I'll be going with my girlfriend in september 2025, it's going to cover both of our birthdays and I plan on proposing, hopefully with Mt.Fiju as a backdrop.
Going for my second trip in May 2025 (after Golden Week, I can't deal with those crowds haha) and celebrating my 40th there. Japan is an incredible country, can't wait to go back❤
All great info as usual! I always avoid going during sakura season, for me it's too cold, the trees are still bare & these days it's much too crowded. I plan either late May - June as I love strolling with my umbrella seeing green mossy gardens & blue hydrangea during rainy season. A little light rain never gets me down. Or Goldilocks month, October when the heat of Summer is over and the weather is juuust right :) Merry Christmas Ninja Monkey & happy travelling in the New Year.
For June, if you go to Chiba Park, the Oga Lotus will be in bloom. In spite of the rain and mosquitoes and cockroaches, I can put up with them to see this flower.
Kyoto and Osaka are the places to be in October it seems! All the event listings focus on these places. For those who can't make it to the Fertility Festival in Shizuoka, there's also one in Kawasaki in April.
To be honest there are so many more events and im sure the calendar will get busier too but these are the main bits if found with the info currently available.. I found it hard to find stuff after Septmber!
I will be going to Japan for 3 weeks in February 2025. Thanks for the tips. I mainly go for a lot of J-Rock concerts (BAND-MAID, Lovebites, Toranoko Rammy, Mutant Monster and Nomophila). 💜🎶🤘
I'm planning on being there from late June to early July of next year. And this time aside of checking out the "golden triangle," I'm planning to start off my trip in Hiroshima and taking the Shinkasen for the other northern places. It's gonna be a lot of fun.
hmmm,... the mountain roads will be open in Aomori Prefecture so Oirase Gorge will be accessible. The seafood here and in Hakodate is better than anything you can get in Tokyo,
@ fantastic and hot. 3 days in Osaka, 1 each in Kobe and Kyoto, 5 in Tokyo but stayed in akihabara, shinjuku, and Maihama. Got to experience two festivals (one local, one region) which was a cool experience. As a Godzilla fan I tried to hit all the major things like awaji island, Toho studios, the hotel, etc. Walked almost 120 miles ttl on the trip. I’m used to heat and humidity being from the US South but boy did that summer humidity hit hard. Wish I spent more time in Kyoto, maybe next time
will be on Japan with my partner from April 20 - May 1 which I think 3 days of it from April 29 to May 1 is a golden week. Is it actually a bad idea to go during Golden Week or its just fine?
Just be respectful and understand the Japanese culture and follow them. Do that, you will enjoy Japan even more. Just Don't bring Western and Chinese habits or your visa can be revoked for good! Japan does not play around if you are disruptive against Japanese society norms.
hmmm,... ww! not even Japanese understand Japanese 「culture」(^_^) ... the municipal police will be extremely reserved, especially the ones in Kameido I think. For the security and police stationed in Akasaka, they will be polite and helpful but I would never misbehave to them. The carry keijō (I don't know how to translate) which actually look really scary.
There is no other Winter light display which can exceed Luminarie beauty ... but it is actually a death memorial. This is why I avoid Kobe ... to me, it is an extremely sad place.
My advice is to go with someone who speaks and reads fluent japanese or join a group where you can meet up with locals because there is a lot of racism towards foreigners. Some places will not allow you entry unless you are japanese or with a japanese national
@@NinjaMonkeyguy hmmm,... some hostess clubs will have this rule but ... I am not very familiar with 水商売 ! (^_^) ... to me it makes sense; it seems so many foreign tourists do not speak Japanese and don't have the amount of money for these places.
hmmm,... my relatives dragged me to a Kimetsu no Yaiba exhibit in Kyobashi yesterday but ... I learned that there will be an Aubrey Beardsley exhibit in Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum next February ! (^_^)
@@NinjaMonkeyguy I think the best will be Tokyo National Museum Summer exhibit of Hōnen-bō Genkū ... Pure Land Buddhism is really interesting to me even though our family is Soto Zen. Anyway, all my family chores are done so I can finally leave Japan this month ! (^_^) ... the family will take hot spring bath in Itou (Izu Peninsula) ... this may be interesting for you ... the hot spring hotel Tokaikan is now a museum,... it is where Admiral Togo stayed,... there is a room devoted to him.
Nice one too! How do You see May, just after the end of golden week, as a travel period compared to first weeks of October (this year I had the worst weather just the first 10 days of October... first it has been WAY too hot - still over 31° C with 92 to 95% humidity... then it always, I say ALWAYS, rained every day.... sometimes heavily...😅)???
@@NinjaMonkeyguy I'm hoping that too.... last October with my miscalculation about chinese "silver week" (or something like that) and the vagaries of the weather, it has been a very "interesting" trip... still I had a lot of fun...😁😁😁
If you enjoy heat and humidity, have fun ! (^_^) ... if you stay in the larger cities you should be mostly safe from mosquitoes. Also, after so many years, suddenly dengue fever appeared in Japan this year.
Damn You Ninja Monkey, this post just makes me want to be in Japan all year round. I can't afford to make that happen, but I wish I could. いちがつ 友達. Temptation I can resist anything but Temptation. Now you provided Temptation.✊
@ I know I’m excited checking off some last minute things I need to get. I’m nervous about the airports more than anything being it’s my first time flying.
hmmm ... you will need to wait for the next pandemic. Then too, if native Japanese return during the country closure, they are quarantined and treated like second class citizens.

@@NinjaMonkeyguy thank you!!
Have a great trip! I’m going in October for my birthday!
hmmm,... for Japan, I think if you do this during Tanabata at night it will be the most appropriate ...

Honestly, some really great recommendations here 😁

I’m going in late sept/early October. Changing my itinerary to catch the festival in Takayama! Thanks for the tip!
That sounds like a great choice! double check the dates as things can always change

Sounds great!
I was thinking of a September visit to Onimichi, adding the Tokyo Game Show sounds interesting. thanks for the tips.
Onimichi is a lovely city, I did a video about it a few years back! and Tokyo Game Show could be a fun addition!
Awesome rundown, dude!
Thanks!
Great video my friend!!
Thanks for the visit
Amazing video, my month of visit would be once every season if I can , my fav is May though
Once every season... I think I did that last year too!
Going solo for 3 weeks in june, could you do a video about the expo pleeaase ? 🙏
I'm looking into posible EXPO info, might be a Short though

CHeck out my Tohoku itinerary that takes you north

Planning a trip during September for my birthday, but it will depend on work allowing it.
Hope work lets you go!
I'm planning to go in May just after golden week. Last time I went at same time and it was amazing.
After Golden week should be good, really any time in Japan is good haha
Late October to mid November 😊
Nice! its a nice time to visit
Haven’t nailed down my schedule yet but two weeks around October-December.
Did late June-early July last time
how was your previous trip?!

Got my ticket for early November to experience the tokyo international pen show!
Pen Show?! whats that about
Second week of November. Would it be too cold? I will be visiting Tokyo, Osaka, Nara and Kyoto
things have been so different the last 2 years, but Novemeber should see milder weather with colder weather .. LAYER!
Just be respectful and understand the Japanese culture and follow them. Do that, you will enjoy Japan even more. Just Don't bring Western and Chinese habits or your visa can be revoked for good! Japan does not play around if you are disruptive against Japanese society norms.
I think it is important to be respectful when travelling anywhere! Japan is no exception!

i am going in february 2025. yaaayyyy. i am looking forward looking orchid gran prix
Feb is cold but I think its an underestimated time too
Kobe Luminarie will be in Jan/Feb going forward, 24/01/25 to 02/02/25
thanks for the info!

This is simply not true. Not saying it doesn’t happen but for majority of tourists this would never be the case
