This is one of the best performances of this song, and this is the clearest footage of a nirvana concert from when they were an underground band, amazing right?
@@naivecrew4445 I’m aware of that, I’m referring to the fact there are two guitarists in ‘89, ( Kurt and Jason) and the vocals being so good. A recipe he went to again with Pat in ‘93

I've been listening to Nirvana since I was 9 years old (admittedly that was from 94), I am new to this other guitarist. He does a great job. I have read a couple of Nirvana books and he wasn't really even in there. I know Chad Channing well but this guy isn't mentioned much.
He's called Jason Everman, he didn't get to play on any albums but he did 2nd guitar on a few gigs and paid for the production of bleach. He was fired because Kurt tought he was too much of a moody netalhead or something like that and didn't fit
This Nirvana video, very rare ! This kind of small places concerts, is the best!!! The audience is so close to the band and the band so close to the audience! It is very very beautiful feeling! Usually in university's concerts is like this. The same is in Greece , Hello , 2021/11, still covid 19, what's happening?
Same, which is funny to me bc like In that band i'm sure as shit Chad, the drummer, was the shortest But in my band the guy who'll play bass is the shortest and the drummer is so tall that when i met him in 7th grade i tought he was from 9th
That would have been loud af in person. Also Kurt made that damn mosrite style guitar skyrocket in price as well as cheap student guitars like a mustang.

This is the real Nirvana: grungy small venue days. Krist playing with his fingers not a pick.
@@LordStompyHarpLoonyTunes That's grunge for ya
80s nirvana was great even tho there barely any good live audio. With chad and jason and before heroin
@@LordStompyHarpLoonyTunes Did Krist always play with his fingers back then, or only on select songs?
It sounds like shit :|
Holy crap! Chad Channing AND Jason Everman. This goes way back.
IKR it’s sick
To 1989? That's seconds ago.
They were a great addition to the band, actually.
@@sadderthanyou7793 you can't hear a thing that everman does on guitar. lol
Saw Everman With SoundGarden, after Hiro left. He was in 2 great bands, before they got huge..he must be pulling his Hair out " FawwwwK!!!!"
Damn, Kurt's vocals are so on point here!! So powerful!
And that’s why they brought Pat Smear into the mix so Kurt could focus a little more on vocals
@@mattmackay106 this is 89 and your talking bout 94
@@naivecrew4445 I’m aware of that, I’m referring to the fact there are two guitarists in ‘89, ( Kurt and Jason) and the vocals being so good. A recipe he went to again with Pat in ‘93
Yeah in this particular year if you watch their concerts you'll see how crisp and well they played. And Kurt's vocals were very much on point indeed.
his vocals always are butg this song he always sings so well , i guess he really liked it
Imagine being there; not realising that this band will become one of the biggest in the next few years.
That they had so much influence on people, in that short period of time.
It happened to me at a small show of Blink 182 in bordeaux in 97. They were opening for Pulley and Lagwagon. They got huge 2 or 3 years later.
saw them at a party during this era, and i knew. for real. they were that good and different. when smells like teen spirit came out i almost puked i was so stoked.
I'm amazed how almost every early gig of Nirvana was video recorded, at a time cameras wasn't so common...
I didn't own a digital camera until like 2007. And i used vhs until about 2003
What? You should look up to LZ and The Stones Channel.
Right?? We have even their first show (at a friends house) recorded on video
And ones from about 1991 - 1994 are barely recorded. Like, a ton of live audio's but no videos.
Time travelers making us a big favour 😉
Jason Everman being able to include both Nirvana and Soundgarden on his musical resume is pretty awesome.
And then he went on to join the Army Special Forces as a Green Beret and served tours in Afghanistan in Iraq.
@@TomO-jv7jb Bad ass.

Man, he really rocked that long hair. Never saw him with his hair that long.
This is the only time I've seen Everman playing this.
me too
And what about Rhino Records? Haven't you seen that gig yet?
Only time I've seen Krist play with fingers not pick
only time I see Kurt play in complete classic grunge outfit.
@@LordStompyHarpLoonyTunes holy shit I didn’t notice, it looks so wrong with him lol
I love how About A Girl was like a window into what was to come a pointer to their greatness
It's as if Kurt listened to the song and thought "Hey, that turned out pretty good, I think I'll try and write another 12 that are as good or better."

Wow, yes. It's "All My Loving".
My favorite hair metal band.
They killed hair metal in 1991.
Guys have good hair, good raw material for something bigger, like Love/Hate or Cindarella.
