for me, STD and WORSHIP MUSIC are the ONLY ANTHRAX albums I like, and I think both are landmark metal albums. (I love SONGS.) (After STD, the band tried to sound TOUGHER and MEANER, cuz they were mocked as the dorks of the Big 4. This meant faster songs and thrashier songs FOR THE SAKE OF IT. No songwriting necessary.) (Even For All Kings is mostly UNinspired, vs the WOW WOW WOW of WM, which had no right being so killer.) (Just like VOIVOD's TARGET EARTH has no right being THAT landmark an art-metal record! Might be their BEST!)
I loved FFOMetal. And when I found a cassette of STDisease while in Toronto visiting relatives, I was 15, I loved it. Start to finish. Especially Joey's voice and how catchy and cute the tunes were. They instantly became my fav band. Any time I put it on it flashes me back to the summer of 86, listening to this album in my walkman, while I explored Toronto. My friend who did not care for Metal even liked it because of Joeys voice. Armed and Dangerous!!
I had heard of Anthrax & seen the cover for Fist full of Metal in some magazine but never heard them till the Madhouse video came out & was instantly hooked. I was already into of course Metallica & Exodus & when I heard the Anthrax guitar sound & the entire band & those awesome songs start to finish on Spreading it's still my favorite Anthrax album.
My top 10 anthrax songs of all time: 10. I'm the man 5. Got the time (Joe Jackson cover) 9. Antisocial (Trust cover) 4. caught in A mosh 8. Bring the noise 3. Among the living 7. A.I.R. 2. Indians 6. T.N.T. 1. Madhouse
Charlie laughing at Scott Ian for saying he likes Whitesnake at 2:10. Scott Ian hates glam metal, and says he likes that band. Hmm.. 🤔 btw Spreading the Disease is my favorite Anthrax album. 🤘
The original, historical Whitesnake has nothing to do with Glam, it was around waaay before Glam metal existed. The Glam version of Whitesnake had the interesting detail of including Steve Vai as a guitarist
Fernando Reyna Aguilar Whitesnake was basically a bluesy hard rock band until the mid 80s and the. Coverdale decided to go with the trend and put out the 87 record, which has a solid as hell lineup with John Sykes on guitar and amazing production... I love glam metal and thrash so to me it was just another ice cream flavor... If there was a show in the 80s that had both Whitesnake and Anthrax, I would fork out my cash
That place on Staten Island where they shot them in the raincoats on Staten Island, I have been there so many times and I never knew that one of my favorite bands was there. When Scott said that my jaw dropped lol
+Yassine Boulfiham ja idd veel plezier heb ze paar maanden geleden nog met slayer gezien is echt vet geloof me beter kan niet nouja metallica haha maar succes man
Glen Proenings Hoi Glen, Vet man! Ik kjk er super naar uit! Als Anthrax mij goed bevalt, dan ga ik ze ook proberen te zien in Paradiso :) Metallica heb ik dit jaar toevallig nog gezien in Munchen Rockavaria fetsival. Was ongelooflijk mooi!
Not gonna lie, as much as I love Joey, Scott and Frankie doing the vocals would have been awesome! Probably would have made them bigger too. Scott is basically the frontman anyway
HA, I just realized ANTHRAX took the OPPOSITE route of Metallica! By getting more POP, Metallica pissed off much of their fan base, but gained a gazillion new fans (most whom liked the early stuff). Anthrax BEGAN as KILLER POP THRASH and could've sold a zillion records, but they quickly went LESS POP after STD. (They were trying to be as dark and evil as Slayer but that ain't gonna work, boys!) WHOOOPS!
Frankie's backing vocal work is fantastic! His voice fits joey so well. If Anthrax didn't have Joey, they wouldn't be as popular as they are now. Joey being the frontman is what made the Anthrax crowd go crazy!
I Love the Album Start to finish and I Love Joey’s vocals better than fistful of Metal singer his name slips my mind at this time but Joey is the singer of anthrax and should always be... John Bush did a good job on his albums with the band but I didn’t feel they were true anthrax albums
son mis maximos idolos del metal !!!! mi primer cd que compre fue among the living cuando tenia como 15 años!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love fucking anthrax !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They like KISS too? What's with so many great musicians being inspired by such a mediocre and crappy band? Chuck Schuldiner, Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine etc. I just can't comprehend that.
Spreading The Disease is my favorite Anthrax album
Mine too.D🤘O.

Am I the only one that read the thumbnail as saying 80th anniversary?
no you are not
80th anniversary!
Damn these guys look good!
Scott can probably tell a story non stop for a year, he just doesn't seem to run out of fresh stories at every interview lol.

Joey: "I wanna know what love is.... I want you to show me..."
Anthrax: "We'll take it!"
Best decision ever made
Frank could totally handle vocals
his backing vocal is just perfect

In the early 80's, Whitesnake was still just a british hard rock band. Didn't join the glam/hair wave until a bit later

Ronald Molina Thanks 🤘🏻
Joey IS the real Anthrax singer! And Dan Spitz IS the real Anthrax lead guitarist!
i love his beard
I don’t understand how Anthrax hated glam metal but was inspired by kiss
xX_epikman6969420_Xx Kiss is Hard Rock, always has been.
Both still the same 90's Boys. Amazing
Charlie laughing about Whitesnake LMAO
son mis maximos idolos del metal !!!! mi primer cd que compre fue among the living cuando tenia como 15 años!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love fucking anthrax !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol Slayer, Megadeth and all on top of that head banging Maidens coming too all around the same time sick
What happened to Neil Turbin, did leave the band, was he kicked out?
He was kicked out after the supporting tour for Fistful of Metal.
@@davidnissim589 Thank you. Do you know the reason?
@@Danieledefranchisguitarist he was constantly ordering the band around. Dictating what they should wear.
@@titchwolffenris4077 thank you! I guess he wouldn’t like the Hawaiian bermuda they started to wear later on lol
@@Danieledefranchisguitarist According to the other members, it was because he was a total asshole offstage. Great voice, but terrible personality.
anthrax fuckin love you guys.ps can someone tell me the song in the end of the video?
Yet they would break out the shorts in '87.
Great Album. Not their best, but a great starter????
Don't include Fistful of Metal because I never managed to find it anywhere.

because it's a great band forget the doublebass and tremolo picking and think oldschool
Brunetto46 s
Caomishma yfy
it's because they were LITTLE KIDS when they first saw / heard of KISS, so they were impressionable.
Kiss is fukin great!!! Meaning the original line-up & couple records from the beginning of Eric Carr era. And the Revenge.
80th 🤣🤣
