M.O.L.E. to become able to 12x12 Tunneling + Digging Speed Upgrade... then point your M.O.L.E. forward and a bit down till ya see your Area Indicator 6ish X Squares deep into the Walls and dig'em out... you'll dig out massive amounts of Limestone and clear out massive amounts of Rock to turn into Factory Space SO gorgeously fast, along with faster gathering of all that wild Plant Matter to boot. Do this for even 5 minutes and you'll wonder why ya ever thought Mining Charges ever coulda been the way to go instead of relegating it to blowing your way through Atlantum Vein walls to the Veins inside them that the M.O.L.E. answers to instead of defeats. ;)
I too am also surprised he hasn't done what I can't be the only one to have done... a World Bedrock Floor to World Bedrock Ceiling Core Composer Vertical Tunnel... :P (My theory is he hasn't unlocked the M.O.L.E. Tunneling 12x12 Bit and max Mining Speed Buffs yet so the prospect is looking too big and daunting.)
Hey Kibs, great stuff as always! The inserters are very slow, you said they move 3/sec but I think they do 1 per 3 sec. Might wanna check this out. Hope you have nice holydays!
I’m surprised and not surprised how well this is doing on your channel I’m very glad though. I think that if they develop this game right it will be better then satisfactory and be one of the top games in its genre.
23:13 The Multiblast III is worse. Rather than a 1 to 1 ratio its a 5 to 3 ratio. You'll be loosing 2 chunks per mining charge. The upside is that it produces chunks faster with less machines, but if the machines are cheap, just build 2 more then you keep the 1 to 1 ratio and get the yield of 3 chunks.
each level is less efficent on charges.... but sometimes you have an excess of them (making plantmater for dirt/clay/ceramics). The blast smelters put out an /amazing/ amount of ore per space you can mine too. Sometimes I'd rather build more charges then start shipping in chunks.
The point of multiblast is to get more out of the deposit because even though you are using more charges (up to 12 at final level) you are HItting the Node only ONCE per blast. So you get 3 Chunks for the in world voxel cost of 1. You're also getting more per operation so more ore per second as long as you can keep up with the threshing
Am i missing something or how is the BDR-Multiblast upgrade an upgrade? 3 Chunks for 5 blasts, but one blast gives one chunk... The ratio is worse with the upgrade?
It's 3 chunks per 5 charges, but also it "takes" only chunk from the deposit. Which means the deposit exausts at a slower rate and gives you more ore since 1 chunk is 25 ore. And since charges a pretty much free it's just a balancing puzzle to get the require amount of charges to all the drills.
I think base building is poorly implemented. The fact that you have to craft each individual piece rather than using the materials to directly build them just makes it a mini game of inventory management which in my opinion not fun. I hope the devs see how much of an annoyance this is and implement a fix.
This game is so complicated already. Its good but the factory building reall needs to evolve with lifts added in, otherwise a factory becomes a nightmare to manage
This whole thing is Factorio but again. stack inserters are a Factorio thing. Please tell me you will play the new expansion for Factorio when it comes out!
Sorry but this "game" not for me, i have tried for third time...but the play experience its the worst i have in my whole life, savage sttutering and frame drops because potato...gameplay not clear, and above of all its impossible to adjust graphics to not make me vomit ( yes, i get sick playing this game ) thanks a lot to developers for their effort and hope the best for it...but not for me, three its the charm for chances on a game...

Yeah I'm surprised he didn't find them before, because they have been there since it hit EA on Steam.
As DoshDoshington said, you can get away with perpetual spaghetti as long as you call it the starter base

Honestly those Upgrades feel like Downgrades... their Charge usage to Lewt Ratio is a big Bang for Buck Profit loss. :(

As someone who enjoys but struggles to do well on automation games, you tearing up all that beautiful work in the beginning broke my heart lol

Would love to see some dyson spehere ❣️
First thing I did when finding Xray was just lay out a direct monorail track from Victor to Xray and maxed out Rail Rush. Not having to run back and forth XD is nice
also made it easy to create a drip feed of mining charges and bio bricks for the initial setup
I just telaport there 😅
Would love to see more Dyson Sphere Program!

You disappoint me kind sir. I was eagerly waiting for Dyson sphere program series
More Techtonica, please! 👍👍👍👍

You should try Anno 1800, would be very fun to see you play it.
This channel is my happy place
Do more Dyson sphere please
Its worth it to head back to the Excalibur, one of the doors in there will help you get a bunch of base building locations plus lore
I would like to see Dyson sphere more 😊
Excavate a shaft above your science platforms to allow them to provide more

oh man you gonna have blast now with building :D
It is a good looking game for sure. Very good you build underground too... something many of have wanted to do in other games but couldn't.
Its nice that optimizing games let you restructure, specially those in EA since things can change drastically from one day to the next.

I have bean playing for 4 months and it is not that bad u do the same thing in games like Minecraft
i just scan it for the blocks them self
This game is so complicated already. Its good but the factory building reall needs to evolve with lifts added in, otherwise a factory becomes a nightmare to manage
looks like satisfactory with 2014 graphic :D
Tried playing again, but every time I start a game like this, I think to myself "Why am I not playing Satisfactory?"
Unfortunate. It's really fun.
I'm liking this game because I don't have access to satisfactory this is in game preview on Xbox
Looks a lot like deep rock galactic, does it have anything to do with it?
this game reminds me of Fortresscraft Evolved but with more story, less tower defense
MORE CITIES SKYLINESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
