I would love to see a comparison with the ultra HD foundation. I’m definitely leaning more towards that one. I feel like this new one would dry out my skin. I normally have dry skin. But my face isn’t as dry as the rest of my body.
FYI, I mentioned to someone else that Jena Froese did a side by side comparison on her channel in case you wanted to check it out, in case Morgan doesn’t do one.
You are spot on with this foundation review. I bought mine today wore for only a few hour and it started breaking down for me in the same areas. I have dry skin and it just became greasy and not at all what it claims to be...this was a let down for me unfortunately 😕
I LOVE the new packaging on this foundation honestly! Ooo this sits SO nicely on your skin on first application and looks amazing with the completed makeup too. ALSO this lip on you is EVERYTHING!
Aww, your mum making you your drink is so sweet. You're going to miss her so much when you relocate 😢😢. As someone who has dry, dry skin - zero oils NEVER - this foundation really concerns me. I have a feeling it may cause more dryness to my already dry skin. Maybe, with the right primer and a hydrating finishing spray, it might work for me. I have so many excellent foundations already that I don't have to faff around with. I'll be sticking to those, I won't be getting this one - I was so looking forward to this one, darn it. I hope you manage to get everything packed up without too much bother. How very exciting for you both.
Ok, these are the ones I use the most but not in any preference order : Beauty Blender Bounce, TF Shade & Illuminate and Traceless Soft Matte, Shiseido - All of them 😉, Armani Luminous Silk, Chanel No.1, Flower Beauty Light Illusion, PM Skin Fetish, YSL Touché Éclat, Chantecaille Future Skin and Just Skin, Dior Skin Glow, Guerlain L'essentiel, Zelens Age Cintrol and Youth Glow, Nars Light Reflecting, Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion, LYS Triple Fix, Tarte Maracuja Tinted Hydrator. Of course, there's more but I think there's plenty here. Please bare in mind, skincare , treatments and hormonal changes will effect how a foundation wears on me. I hope you find this useful, xxx
I am glad I grabbed it. Did not try the original version. I have normal skin and the finish looks so soft. I think that dry folks this is probably a no go. Thanks for the review and your thoughts.
I am looking forward to your monthly follow up video. Thanks for the review. I may pick this up later in the Spring when my skin is not so dry. No foundation is sitting perfectly at the moment. I typically go without or wear a skin tint. It doesn’t matter how much moisturizer I use or what primer, I still seem to have these dry patches. I am ready for Spring.
I am having the same issue! All of these foundations are coming out and I want to try them but even my tried and true foundations that I have look awful on me at the moment!
@@canelami1285 I have redness on my cheeks, too. I have been applying just a bit of foundation or skin tint to my cheeks only. I blend it in to the rest of my face. I try to use the lightest layer possible to avoid dryness. This dry weather is harsh.
Hey girl! Thanks for the review! Can you do a side by side comparison of the Ultra HD foundation? The Ultra HD foundation is also my HG so I’m curious to see how this wears compared to the OG version.
Thank you for this video, it has been so useful because i nearly wanted to buy it. You look so pretty in all foundation anyway Morgan. Lots of love from London
Awesome review. I tried this today. I honestly didn’t like the feel or look of it. I could feel it drying out my skin after ten minutes of having it on and I even prepped my skin well for this foundation. Definitely felt mask like. For reference, I have combo skin :)
I got this from influenster. I've never tried the original formula but I do love this one! I have oily skin and it kept my skin looking nice for 5 hours, that was the only time that I wore it for. I also got a yellow undertone but it's really subtle so I made it work.
I don't know if you noticed but the foundation claims to be for normal to oily and combination skin.. which maybe why it seems heavy on skin.. just a thought
Looking forward to your follow up thoughts because I was really excited for this one! I will probably pick up the Dior Forever Matte one though because both you and Taylor Wynn have been raving about it!
I love the other HD from them and am so excited to see your review! And I was worried there was no match but they told me which is closest to R220. ❤️❤️
Thanks for the review! I'm still interested. You mentioned oily skin and that's sort of me (combo normal/oily), so I hope this works! Got a sample yesterday from Sephora. Good luck on packing, btw!! I do not envy you there haha!
It would be good to see a side by side with the original MUFE and this new one. I used the original MUFE which was "Ok" but if you have dry skin and its breaking down then it has to be worse for combo-oily skin like mine...
I was kind of excited about this foundation but I just don’t know if I want to take the plunge as of yet. I’ve gotten so many new foundations lately, I may just hold off for now. At least until I see your follow up! 😉
Do you think the center face issue maybe due to layering the foundation? I mean you should be able to layer. But, I have some light wear foundations that are just one layer and done.
I have combo skin but i still don't like that alcohol is the 3rd ingredient, i don't think this is a foundation you could use daily, I'm going to stick with my Nars light reflecting foundation
I used to love Makeup forever foundation before. Matt Velvet, face&Body oil base foundation was very good. the last foundation I bought from them is the HD one, since then I think they lost their magic.
Yes it is a natural foundation. Have you watched makeup artist Wayne Goss review on this foundation? He said it looks like skin .I’m 50 and I wear this foundation and it’s very natural in the skin. You must be the only one that says otherwise.
@@innerview6298 I have normal skin but it can get dehydrated at times depends on my hormones and also the weather. In summer my t-zone can get a little oily but not too much.
So excited for this review, literally been using this foundation since 2010 it's the foundation, I always go back to this despite what else I try. So based on your review the new foundation doesn't coincide with the old foundation shades... I know when they reformulated the current hd foundation the shades didn't coincide...which is a bummer to have to find your shade all over again. Great review!!
I hate alcohol in my foundations, they parch my skin. I have the urban decay stay naked foundation which also have alcohol and although it gives a great finish and lasts all day, it's so drying. The alcohol makes foundations last longer though, hence most setting sprays like the UD setting spray have it.
I’m not sure whether to watch this because if I buy another foundation I’m probably certifiable. Buttttt it’s our beautiful Morgan so of course I’m going to 🥰🥰❤️
I swatched this today in store and it felt almost gel like consistency🤔 Foundations never look good around my nose and mouth except a select few! It sucks , I love trying new foundations but they never work 🥴
hi! I really enjoyed watching your videos! But have you considered in maybe changing your intro? maybe something more less fast! thanks for sharing your input all your videos :)
Ugh MUFE is the only brand that matches my skin perfectly (Y245) without having to buy 2 shades to mix - and now they dropped that shade completely with this new formula :-( Canadian Sephora not listing the old formula anymore - it's gone!!
If you scroll though the photos on Sephora Canada it lists the old to new shade matches. I’ll still prob go into a store to check, as it’s saying my R300 now matches a shade with neutral undertones-which I am not!
That's a little disappointing. It looked so good when you put it on. I have the original so I had high hopes for this one. Please keep us updated after your move. Thank you Morgan!
You are beautiful I love this review! I'm an esthetician and I wouldn't say you have dry skin you are more of a combination skin type. You have larger pores in the T-zone area and you seem to get oily as the day progresses. You seem to have some hormonal acne going on. The dry patches may be from weakened skin barrier or just because it was winter when you filmed. Just my professional opinion. Hopefully this doesn't offend you in any way. But other than that great review very informative 💋
I would love to see a comparison with the ultra HD foundation. I’m definitely leaning more towards that one. I feel like this new one would dry out my skin. I normally have dry skin. But my face isn’t as dry as the rest of my body.
The new one is newly reformulated of the Ultra HD so it’s replacing it
please do side by side comparison
FYI, I mentioned to someone else that Jena Froese did a side by side comparison on her channel in case you wanted to check it out, in case Morgan doesn’t do one.
You should do a video of the makeup that you’re keeping on you during the 10 days while the movers have your collection 😊
Agreed
This is one of my new favorite foundations. I discovered, that Prepping a skin is a MUST for this one.
Def would love to see the side by side comparison

Ok please share, what foundations do you use? Also do you use a primer?
Yes please share! Everything cakes on my dry skin. pretty much given up since I have to moisturise my face so many times a day 😂🤦🏻♀️
@Chrissy Moss What are some of your favorite foundations? I'm on a journey to find the right one!

Not usually, I might use a luminous primer under a matte foundation. That said, I do want to try the new HourGlass primer.
I love that you’re so honest! That’s what I love about your videos.

That powder you used with it is actually on the heavy side. Maybe try the foundation with an airier powder?

I don’t think they are going to keep the old formula. Only select shades are still available and it was half off at Sephora a couple months ago
I was excited seeing how it looked in the beginning!!! Then so disappointed!!! It looked so beautiful 😭
Yes for the side by side!!
Thank you for the honest feedback on this! I have a similar skin type so I’m worried it won’t work well for me either

is this the foundation you used for your wedding?
My local sephora is still not selling the new formula. So I can't test the new e shades in the store.
