🎬In this video we share our travel day vlog from hell! Starting in Naples and taking a train to Rome, we thought it would be a smooth journey. Little did we know, massive delays awaited us on our train from Rome to the airport. After waiting for what felt like forever, the train we booked disappeared! In a race against time, we hopped into a taxi with only a few hours left before our flight.
But wait, there's a twist! As we arrived at the airport, we found out that our bid for upgraded seats had come through. Talk about a stroke of luck! ✈️ As we checked in and dropped off our bags, we were told we could access the Ita lounge, only to be disappointed when we arrived and were denied entry. Thank goodness for American Express, we never leave home without it!😉 We made full use of their lounge, indulging in showers and adult beverages, only to realize that our flight was boarding right at that moment. Panic mode activated!
Miraculously, the crew opened the door for us, allowing us to board just in the nick of time. Phew! The flight from Rome to Cairo seemed like a breeze, marking our exciting accomplishment of visiting our sixth continent this year. Little did we know, more hurdles awaited us upon arrival. In customs, we discovered that the Egyptian pound was not accepted for the required entry visa. Cue more waiting as we anxiously waited for the bank to reopen. Talk about a private bus gone wrong! 😂
To add to the adventure, I had brought along a DJI gimbal for super smooth shots, despite knowing that drones were not allowed in Egypt. The officials inspected it thoroughly, even taking my passport for a nerve-wracking moment. Thankfully, that was the last of our troubles on this trip. From this point on, you'll get to see our stunning hotel, the beautiful Meridian Hotel in Cairo.
