    Since skincare and skin clinics is so huge in Korea I found this to be super interesting. I wasnever into skincare until I started to study Korean and kbeauty started to become a part to help relax and de-stress and it has become very interesting to learn more about skin as a topic in general because of it just from diving into what different products does. Stem cells and cytokines.. wow. I can see why clinic treatments help a lot because that together with the microblading is a huge boost to the elasticity. Having nice skin over there is like having nice white teeth in the US, it just really leaves a good impression so I get it honestly.

    It's okay to protect skin from the sun 50+, a good serum, moisturiser, some sheet mask here and there, retinol... Cool but we muat never forget that we must accept ourselves and the fact we're getting older and older everyday and plastic surgeries or fillers won't stop that. Don't obsess over that or "that" will eat you alive. Be confident. If something can be fixed, fix it. If it gives you issues in your daily life (breathing issues etc) or if it makes you feel really bad and getting a surgery will make you feel less inferior do that, but never obsess over every fine line or expressive wrinkle you'll see because one day all of those will show anyway. There are much fulfilling things in life that a woman must achieve: read, travel, discover new music, meet people who will enrich you... Just live. Life is beautiful if you see it as it is: life AND it's too short to get anxiousness over your skin. 💜 To my fellow millenials and below: you're still young, enjoy yourself naturally and freely.

We will get old and die one day, this is the only ultimate truth, we cannot run away from it even if we want to. I'm all for non-invasive treatment for cosmetic procedures, but when it comes to "thread lifting" where the patient has to undergo facial stitching, that's where I'd draw the line. How long would results like that last, and wouldn't the elasticity eventually return to normal with age? Doesn't seem worth it, imo.
    Something that's highly underemphasized with skincare is the importance of diet and water intake. A lot of what contributes to the health of your skin is directly correlated to what you eat and whether you're well hydrated. No amount of external intervention can compensate for how your skin looks on the surface if such underlying issues aren't mitigated.

    • @atamo4323
      @atamo4323 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think stitching can last 10 yrs if u don’t grimace excessively

    • @Megan9689
      @Megan9689 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As for the thread lift, those don't last very long is my understanding, it's like a light version of plastic surgery. It will need to be redone again and again. I think for this reason a lot of plastic surgeons don't even bother with them anymore since the results are so temporary. He even mentioned to the lady before she left, she could see sagging again and need touch ups.

    • @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118
      @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thread lifts are a temporary solution, eventually if she wants to look younger in the future she will have to consider more effective procedures. With aesthetic procedures it's often a choice between less invasive procedures but more temporary results and more invasive but also more effective procedures. Drs usually don't want to do face lifts on people unless the sagging is really severe. Thread lifts themselves don't affect the elasticity of the skin (some might stimulate collagen production, but very locally), they just lift the skin so there's less sagging. If you get them removed, or when they dissolve, the face will go back to what it was before the lift, or if a lot of time has passed you will end up with more sagging because you aged.
      Thread lift procedures in the US had come under fire a while ago because drs were misinforming their patients by exaggerating how long the results would last.

    • @Myria83
      @Myria83 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I listened to entire congresses on invasive cosmetic procedures, and... they are a no-no for me.

    • @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118
      @itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Myria83 the whole topic of plastic surgery and popular procedures and treatments is interesting to me. For example the trends in plastic surgery (bbl, buccal fat removal), but also the topic of how some procedures that have been around for a long time may not be as safe as previously thought. Like temporary fillers staying in the body for longer than expected, and migrating to other places. Not plastic surgery related but I also enjoyed watching the news around Ozempic.

    i just turned 34, i had acne scar and huge zits from 12 to 24yr old. i can tell you, it sucks and i also have very large pores and oily skin. the ONLY thing that has help is the PRP with laser and microneedling and under skin needling (it hurts like hell , 40 minutes of intense pain). you have to do this at least 6 times , once a month then after you can do every 2 months. its expensive but works so well. makes all my pores and uneven skin texture (not tone, i dont have uneven skin tone) go away and the PRP yellow blood cells they give you , you apply for 1-2 weeks and it really makes your skin look like glass and tight! hopefull they advance this bc it is SOOO PAINFUL (numbing cremes dont work on me, tried it 20x and even left it on for 90 minutes)

    First, interesting side note: Obviously, this practice has no Korean patients? Why?
    Secondly, this doctor and his team seem rather genuine and he simply offers all the momentary up to date possibilities there are - so far so good. Having said that I personally think most of the things shown here are not really helpful, they are more like psychological treatments for the patients coming in. That lady who got the thread-lift (the procedure looked horrendous to me by the way)?She said she wants to ' see her old self again' - what does that even mean? She is probably end 40 and now what, she wants to see her 25 year-old self again? Won't happen, not with this procedure, not with noting, we all age, every second...
    And that's my next point, the doctor said in the end stem cell procedures will be the 'stop point' in the way of 'preventing' aging. Again, there is no way to prevent aging, there is genetics that play a huge role in how fast you will look how old, there is (most important after genetics) your personal lifestyle (do you smoke, drink, have a healthy diet or not, your weight, exercise, sleep, drink enough water, have all nutrients etc)... and after all that you can try and have some procedures that make you feel better and might in minimal dose make you look a bit fresher - but only as long as you don't overdo it wither with lift stretching your skin, or with stuff like fillers. - and look into the tabloids, all the celebrities who are above 50? actually look above 50, above 60? They defo look above 60, maybe a bit better groomed and with a bit tighter skin, but they DO look their age no matter what they do. And if they overdo it with the procedures they often look even older than they actually are, and at some point often just bizarre.
    It's hard for humans to accept, but there is no way to cheat aging and in the end death, - and that is actually what people are unconsciously trying to achieve - but in vain - to preserve a youth they don't have anymore and will never get back because that phase is over when it is over, and with every second we all walk towards the opposite of youth. You can't cheat aging, and you can't cheat death in the end.
    Yes, as a mid-forty woman blessed with good genetics and a decades long healthy lifestyle also I have days when I think aww, aging is an ahoe, I hate it, I want to look and feel like I looked and felt 10 or 15 years ago, but alas, also I won't. I take good care of my skin, and try to live a healthy lifestyle but that's it, I still age, I see it, I feel it and I decided to enjoy my time while I am healthy and fit, instead of fixating my mind on something I simply can't prevent anyways. Cheers!

Just like how some women have bigger or smaller boobs, some women age a bit earlier than others and that is completely fine!!! I want to understand where this obsession started. Is it most men's fault for wanting younger women? Which in my opinion is a bit sus. They seem to want to have women who look like children rather than mature looking women, it's disturbing to me. With the double-chin, you can actually fix that by taking a vitamin.
    I used to have it too but after taking a vitamin it was better.. And recently when I took too much vitamin D I had it again and got rid of it in a few days.

    3:16 “What kind of job do you do in Korea?” How is this question related to her skin care visit? It stood out to me because it doesn’t seem related to skin care, and others weren’t asked the same. This feels a bit off and could come across as racially motivated. It’s disappointing when such moments happen in South Korea, especially from educated people we expect to be open-minded.

      It is important, to know the type of places that the patient skins get exposed to. Not everything is racially motivated.
