Dr. Grande nailed the hoax theory-- Sherri was arrested March 3 2022 for falsified statements, etc.
She hooked up with an ex for 3 weeks. Received over $30k in compensation and told police that she was not sexually assaulted so there would be no need for any vaginal or anal swabs. She's openly racist which is why she blamed 2 Hispanic women for her bruises, bad haircut and 'MILF' branding.

Well, here we are in March 2022 & she was arrested today for lying to the FBI and pocketing about 100K between the victim compensation fund from California State and private donors. She was indeed hooking up with some guy in Orange County, CA. I hope they throw the book at her for wasting time and resources that could help someone actually in trouble. She faces up tp 25 years in jail. Spot on, Dr Grande, as per usual!

I would also love a video on how to find a good psychologist! As in, when you have your first few sessions, how to know whether to stay or go. It's hard to find a good one, and I'm sick of wasting my money. Last psychologist told me my brother was "an awful person", and while he abused me, so I feel that way of course, I feel it's weird for a psychologist to say that considering he was literally a child, albeit older than me. Just think it doesn't help me at all lol. Would love to learn how to spot a good one.

As far as me being a guest that would make zero sense- I was suggesting that more as other experts in psychology, sociology, or people who have succeeded in therapy.
People walk out of ERs all the time, especially when their stories are challenged or scrutinized. Talk to any ER staff.
For sure. And people leave against medics advice all the time. For serious ones, I try to stop them. But what would she really need? IV fluids? She could have gone home and been fine.
@@sarao13579 - I'd say when you're the victim of a 3-week long hostage/kidnapping, are malnourished to the point of losing 28 pounds in 21 days, have a broken nose, had your bruised-up body branded, and cannot really recall everything that lead to your condition, further observation would be the order of the day. I can't imagine her vitals were just dandy when she arrived.
I do, though, find it interesting that there has been no record so far of anyone at the hospital trying to convince her to stay a little longer...

I have been following this case since it started. This was from my hometown and from the beginning, I've always thought something was strange about this case. Thank you for doing this analysis on it all. I really do not believe she was kidnapped.

The neighbours said that Papini had lived at the house for a long time, but no one had ever seen her go for a jog before. But perhaps it was her first time.
Diazepam (Valium), and other Benzos, can cause memory loss and strange behaviour, and paradoxical behaviour, including bad temper and violence.
She was "supposedly" training for a 5k

I have absolutely no clue what my neighbors do. all I know is that one neighbor has a dog because he barks a lot, and the other neighbor has cats because I've seen them. I don't really take what neighbors say seriously. My neighbor could be a jogger, but just because I have never seen him jog means he doesn't jog. idk. if people know that much about their neighbors then they must be so nosy and have no life but look outside the window to see what they are doing haha
@@a33m3a It must be different in my part of Australia. We would notice if a neighbour started jogging, or if they usually jogged and suddenly stopped. We don’t watch them, but people know the normal rhythms of the neighbourhood. Everybody on our street knows everybody else.
Kinda seems like the kidnapping story was just a way to free herself from the blame of cheating on her husband

Was any kind of drug testing done? The weight loss would support the kidnap story, but 22 days of getting high could also account for that.
I was wondering if perhaps the reason she left the hospital so fast was they wanted to test for drugs.

@@kiwimitts2 they connected the male DNA to his mother through her submission to a genealogy DNA analysis company. (Hilarious because they also KNEW ther son had Papini hidden....)
He stated he wasn't going to turn her in but if confronted about it he wouldn't lie.
They had to connect the dots and determine what charges would provide the most justice (mail fraud really going to screw her).
They've got usually one shot to het arrests right.
The descriptions of the kidnappers highly favor the same looks as her husband and herself.. that’s typical to describe the faces u see everyday when your lying.... I never believed her not for a second... so glad the truth is finally coming out!

Young/ old
Thin eyebrows/ thick eyebrows
Curly/ straight
Short hair/ long hair
Earring/ no earrings
Nice( let her go)/ mean( abuser).
Two kidnappers don't have a quality or even a physical feature in common.

I greatly appreciate you referring to polygraph tests as nonsense. That is exactly what they are, and I truly wish their use could be outlawed. Any person on the APD spectrum can pass one with flying colors even if they are guilty of the alleged crime, whereas anyone who suffers from anxiety or is of a hypersensitive nature can easily fail polygraph even if innocent. I would imagine that many innocent people would feel freaked out (I know, not a clinical term, lol) just by virtue of being questioned by police. Many absolutely upstanding citizens have an inherent (and well earned) fear of the police and can feel extremely anxious just walking into a precinct. The fact that police keep using polygraphs is a bullying tactic which, in my opinion, only delays the process of getting to the truth.
never agree to take one, ever. never even talk to police, ever. even if you are innocent. invoke the 5th and the 6th immediately.

Indeed. I come across like someone who's guilty just when I know that people believe I'm guilty, although I'm not. Just that sense of pressure. I'd probably fail the polygraph test if they'd ask me whether I kidnapped the Lindbergh baby. And thinking of polygraph testing being used is just insane. It's like in Early Modern times they used to think that torture helps to find the truth.
Polygraphs should be defined as "just rattling their cage to see what shakes loose" when used by police with a vested interest towards incrimination rather than verifying information. The idea isn't to qualify any facts, it's just to apply pressure to weakness, create inconsistencies and doubts.

I used to work with Sherri, but she was one of our regional supervisors, so I only met her a few times. I don't know her nearly well enough to say what might have happened, but she was always very nice to us. A bubbly, bright, confident lady. So no matter what happened, I am glad she's OK and I wish her and her family all the best.
I think the best for her family would be to get away from her.
I'm also glad she's safe and back with her family. Her case is so puzzling and so much doesn't add up but ultimately it's her life, her story, and she doesn't owe us an explanation. I want one... but she doesn't owe us internet nerds anything.

Absolute shame on her, not least for fabricating the 2 Latina kidnappers. This must have had a divisive effect on the community, with others looking out for "suspicious" Latinas. Also, she caused undue anxiety in the community with the idea of 2 kidnappers out on the loose. Totally selfish.

- If convicted of mail fraud, she faces a maximum statutory penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
You were right! From the very beginning, I’ve always felt this way, but tried my best to give her the benefit of the doubt. Now we’re seeing her for the little liar🤥 she is!

So let me me get this right, the kidnappers gave her a jacket that could be used to identify them ? And her phone wasn’t even broken,did she just raise her hands and say take me ? @@kkspurck6 Yes the police haven’t said anything beyond the one very vague press conference. I have friends in Redding and weirdly they didn’t even have much recollection of this case when I asked them about it (around a year ago). I figured it’d be some Redding legend with all kinds of theories, but apparently not so. 🤷🏼♀️

I always thought she joined that Nvxivm cult where women join to be sex slaves, and they rejected her for not being compliant, leaving her on the side of the road. It is the only explanation that fits everyone's actions. Evidence shows she willingly went (folded up earbuds on phone), husband wasn't involved, police certain these "kidnappers" aren't patrolling the streets snatching more women. The cult was already in the hands of the feds (and don't kidnap women off the street), so the local police would have nothing to do with it. The only problem is that the cult brands their woman on their pubic bone, not the shoulder....
I suppose a lover gone wrong could be an option, but after beating her for a month, starving her, branding her, and providing her his DNA, the situation sounds implausible. People capable of such violence usually don't hesitate to tie up loose ends. Not to mention the police should be worried this freak would harm another woman and they aren't worried at all. The Nvxivm cult on the other hand, collects compromising material on their members, so that they will never tell a soul the truth about what they went through (like Scientology).

Yes. I remember quite a few years back I read an article by a journalist that had spent a day or more interviewing Manson and doing a 'day in the life of' type of thing. Manson had pointed a gun at his head and generally terrorized the guy, and his article sounded like a battered spouse. He sounded star struck, like 'I got to have a gun put to my head by Manson!' and 'I can't believe he would treat me like that' simultaneously.

Agree, in that Amy from Gone Girl had a history of lying about being an abused woman and setting up elaborate scenarios to prove it (she did it with her ex boyfriend, her husband, then Desi). Papini seems to have had a similar history of lying

You know it's kinda sick to be talking about someone like this. There is literally no way you can be sure what happened, so try to consider that who you're talking about could very well be a victim, however unlikely that might seem to you. There have been other abductions where no one believes the victim and it turns out to be true, or they were hiding something but they were still abducted, sometimes abused. Just chill. Not everything needs to be said. If you're right then ok cool I guess? Congrats? If you're wrong you're being crude and cruel towards someone who really was a victim, and whose experience may very well be worsened by people like you, because what you say may affect how other people view the victim (sometimes people from the very town in which they live), and they or their family could come across it. I can't understand how an empathetic person would see that risk as worthwhile for a joke that isn't even funny.
As you said, it says a lot that the neighbors, her own family, and the police (not releasing the suspects photos) didn't really believe her story.

I’m speculating (but not diagnosing), she was abducted by alien lizard people.
So have the police not located the vehicle because after they got Sherri in the vehicle with the bag over her head, the vehicle went straight up with the wheels tucking under it? Was the basement she thought she was in really the belly of the ship? Were the alien lizard people gifted with shape shifting when in human form so they could change from female to male? It would explain everything. Enquiring minds-these such things are reported in the Enquirer-want to know.

What’s so sketch about it? Can’t people Just be happy that someone had a heart and actually let her go! They always brand you when they kidnap you for sex trafficking and that’s exactly what she was headed for except for somebody, I’m assuming one of the guys girlfriends felt bad for her and let her go. It’s really not rocket science. And it’s definitely not a hoax. It’s just a bunch of followers saying it’s a hoax because other people said it was a hoax. Please update your analysis on her and this case Dr. I would love to know more about the psychology behind her thinking and actions Wow she abandoned her children for 22 days to be with a boyfriend? Putting them through stress thinking their mom wasn’t coming back!. It’s amazing the extent she went. Was it for attention? She is certifiable. Was she’s just trying to cover her tracks? What does this say about her as a person. It’s amazing her husband believed her and took her back and they have been together since. He must’ve had an inkling that she was having an affair. And now it’s proven Because the boyfriend and his family spoke out and said she was with him.

Thank you for covering this case. I’ve found this case to be a most curious, unusual, and disturbing case. I’d like to add that, anything is possible. Those arguing that Sheri couldn’t possibly have willingly left, harmed herself, lost that amount of weight, etc- Clearly, they’ve not heard of the case of Canadian nurse, Cindy James. Her case and death were covered on a rather popular Unsolved Mysteries segment, 30+ years ago. There were also books written about her case. Speaking of Cindy James, though it’s an older case from the 1980s, I would be delighted to hear your take on it. Her story and death have perplexed and disturbed me since I was a child watching Unsolved Mysteries with my Grandfather. Maybe you’ll look into it and consider covering it for a future video? It just gives them time to ask more questions, while making you nervous.
They give law enforcement a sense of direction especially if they have no other evidence / leads. But lie detector tests aren’t admissible in court.
I’m confused about this subject as well. On a lot of murder investigations they seem to set a high importance on them, but then they are often referred to as useless as well. Which is it???
@@suej3959 So Chris Watts failed the lie-detector and was lured to think that they were on to him!!! He could have denied, denied, denied and never have been proven guilty!!! Theywould NEVER have found the children, Shannan maybe yes but then he could have denied again. Why do people so quicklygive up, they are going in for LIFE so I would never admit to my crime, not before hell freezes.

Lesson: if you are a sociopath who looks like Mani Pedi Barbie you can nearly get away with anything.
Plus: When my husband was a truck driver, the drivers had to take a class in sex trafficking, if they were stopped at a truck stop, and they saw women that looked downtrodden, they were told to quietly ask the woman if she was ok. If they said no, or gave them a look of distress, the drivers had a special number to call to report it. Police would show up and take over the situation. These women they are being used for sex trafficking are so beaten down and SCARED, they do what their captors tell them. They have no money, no family, no phone, no self-worth, they just go along with the program. We are all comfy and cozy, and we do not realize the things that are going on in the dark side of mankind.

A woman from Florida met a man and set up a fake kidnapping with him to get ransom money but she then blamed the lover and said he actually kidnapped her! He knew she was shady and taped their conversations and trysts In the hotel room! They truly thought he kidnapped her! If he didn’t have the tapes he would have been fucked! Anyway the woman Hardly even got into trouble in the end ( she was wealthy for figure) but it’s a crazy case!
She was just charged and arrested on 3/4/2022 for faking 2016 kidnapping

When I used to attempt to have discussions with people who believed in a particular conspiracy theory-I gave up making finally accepting it didn’t matter how logical and simple my points were HE/SHE wanted to believe in that particular conspiracy and I was wasting my time so stopped engaging no matter how tempted I was-anyway, when I naively still had hope at helping these misguided persons, I always introduced Occam’s Razor. It’s off topic to go into those discussions here but mainly at that time it was the conspiracies surrounding the 9/11 tragedy and the Twin Towers collapsing practically straight down when a commercial airliner was purposely crashed into each tower.
Their theories surrounding this were so ridiculously complicated, truly impossible, plus the various reasons believed as to why this was done and how many people that would have had to have been involved to bring down the towers in their ‘conspiracy’ but unbelievably not one of the hundreds that would have been needed to be involved to accomplish their ‘theory’ has leaked so much as a word about the conspiracy, immediately had me introducing Occam’s Razor...SMH...to no avail. Again this is perfect for this story, as the simplest explanation is usually the right one. A good example, President Trump lost the election to President Biden because more American citizens voted for Joe Biden. Thanks for your comment.

This was the entire basis for the Texas lawsuit the Supreme Court chose not to hear, not based on merit, but based on standing/jurisdiction.

Pennsylvania judicial branch implemented voting procedures. 14th amendment of constitution states only the legislature can. SCOTUS exists to resolve issues like this and refused to do its appointed duty.

If the women asked her for directions and they got into a conversation I could see doing that and if they asked for physical help of some type I could see her setting her phone down. How does she say they abducted her?

I'm curious as to the kidnappers' agenda or "endgame." What was the point? Not money. Not theft of property. Not death involving life insurance. Not sexual assault. Why bother with the kidnapping? What did they get out of it? Torture appeared to be minimal if she was released from hospital within five hours. Hell you sit in an ER waiting room longer than that. That's the oddest thing to me.
