I am on my second set of these. Bought my first set in November, 2016, as a substitute for Continentals I wanted. The Continentals were not available in stock, but the tire guy said he had a very good replacement at the same price. When I got to see the tire, I was very pleasantly surprised by the brand. I had heard of Hankook and knew a bit about them, but had no experience. Well, that set gave me 42,000 miles of great handling on wet or dry pavement and were very quiet. I rotated them at 5000 mile intervals and they were inflated to 35 psi. I also try to avoid hard cornering and any bad road conditions, such as potholes. I also kept an eye out for any odd wear patterns and just drove on them, no problem. . I can heartily recommend these Hankook tires.
These are on my Lexus is350 and I don’t think I’ll ever buy a different summer tire unless I need to. The quietness highlights the Lexus idea of “Relaxing” but when I floor it I can know it will hook right up and hurdle me down the road with ease
Just put a set of EVO2’s on my 135i. Wow!! The difference in these and my run flats are night and day. Noise level is phenomenal and grip is excellent. I’ve only had them on for 200 miles or so. I see these as being good tire going forward.
What kind of power are ya making? I bought these for my c6/headers/150 shot. Going g6x3 cam soon too... I figure I wont spray with these tires but still, I hope it holds up
I have cooper RS3-S on my Suzuki SX4 (in México it only came with the 2.0L 150HP engine) and i'm about to change my tires. I'm thinking to use these Hannkok from the video. Is it really a big difference?
@@brunoivanhernandezgongora2417 Que onda carnal talvez un poco tarde pero si, si hay diferencia, las RS-3 de Hankook tienen mucha mejor tracción que las Cooper, pero son más como DOT para la pista y las Cooper para la calle
Replaced my handcook ventus s1 evo2 with these. Having said that, I think they're a bit overkill for my car, as I don't think i'll often get the full use out of them and reach their limits(F56 Cooper S).
This video helped me buy a set of these for my 2003 M3, can't wait for them to come in the mail. I was thinking Nitto Invo's maybe but chose the V12's over them in the end.
Hal Jurgensen You wasted your money as a past 06 M3 and current F10 M5 driver these really suck but there cheep you get what you pay for in tires check the M3 blogs
I love how passionate people get about tires. I'm just replacing two on the front of a hybrid. Not racing, nope. I have a plugin mom car :) How the fuck did I get here.
I jave these tires on my BMW 7, 245/45/19 back 270/40/19.and i love them. They are comfortable, excelent grip in hot and rainy situations. And they wear amazing, considering my cars weight and performance. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I just bought a set of these for my Mazda6 today. I wanted to get Continentals, but the salesman said the Hankook was a better tire. I have heard of Hankook tires, but have never driven them. The nice thing was the shop matched the Continental price I had, saved me about $25 bucks a tire, and I got a 60,000 mile warranty. I got nearly 50k from the original Dunlop tires that came with the car, we'll see how these hold up.
After a month of these on my Mazda, I can truthfully say they they are great. They are quieter than the Dunlops that came with the car and I feel they handle better. I also feel I get a better ride from them. So, I am very happy with my purchase and really believe Mazda should consider changing their OEM tire to this Hankook.
I just bought a set of these V12 Evo2 for my Mazda3 as well. My stock Dunlop Sport Maxx TT have been running for 3years plus, clocking over 76k KM mileage but they cost like double the price of these Hankook. Interesting to see how it performs.
Hi! Du you think this tire is a big difference between 195 and 205 in 15" on a lightly modified Miata mk2 (1999)? Asking because 205 is almost double priced in my area.
2 hours north of you. I been running this on my 392 Challenger for the last 4 years. Yes they are horrible in snow, but how often do we get that? The last few snow storms that came through, I just stayed very light on the throttle and I was fine. I only drove the car to work and back home.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in the comments; I’m down in the Rio Grande Valley looking at getting these for my SN95 crowd killer daily, or…. Weekly. Bi-weekly? I don’t drive much atm 😅 I can handle some light throttle action during the little bit of cold months we get. Thanks for the info!
Hi Greg, I can't say as good, for simplification purpose lets say there are 5 Tiers, Tier 1 Being the best(where Michelin would fall into) and Tier 5 the bottom, I'd say Hankook falls into a Tier 3 area. I think the AS3+ should be more then capable for you. I hope that explains things better. Hankook's value cannot be denied of course.
Michelin designed specific tuned tires just for the Corvette I know for like the C7 and the C8 because yes it needs some beefy sidewalls :) Hankook would really be more in that value range
When talking about Ultra high performace summer tires and then you hear that you should not drive this kind of tire in the snow or freezing conditions.. Just screams "Damn my customers are dumb".. Maybe just do seperate video of how to choose right tires for correct driving conditions and be over it
These tires are alright. I have em on my FBO BK2 3.8 they dont hold at all in wet conditions. Supersport tires by Michelin outperforms them in every category. Except these are significantly cheaper lol
I’ve tried these and returned them due to poor high speed cornering to soft and spongy I drive an F10 M5 went with Michelin PS4, much better in every aspect including braking a 13 foot difference.
I have a 2020 Camaro SS 1LE I have the Michelin PS4s in the back 305/30-20s and I got these evil twos in the front 285 30 20. To be honest have the best of both worlds
THESE TIRES HAVE VERY SHORT THREAD LIFE (6MONTHS) 30K MILES 90 BUCKS A TIRE NOT WORTH THE MONEY I HAVE Achilles ATR Sport THEY LASTED A LOT LONGER (1YEAR 2MONTHS) 50k 60 BUCKS A TIRE BARGAIN

A lot of european cars like volkswagens mercedes and audi’s comes with hankook tires from factory!
Best review that I've found hands down on this tire specifically. Covered all areas. Appreciate the time and effort put into this video. I ordered 4!

I got this tires in my 2002 corvette and i loved excellent traction 👌

I love this series! Do more of these.
great review! going to purchase these for my '19 WRX.
Enjoy Paulo, if you need help getting them - we can help you get the tires, if you like. 714.582.3330 or sales@modbargains.com
thank you! i appreciate it. not sure where yiu guys are located, but im in Florida
What do you mean the tires is the only thing touching the asphalt? My subframe touches it all the time 😂
Thanks for the excellent review. Helped me make a decision.
I got this tire today for my 03 Corvette and so far love it.
Daniel Rice still love them after 6 months?
What kind of power are ya making? I bought these for my c6/headers/150 shot. Going g6x3 cam soon too... I figure I wont spray with these tires but still, I hope it holds up
Good vid! I had the RS-3s and can definitely attest to the fact that the Hankooks are a great bang for the buck.

If you live in California its a great tire

I actually bought these tires from that guy!
awesome informational video. thank you
Hi, which is the best for 245/45/18? S1 evo3 or v12 evo2?

I live in Dallas, Texas where we occasionally get freezing temps. Could I still go with these???

I'm always seeing complaints about how noisy they are. But I never notice them in my 08 Vette 🤔
Tire rack says these are max performance summers not ultrav
Are Hancock sporty a/s tires as good as Michelin Pilot a/s +3 . I do need a bit of snow traction a few times a year .

what is K12?
Have these on my 11 C6 and man they don’t handle at all lots of sidewall flex
Michelin designed specific tuned tires just for the Corvette I know for like the C7 and the C8 because yes it needs some beefy sidewalls :) Hankook would really be more in that value range
Just ordered them :P
Has anyone compared these to the Nitto Invos? The invo's have the coolest track pattern for me and im on edge about it compared to this.
can you guys do some pirellis next??
ok im buying these for my Final Edition
When talking about Ultra high performace summer tires and then you hear that you should not drive this kind of tire in the snow or freezing conditions.. Just screams "Damn my customers are dumb".. tires rack hankook ventus evo2
Awesome
I just bought a set for my Mercedes E350 4Matic
Choose a different background music track. Please!
Handcock tires and ass faults...hmmm
These tires are alright. I have em on my FBO BK2 3.8 they dont hold at all in wet conditions. Supersport tires by Michelin outperforms them in every category. Except these are significantly cheaper lol
How about in tread wear I had Micheline Super sport great tire but tread wear didn't last at all. Since they are rated 0-30,000 miles
I’ve tried these and returned them due to poor high speed cornering to soft and spongy I drive an F10 M5 went with Michelin PS4, much better in every aspect including braking a 13 foot difference.
KEVIN MANSFIELD Also triple the price...
I have a 2020 Camaro SS 1LE I have the Michelin PS4s in the back 305/30-20s and I got these evil twos in the front 285 30 20. To be honest have the best of both worlds
These perform best at higher air pressures. Don’t use at 33. Go up to 38-39 psi and the sidewalls hold up great.
Continenal extremecontact ws06 better
THESE TIRES HAVE VERY SHORT THREAD LIFE (6MONTHS) 30K MILES 90 BUCKS A TIRE
NOT WORTH THE MONEY
I HAVE
Achilles ATR Sport
THEY LASTED A LOT LONGER (1YEAR 2MONTHS) 50k 60 BUCKS A TIRE
BARGAIN
tread peeling on atr sport is no joke
370z nismo, will only last 11k miles. Not great
Its a Max performance not an Ultra high summer. And these tires are absolute garbage..like driving on a set of balloons.
These tires suck balls!!! No grip at all fun but not safe
