Hi Josh thanks for subscribing :), just doing my part for the community. As saying this gonna explain what's happening in the video. This is a save preprepared to demostrate the ctb ip setup, this setup requieres goto0 as you probably heard of it is a duping scenario that allows us to go back to the start of the game from the point we are, that's why you see the mullholland safe house purchased and not purchased at the same time. Also this glitch has the amazing property of teleporting you through interiors with the save marker, that's why I got teleported to different interiors through the entire demostration (and that depends on which interior you are and then you are going to be teleported to another one like they are in some way linked themselves). I also started Vigilante OM0 because you can start any submission duped in a goto0 save (except for Taxi Driver that crashes) allowing you having free OM0 at any time. I also got some satchels because of the glitch fucking up the weapons slot not allowing to change between slots properly (and that fixes it). This is the faster ctb ip setup that I could came up with at the time. This same setup I used it as a RTLS segment speedrun (just memeing around cuz theodorros theorized a possible any% with goto0 setup that made RTLS faster than the previous time without fps caps). This route also includes Riot X3 too. There are so many Speedruns where stuff happens but the runners are only able to explain whats happening in lingo that someone who doesnt run the game cant understand.
It amazes me how far speedrunning has come with this game in such a short time. I remember back when Reset was the best on the leaderboards and he was unstoppable. Now, the times are so much faster than he probably wouldn't even be in the top 100 runners

Josh, what if you get a police car instead of a taxi? You will know when you got into it, you have 0-star glitch activated anyway, and if you activate sirens, the traffics should make way for you.

So I just finished watching the video and I have a hypothesis. If you practice the San Fiero skip, say you can get it down to like 10 or 8 minutes, and couldn’t you also answer the call to make it go faster? Edit: watch just about all of the YT vids, keep up the great work
2:45:07 @joshimuz are you tired or am i dumb? You counted time from after tbone dupe on your pb. Taking that into account, the new strat is 1min faster than pb, not 1min slower as you concluded
This strat cancels everything AFTER tbone, so how long it takes to do the mission doesn't matter. You need to do it either way. It's "preparation time for tbone dupe" vs "time spend doing stuff between after tbone and before monster".
The scripts are totally different, and for stuff like this you need the exact right conditions for everything. If I did these things with driving school the game just crashes instead. Mixing missions 99% of the time is a crash and 1% is something else.
It's faster, there's a game mechanic called "Super Sprinting" which is taught to you in the mission "Running Dog" in Los Santos where you have to chase a guy on foot. Tapping the sprint button makes you run *much* faster than just holding it
okay Josh after seeing this video i have a small question: why not just dupe the first mission a whatever amount of times that is neccessary to skip directly to the end of the game?
Lots of reason :P Main three are: 1: can't dupe first mission. 2: duping only skips missions that are in that chain, so if you dupe a "Los Santos Sweet" mission, you'll only skip more LS Sweet missions (this is a bit more complicated in reality but close enough). Duping T-Bone 7 times skips SF because they count as "Garage" missions, and the last mission of SF is a "Garage" mission. 3: it's not trivial to do mass copies of a mission. Monster 8X takes a lot of effort and the game likes to crash a lot after. T-Bone one is still in testing now.

skipping SF is great for marathons, 6 mins of ads/donations. Decent for twitch ads too. Running takes forever though, keeping the car might be a comparable time save to fast duping.

Probably, so the game would crash if he left the casino, but once he starts the mission the school script is gone and it is fine.
