That's totally what I was thinking. Especially about the part where they're analyzing Jake saying, "There were times where he looked confused why he was feeling a certain way." Maybe that's because his father and brother didn't experience those same emotions, so he was wondering why HE was feeling a certain way when the people closest to him wasn't able to process those emotions but he could. Weird, huh?

The reason no one is here to do the same is because he doesn’t deserve to have his name cleared. He is known to be a manipulative person. And he had a lot of evidence against him of doing terrible things. Like inappropriate things with animals, being creepy towards kids, oh and the very racist content he used to upload. I believe people could change but Shane hasn’t proven himself to have changed at all. And the fact that you’re defending his name proves the fact that he manipulates people into believing he’s a good person.

I think Shane had some kind of scandal about being inappropriate towards children, so he more than likely ended his work for a little, or maybe even forever. He has made millions at this point. TH-cam is toxic. That's why Marzia left, Jenna left, and more than likely Pewdiepie will leave at some point. Shane is set for life, and I wish him the best.

Rewatching this series in 2023, Shane did a GREAT job humanizing Jake Paul. I’m not the biggest fan of him, but rewatching this series you can tell that even with money and fame, that doesn’t make invincible. It is kinda heartbreaking when he is trying to talk about the thing with his brother and Alyssa, like you can see the wheels turning in his head trying to just articulate his feelings about it.
The thing is, I don't think Jake has ever had someone to actually listen to him, and I don't think he's ever learned the language to articulate how he even feels. Because that's what his family has taught him.

Holy shit. I decided to binge this series last night since it's the only one I haven't watched. I didn't before because I had no idea who Jake Paul/Logan Paul was aside from "immature TH-camr's that kids watch." In my head, that's all he was. I'm so glad I decided to watch this though. Everything about this was amazing; the production, the editing, the crafting of this entire documentary.
I know Shane is dealing with a lot of controversial shit right now, but I miss these videos so much and hope he's holding up okay. I wish someone with a platform would care about him and his background as much as he's cared about everyone else's and gave them a chance. Shane deserves that as well, hate me for saying that or not - I don't care.
You can say what you want about Shane, but we've all seen the change in him these last years and it truly sucks that it's being taken away from him in this cancel culture of a world. I don't agree with a lot of his past stuff, but I think most people deserve a chance to show true change; and I feel that he was already showing that just by himself and the want to be a better person.
Just as the seasons change so do people, whether it’s for better or for worse. People need to focus on their own changes and not someone on the internet. We’ll never truly know these people so we should stop acting like we do.
I'm here TODAY watching this to remember the good in Shane. All this new drama is taking away from the true person he is. I wanna remember him this way. 6/24/20. 🖤

This whole series just really nailed home the fact that I wish celebrities could be more open about their mental health and not be ashamed or afraid of facing repercussions for being honest with themselves and with others, and not feel bad or hesitant about reaching out to a professional therapist and asking for help! If there's one thing I've learned in life it's that literally every single person could benefit from a little therapy, as long as they give it a shot and are open to the process! Everyone has their own problems and nobody is free from traumatic experiences in life, because trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and severity (it doesn't always have to be on the extreme side of spectrum)! I believe that good people can benefit from therapy just as much as people who are struggling!!
This whole series made me reevaluate my opinions of Jake Paul. I still think he's done a lot of horrible stuff that I don't agree with on any level, and I still find myself wishing he could be more accountable to his mistakes and shortcomings, but still..... nobody's perfect 🤷🏻♂️! I found myself just really hoping that Jake Paul can reach a point in his life where he can value himself even more and allow himself the opportunity to work through, analyze and process the traumas and hardships he's experienced throughout his life! I 100% think that he's not a sociopath , and I 100% think he deserves to let himself heal and grow as a person! I think if Jake allows himself to process all of this with a therapist.... he'd start feeling more confident and better as a person! I hope Jake can reach a point in his life where he's finally willing and able to place and hold boundaries for himself and with others (especially within his own family 🤞🏻), as well as focus on nurturing the relationships that he cherishes the most!
Again.... I want to say that I probably won't ever be a fan of Jake Paul 😕, but I do feel like Shane's docu-series has allowed me to understand Jake more as a person, to the point that I no longer believe he is a sociopath or anything like that. Has he done bad and unforgivable stuff? Sure 😂!! Has he done stuff that he wishes he hadn't and could take back or have handled differently? Definitely!! Humans are in no ways perfect, and we all make mistakes and do things we're not proud of 🤷🏻♂️..... but I think what's most important is that people own up to their own mistakes and shortcomings, and that they make a conscious effort in life to learn from their mistakes and try to do better the next time around 😁👍🏻!!!

Shane! You are not a therapist! You did use motivational interviewing techniques to take him to the vulnerable place... but then left him there!!! You even said your brain could not handle it.... of course not you are not a psychotherapist! Trained people can do the same assessment (he is left at a certain age and continues on, etc, etc) and share empathy... BUT, professionals do not then break down and not complete the therapy! You may have additionally scared him from sharing and fully processing any of his trauma or the trauma he has caused others! I know this is an old video but PLEASE do not do this! As a trauma survivor you should relate to the complex issues!
He wasn't trying to be a therapist, he was giving Jake a platform to tell his truth and share his real life. He can try to comfort and help someone but it may not exactly work, doesn't mean he should stop trying. (With all this drama I don't exactly support Shane but I will rewatch his old videos)

I’m so proud of Jake for talking about all of this and opening up about all these different and difficult situations and I know that it’s hard to talk about these tough situations because I have some crazy fucked up shit that’s happened to me over the last few years but I’m not trying to say that my problems are more crazy than his because it’s not I honestly have no freaking idea what he’s going through and I wish I could understand him better but I just don’t and that’s totally okay because we all go through different shit and no matter how difficult or different everyone’s situation might be it’ll always be okay in the long run. I honestly believe that if he hadn’t been surrounded by such toxic people during his childhood he’d be a genuinely nice person. To me it feels like a classic case of someone being a product of their environment, which is sad.

Agree and disagree. You can break that circle but it will take therapy and time and I think hes figuring that one out. We don't know a whole lot about his childhood, just the snippets and its easy to say, what terrible parents, because we weren't there. But I will say, I don't pity him because he made a lot of bad choices and we as adults know, we pay for those choices. However, I will say, everyone is a human being and I do feel he deserved the right to have someone show something more then was seen in just youtube and twitter to snapchat. Just like Violet, and Banks deserved it. Everyone has a side, it was good we got to hear it from someone that had and held compassion but wasn't to soft as maybe some thought he might be :)

I’ve met Jake and I can safely say he has a genuine heart and he cares about people. He has been psychologically traumatised and brutalised by his father and brother. Logan on the other hand, does not have any real emotions other than for himself.
I think Jake should move in with Erika in a different house/mansion. I think the team 10 mansion should be like Jake's work space. Whatever house they choose to live in the other should just be for film only. The other team 10 members can still live in the team 10 house. Its just a suggestion to help Jake feel he has a bit of space away from his channel

I completely agree with you. I think moving out and using the Team 10 hour could solve so many issues. Treat it like a business. You can still treat it like friendships and family relationships without having to live in the same space. He could make it so they are being help accountable for the amount of hours they put in at the work place and such. I also think Jake should have a PR/publicist person to help his public image.

Even rewatching the entire series now I still feel bad for jake, no human should have to be screwed over again and again like that. Jake put his trust into his friends and in his mind when they left team 10, they betrayed him. Instead of kicking them out right away tho he should have let them explain and then tried to fix it. For example, nick left because he was being treated like crap by Greg. Jake should have tried to fix the situation, but instead his mind automatically went to, “ he must have never even been my friend”. And I think that’s sad, because his mind shouldn’t have to automatically go to that. It’s even sadder that he went more downhill, his channel basically turned r rated and I can tell he’s broken, I still don’t think he ever confronted his real emotions.
