Speaking the Unspeakable, Robyn Westgate

Academic Robyn Westgate is the MATE@Curtin Bystander Training Project Lead and the Family and Domestic Violence Project Officer at Curtin University. Robyn's presentation for the Embolden2024 Congress on The [un]Silencing of Older Women shared her perspectives as an academic and a family violence survivor. Robyn describes being convicted of the 'wilful manslaughter' of her husband, her prison sentence, the importance of hope and becoming a passionate advocate for prevention of family violence.
