I just finished watching the original Thai version (The Teacher's diary 2014) and I love Indian version (Notebook) as well. Both are great! Beautiful movies and nice songs.
Growing up in northeast india , we have Always been connected with the movies and dramas of other South East Asian. I have watched lots of K movies and dramas, to filipino to thai . Have watched this movies 7/8 years ago and this movie holds a very special place in my heart ❤
This is kind of based on true story. The story that inspired the movie was about a man who got a job and he found a dairy of a woman who used to work there so he tried to contact her and finally they got together :) and the writer team mixed the story together with a teacher who taught on a raft.
I remember getting into this movie when it first came out completely blind and uninterested because I was in my teenage years so I preferred movies with more dynamic like an action movie and those was the time when Marvel was in their top performance so this movie is completely flew over my head but I got dragged into watching in anyway and I still really impressed with the story

Thai is 100s times better. Indian version sucks. actors look ungly and they suck at acting also. Thai actors are really great and beautiful. No wonder indian version bombed hard on box office
