Exclusive 1st look at the brand new Ladder 167 delivered July 5, 2017. This new rig is just a day old in service. Engine 320 & Ladder 167 go in a full house run to a class 3 alarm.

Hmm odd. But then I did notice an LA City Fire Fighter with a Santa Monica FD jacket. I know his station bordered Santa Monica so not quite the same as Dublin and NYC lol. I should've asked him, we did chat.
If I see him again I'll ask him. There was another friend I have from the firehouse that had an LA fire dept shirt and had asked him if he'd worked there and he said no. So when I see him I'll ask him...

Forgive the out-of-towner question, but, what is a Class 3 Alarm in NYC? And how are the firefighters liking the KMEs? LACoFD (CA) ordered 20 new KMEs about a year ago for delivery this year.
Class 3 Alarm is a fire alarm that goes off in a building. In this case, someone was tampering with the words that made it go off...
Many of the guys do like the *Newer* KME engines. Like the one seen in this video, it provides more space such as legroom, helmet space and more. So I bet the ones you'll be receiving will be better. :)
Thank you for responding. I really like your TH-cam channel. Actually, I work in Indy. There are a few KMEs here and there including one department that purchased two KME engines under LACoFD specs. I worked in Communications for 27+ after working the field as an FF/EMT for six. I just like looking and comparing, and asking questions about function-ability of equipment under each individual circumstance.

I Agree. One thing that I would like them to have different on the ladder truck is the lightbar... The lightbar on the kme looks stunning! Wish they used the same lightbar tho...

@@AErney51 You are almost right there are also seagrave engines in the FDNY And they use the older seagrave as spares and the ladders /ariels Also are sometimes seagrave for spares and some are a seagrave
