Great content Tannor! Really appreciate the effort to bring us the plain numbers. That gives great insights.
I wonder what you think about StoneCo. I feel there is also some good profits for stockholders to be seen

Sofi has the advantage of being in the US but I still don't like their inability to lend into a customer base with 750 credit score. Nubank is lending to people with no credit score! Yes, both have relatively high delinquency rates for banks but Nubank is lending to a much tougher customer base. Also high cost of funds for Sofi is going to make it difficult for them to mature into auto loans, which is a normal revenue channel for most banks. Own both but have more NU because I like their philosophy and great growth and expense stats.

Hey Tannor do you share your portfolio and allocations anywhere?

Great video Tannor! The least risky of those imho is NU. The biggest upside is probably with SOFI but with more risk. I would only consider SQ if wanted to diverisify, otherwise NU and SOFI are more compelling to me. Another comment is: it is more appropriate I think to compare SQ with STNE and DLO, while comparing SOFI and NU with PAGS (someone below talked about PAGS too). Great video as always man!!!!

Another comment with regard to SQ: personally I am not too impressed with Dorsey, never was. I don't feel to easy with him and even for that reason alone I wouldn't hold a meaningful position with SQ. But ... obviously it's just me, I know there are many who love him. I'm not too impressed with him, especially compared with Noto or David Velez

My money is in NU. Considering SOFI just because it has a Creators Agency type following on TH-cam. I think Noto and cohorts are paying creators. NU obviously isn't. If you think about how Creators Agency went down with crypto it would make sense they are not the only folks paying for targeted content. This is not a good thing, but stocks become fashionable despite their books, it is just how it is. There is money to be made on targeted hype. You are doing great work. Very detailed analysis.

Lending is part of banking. You cannot have a successful bank without the ability to lend. That's the way you offset cost of funds. They attract deposits by paying out 4+%. That works if you can use the funds to earn higher earnings. Typically Megabanks pay nothing on deposits and earn 20%+ on credit card, 10% on consumer loans, prime+2% on commercial loans and mainly fees on real estate loans. So they earn big spreads on loans vs deposits. SOFI can't spend millions on stadium naming fees, NBA affiliation and other high marketing expenses just to attract 4% cost of funds. They have to earn something from these deposits. Their high delinquencies on credit cards and personal loans is not a good sign.

Is the increase is CAC for SoFi worrisome? Isn’t that one of Gary Gordon’s biggest reasons for being a bear?

BLOCK is spending the most on lobbying and 17 billion ARR and almost inclusion into SnP 500 2025.
Sofi?..below the 50MA.and 20 short interest it's the worst of the 3 by far..... but cheapest and cheap is always cheap for a reason
