Hello, I am an international dentist, I recently just passed the INBDE (thanks to bootcamp btw, thank you guys so much). My Question is, do I need to take this exam also to get into advanced dentistry programs? or is this test mainly for students that are trying to get into dental schools? Thank you for your time, i appreciate it
I have a question when do you take the DAT and can u take it as a high school student and then after you graduate high school you go to a dental school directly
You have to have completed the pre-requisite courses, most of which are offered in college. You can see what courses your desired dental school wants by going to their website. Afterwards, you can schedule a meeting with an advisor at your college so you can register for these classes
Hi Mariam, there is a fast track to dental school, some programs offer this such as Penn, UPacific and Nova to name a few. Essentially you would do 3 years of undergrad and then start dental school after that. In North America you can't pursue dentistry straight out of Highschool. If you interested in learning more about these fast track options, I would email those schools directly and see how one would go about doing them. Best of luck! -Alex
