Hi! Thank you. Very kind of you, looking back at that early video, using old equipment, makes me smile, I know have upgraded you may have seen from the more recent ones! it makes a difference! I appreciate your feedback, thanks for tuning in! Andy
Hey - really appreciate you taking the time, I hope I can add some value and help share my years of knowledge and mistakes I made plus learned from all my wonderful athletes! More video's to follow..
Hey, thanks! Yes I love that and when you get emotional I find it really actually helps, such a simple tact, l learnt this from a sports psychologist once. Andy
Your videos are packed with great advice and information. Great video Andy. I also remember to tell the monkey to get lost when I'm in the middle of a race! No time for him!!
All very useful but I want to meet the, I'm assuming dog, that was scurrying around towards the end of the video! Ha! Love that you've touched on the mental edge side of things - will definitely take that on moving foward. Cheers
Hello! Thanks for the funny message - yes that will be Frankie kicking about, the cockerpoo..! classic - she often pops up into my video's... Glad you enjoyed it, keep an eye out I will be releasing some more knowledge ( 2 per week) and sharing my experiences. Really appreciate the feedback, enjoy! reach out if you need more help. Andy
great, informative video. coming from a running background I was surprised by how little running volume is needed. definitely need to get serious about my swim. currently prepping for a 70.3 thanks for sharing!
Hey! Thanks for taking the time, I am going to release a 70.3 soon as have been asked a bit for that! SO keep tuned in... Run background means you don't need to do much volume at all to "maintain" - just more conditioning off the bike I feel. Swim - so technical and can wear you out so by the time you are running your upper body is just fatigued, plus being in a TT position for so long, so the swim is important, but just to make it as easy as possible I feel. Steady, consistent weeks stack up! Enjoy
Hey - no worries, I spent a year in Sydney and Perth, loved it there just had to leave due to visa's etc - training with the gang there is quite hardcore but takes me back to some great memories.. I'll be back! Glad you enjoyed the video, more to follow!
The chimp paradox. I never heard of it I'll practise putting it in a box. I'd second your comment on being able to deal with mechanicals & btw going tubeless is not a garanteed protection against flats and can make it even harder in a worst case. I would agrue against it & use TPU tubes instead these days..
Hi, thanks for the feedback,a plus watching my vdieo's! Hope you enjoying them. Yeah, Steve Peters, have a read of his Chimp paradox, very useful. Yes about tubeless, never rely 100% on it! it hasn't caught me out yet but loads of people I know relied on it and didn't carry spares, bad error!
Hey! Thanks Matt, I appreciate the feedback.... Trying to add value and share some of my knowledge. Tenby is a beast... what a race. Look through some of my others videos about fuelling, plus S&C - that is important for a hilly run and bike course like Wales. Feel free to reach out if you need more help. Andy
Hey! Thanks for the message, appreciate it. Yea, I would consider specific pilates a strength session for sure. The right style and approach is gold for sure. I do strongly support, and so does the science, he sure loading for running so that’s the only thing you won’t be getting. Especially eccentric work. Andy
Wow, this actually explains everything really well! By far the most informative video out there, many thanks! Looking forward to more content.

Glad this came up Andy. Hope to take on an IM in the next few years as a older athlete and really liked your fresh take on this.

I love the idea of dedicating each mile on the run to a person. Thank you for the video.

I would do intensity first to get to specific training ( quite far from threshold)close to the race
Hey - yes, I agree that's how I usually construct the plan depending on how far out to event and athletes needs. Thanks for the message

Would Pilates count as the S+C sessions?
