I was team blue pop until you put the Vitty green up against the walls of the château, and then I saw what you saw. The way it compliments the nuances of the wall colors, and allows the plants to shine, it is a really good choice, that Samantha knows what she's doing! Thank you for another wonderful video.

Don’t listen to the haters, the green is so much more elegant! I think some viewers may like the blue because it pops on camera, but I could see it being way too overwhelming in person and incongruous with the rest of the facade. Also, once again, y’all are proving to be the most well-organized group in the Chateauverse. Your professionalism is really starting to pay off! I love how you are not afraid to employ experts to help you through some of the decision-making, even when you feel confident in your own skills. You just have to if you want a big project to move forward!
Offering an opinion on colour isn’t “hating” no need to be dramatic and following the fashion to comment on “hating”
I love the new shutter colour. The blue shouts whereas the soft green/sage sings in harmony with the rest of the exterior. Thank you for showing us your visit to F and B. Good luck with the preparations for the new season.

Being an architect and historic preservationist, I used Farrow & Ball paint in all of my personal houses in the US. I'm also using Farrow & Ball in the restoration of my house here in the south of France. Bonne chance with your choices.
The vity green doesnt overpower the stone walls , it lets you see them beautifully ! 🥰
The green is very soothing to look at. At first I was sad about loosing the french blue, but the green is really nice. Love that you are taking your choices seriously.
The color for the shutters is perfect!! For all the right reasons, being more subtle and where is blends in with the hues of the stone And nature!! Much less of a distraction to the architectural elements in comparison to the existing blue!! Bravo!!
The colour choice you chose is excellent for the windows and shutters. It’s an accent colour that brings out the château at first glance instead of having the windows and shutters pop up at you at first glance. It’s nice to have a colour consultant as experienced as her but it’s very important you choose what you love. I love the soft colours of Bridgerton decor, or Marie Antoinette movie. Excellent choices to reference from. Enjoy the process it’s not about the getting there it’s about the journey, so don’t stress out.💝

Although I really like green colors,I adore the blue shutters.The pop of colour is so interesting and fun. Not everything has to blend in. 🥰
Am so glad the blue shutters will be green. It looks fabulous. It seems like so many chateau’s have blue shutters and it shouts out so you notice nothing else. Going back to the historical colors is the way to go for sure. It will be beautiful.
l really like the blue it's the only pop of color in late fall and winter and early spring.

Both colours are great, blue and green. Aesthetically, they suit well. However, the olive green is so associated with Provence nowadays that it looks a bit strange at Puy Vidal.

How fabulous to have a color specialist come, to spark more ideas to your already amazing esthetic. I've yet to see any thing that you and your mom "decorate " that is nothing but beautiful. I absolutely love the Vitte color choice for the shutters and French doors. While I understand the blue is somewhat traditional, I never cared for it. Interesting though, that the color specialist wears all black...😊

Hi all. You have already created beautiful spaces/rooms but, having a color consultant will help save time and take the decision-making pressure off your shoulders. It will all look stunning and i can't wait to see it when its all completed. I loved listening to your mom talking about family friends and Carolina's parents, she has such a sweet and kind heart....you all do! I am a retired interior designer and whilst we don't have chateaus in australia, they method in which you go about creating a room are basically the same. The colour consultant and yourselves picked out some beautiful pallets and wallpapers in very soft muted tones tones but my one observation was that all the surfaces appeared to be quiet flat. Before deciding make sure that you can find fabrics, soft furnishings etc to lift these pallets through texture and pattern and no I am not saying you need pops of colour, quiet the opposite. I very much like your style as I always liked using muted tones but balanced them with stripes, brocades , linen or damask fabrics., mixing up fabrics etc. What an exciting time for you all and I must say I am most jealous and almost wish i was not retired x
Choosing wallpapers and paint colours can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. To have an expert helping you to have a bigger picture and a plan that brings everything together is a wise decision and money well spent. Looking forward to see how renovation continues. I wasn't sure at first of the color for the exterior. It didnt feel warm or give a pop, to matchy. But once it dried and moved out to the sun I felt it. The calm and inviting, and the beauty of the pots and flowers and greenery. You have lots of big decisions to make but from the looks of what you've already done at the Chateau the rest will come together beautifully. 🦋

So glad you let Samantha show you what works best for the exterior shutter etc colors. The Vitty green gives the chateau exterior a subdued elegance which I think is very hard to find now-a-days. Samantha knows her stuff. Have you thought of cleaning up some of the exterior bricks which have what looks like black soot on them? Really enjoyed that trip to Paris to the L'Hotel de la Marine. It was jaw dropping. Thank you for sharing.💜 : )

Respectfully, I ‘ve always gravitated toward the blue-grey color as very emblematic of French style. It is both a calming and elegant color. I enjoy your channel , and am sure you’ll find the best colors for your chateau.
In my humble opinion the new shuttle color is harmonious, too harmonious for my Latina heart, and prefer the blue. 😊😊😊
I adore the green for the external windows and shutters and doors. It seems to bring in the Italian influence you enjoy.
I can imagine the cypresses and also olive trees in terracotta pots and climbing roses or even bougenvilleas tracing up the walls. Maybe even lemon and orange potted trees too.
The wallpapers and colour selections from Samantha are also special and how exciting to have help to pull the whole Chateau colour scheme together. Can’t wait to see the East wing final choices.

The introvert table made me laugh out loud 😂 I made large wooden panels with different wallpaper and put them against the walls. Took me a couple of months to decide what I wanted. And then months to decide what colour woodtones. I still painted over some parts. Take your time, nothing is lost with painting it again 😉 Are you sure you are allowed to change the shutter colour? It isn't allowed here to change the outside of a monument. Ooooh, big wedding? I love how every person at the chateau got a little part of this video. Perfect idea.

Well I believe it is safe to say, you can toss out the PINTEREST boards! This will be perfect all the way around. F&B expert will be the magnifent moments for the future renovation. Her suggestion for viewing the hotel was spot on! It was absolutely beautiful. Surprisingly, I loved the bold green & all white curtains, & everything else. One idea I had, was maybe take inventory of all your current patterns, see what resembles the new choices. You could maybe use a solid fabric color, then trim the bottom or sides with what you currently have (companion fabrics) could also assist in upcoming choices. Come on peeps, 31K views, means more than 5K are not subscribed! Maybe sand, prep & paint 1 shutter set first, then evaluate the color. Fabulous video!

Each morning I pour myself a cup of coffee and settle into the couch to see what the lovely smart and immensely talented ladies (and gent) of the chateau are up to! Yes, I said EVERY morning. I am not above watching episodes over and over again. You are my comfort TV. You help me ready for another dreary day of the corporate world. I was so happy to see that today was all about couleur! I cannot wait to see your final selections. I love your attention to detail and thoughtfulness as you zhuzh up the chateau. I have to admit I was hesitant with the Viti Green recommendation but I am starting to embrace it. ❤ I am also purchasing the candle that smells like Versailles. I have heard it mentioned in other vlogs and I must check it out. I feel deeply that smells are important memory makers and set the tone of almost every emotion.
I totaly understand , there have been certain movies , music, books, stores and, yes even, YoutTube videos ,that hit that spot that inspires every time,. I absolutely love the green- it’s subtle and beautiful. I like it so much better than the blue. First of all, it seems like every French château has that blue, and second of all I find the soft, stone-green so much more calming. I think it will be a beautiful backdrop with plants and it will make flowers pop more. I often find that those blues pull focus to them. Frances when I see the château, the first thing my eye is drawn to is that blue and I’d rather rather be looking at the architecture and horticulture. Beautiful job you guys I think this château is going even more magnificent under your care.
At first I said no to the green as I liked the blue shutters, but the green is more subtle and calmer. In some places in France, they have to stay with the color that is allowed. I think the green is awesome. I am so happy Maruca had friends and family visits. Wow, it was lucky the men didn't break the oil pipe. Did I hear wedding? I love me a beautiful wedding. Shutter color…it seems like it depends on if u want them to be a feature you keep the pop of blue…and if u want them to recede u go with the green…really ur preference…both are lovely.
