Does all this affect water proofing in long run ? and to safe guard the terrance from water what precaution we should take , does this gazebo affect the slope level as workman ship are not up to the mark and how long the water proofing chemicals hold up .

@tks5210, you’ve raised a great point! Waterproofing is a critical aspect when planning a terrace garden, and if done incorrectly, it can lead to long-term issues. However, we take a proactive approach by integrating waterproofing at multiple levels
1) Mother Slab Protection: Instead of regular concrete, we use waterproofing concrete in the mother slab, ensuring durability from the base.
2) Multi-Layered Waterproofing: After the slab, we apply a chemical waterproofing coat followed by a 2-inch chemically mixed screed, which acts as a secondary barrier and safeguards the structure.
3) Optimised Drainage System: We incorporate multiple slope points across the terrace, ensuring efficient water runoff and preventing stagnation. This well-planned system helps waterproofing last well over 15 years without issues.
Regarding the Gazebo & Slope: The slope is maintained at 5 degrees, which is more than adequate for water drainage. The appearance in the video might make it seem otherwise due to the camera angle. Additionally, in this design, we’ve used two different materials for aesthetic appeal-one on top and one at the bottom.
