    This is such a bad review. The V60CC isn't a cross-over and it isn't a compromise, it's intended for someone who wants something sporty with better handling and less body-roll but lives somewhere with rough terrain. Your delivery is so wooden and impersonal and you didn't try for a second to figure out who would want to buy the V60CC. This review is a failure.

    Yeah, about that MPG. Unfortunately, that's what everyone tends to forget. Its not all glory with four cylinders, and they have to work harder to reach the same performance as the old five cylinders, which have more headroom. So thats why MPG is not that great with the 'drive-e' things. Even worse on a heavy car like the new XC90, the T6 there tends to do worse than 1:10 litres per kilometre. We own a V60 with the D6 hybrid engine, and on highways when only the D5 diesel engine is used, it can be really economical. Probably more than an XC90 T6. So let this be another argument for real driving emissions, so that we dont get fooled by nice MPG and low CO2 values which are far from the actual situation.

    I like the new powertrain of the XC60, but I just can't get over how tilted the car looks, it's like the car is constantly leaning forward and struggling for balance. The V60 looks pretty good in my opinion, but the XC60 wins everything else.

    I really don't think the V60 CC has more space in the trunk than XC60...The roof on the backside of V60 CC i very low, and it doesn't even have tempaspare (extra tire) in the trunk.
    Personally, i would choose the XC60. It's roomy, higher, lot more space and more comfortable.
    Btw, the XC60 has become the most sold mini crossover in whole Europe acording a swedish motorsite :)
    V60 CC is a great car, but the XC60 is a lot more car for the money.
    XC60 is the best Volvo in modern time! :)

      Yeah he compared the V60CC with the rear seat down with the XC60 with the rear seat up. This whole report is sloppy with several such errors.

    Well when you break you lift your foot, roll the last bit and when you have come to a complete stop the engine shuts down right away. Easy! Not like it should work but you can always adapt to it and make it work just as well. Havn´t had that problem anyway...

    The v60cc costs 6.800 € less than the xc60 (Greek prices). This serious difference in price i think equalizes the minor difference in space between the two models.

    I have a 1999 XC70 Cross Country. I am running it until she dies. (240k miles right now) But when it does die, I will be buying a used XC60.

    You mentioned the T6 can take regular gas.. I was looking at the 2017 xc60 and manual said 91 octane. My current 2005 xc90 2.5T says 87 octane. Would you use 87 if the manual says 91? That's a little bit of a factor as here in Canada its over 30 cents more per liter

    • @luvjoebacon2915

      Yours says 87? My 06 2.5T Xc90 said 91 for me

    You got it backwards. The XC60 has more cargo space than the V60. 67 cu ft to something like 43.

    Can't you have the XC70 in US? That's the best one if you want space and comfort, except maby for the new XC90.

    • @ytdewalle
      @ytdewalle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They stopped selling it years ago :-( . And even when it was still for sale here, in the last few years there was no turbo option on that car (in the US).

      Yes, the problem is Volvo think to make the car more exciting and fun they have to put profiled tyres on it and make it sporty! I think they need to be more boxy again and the modern ones need proper controls for the temperature etc.

    Oh, and the XC60 isn't a crossover, it's an SUV. The V60 isn't a crossover either, its a wagon with more ground clearance. A proper crossover combines things, and both cars really don't. For the XC60 to be a crossover it should have more space in the interior and back, and be a little lower to get better driving abilities and MPG.

      MPC007_EXP the XC60 is a crossover, SUVs are on truck-like suspensions.

      It's all about the frame. XC60 for sure is not SUV. It's to small and it don't have ridit frame.

    • @brucec43
      @brucec43 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the XC60 has considerably more interior volume, rear leg room, and cargo space. It's also not very tall, despite having excellent ground clearance. The R design drives better than any moderately priced midsized sedan except the Mazda6 and now the brand new versions of the Accord and Camry.

    There are so many sexier, more reliable and as safe cars as Volvos out there and owning a Scandinavian car gives you no emotional satisfaction after all. Choosing Sweden over Germany, Japan or the US makes no sense at all these days.

      T B It's owned by Chinese investors.

    • @ytdewalle
      @ytdewalle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      TB is right, it was owned by Ford for a few years. Ford tried to "normalize it" and made it boring and almost ran Volvo into the ground. The Chinese gave Volvo the freedom to go back to its roots and we've seen much more appealing cars and more success in the market since then.
