I just got my first super clean single spin today thanks to you. I had been keeping my hand pinned to my side and rushing to grab the rifle and then I realized that you kept your hand up ready to catch it.
Thank you for such a very informative tutorial on how to spin the Drill Rifle. I have shared this video with our Drill Team. Your instructions are spot on!
so this comment is from forever ago, but how did it hold up? i’m looking for a sturdy rifle to practice with and i’d like to know if the glendale is the one
Watched this video about a year back when all I had was a broom stick to spin. Now I have my own rifle and I can hit awesome moves thanks to your videos throughout this year. Thanks man
@@Goodstitching it helped me get a better understanding of the techniques honestly. I’d tape one end of the stick and make the taped end the “butt stock” so I didn’t lose directional orientation. Not exactly the best for weight but it will for sure help you get a better understanding of the movements Haven’t spun in a competition in about 3 years but I can still do most of the moves I learned in high school 🤣 every now and then I find a broom stick laying around and test myself to see if I still got it lol
hey, just saying that I love your videos and as a relatively new driller, they really helped me out. also, I was wondering if you could do a instructional video on doubles, triples and quads?
My dad just bought an old 1903 springfield with only a barrel, right hand bolt, beat up left hand stock, rusty butt plate and a butt plate screw. It is all held together with packing tape. The price of buying the metal parts needed is the same price as an M1 grand for Glendale.
I didn't even know until this summer when I went to the Nationals Drill Camp that you caught a single spin that way--my school catches it with the right hand up at the balance point and the left hand catches below the trigger-guard. I've done a lot of practicing and learning on my own though and I'm competing in more competitions than my school normally goes to, so I'm hoping the experience and my training will get me to a good place.
0:15 So, when doing a single spin I want you to think about three things: Your elbow, your arm, your wrist. These things will be chewed up by the rifle as you drill more.
Hey I'm a freshman in highschool in JROTC I wanna be a drill master in armed ex I'm determined and I'm I'll do anything to be better so if possible could you tell me what I'm doing wrong
I'm hoping this can help me XD although it took me a bit to understand what spin you were talking about at the beginning due to the fact that in the unit I am in, we call them Port Spins. I'm expected to do one for our drill competition.
Hey dude I'm a big fan this is where.I literally get all my moves but do u have any routines or a type of style of makeing beats, with the rifle.again your an amazing teacher. And I hope u keep makeing moves.
The tutorial was great I watched a different one this morning and tried doing the move and hit myself in the face with the rifle. Do you have any tips so I don’t hit myself again
Where can you buy a practice rifle that weight the same as the real ones? I found ones that weight around 8lb, the ones we used in high school weighted around 13lb.
I am trying to learn this on my own, since I will be joining ROTC next year. My problem is when I am catching the rifle, I am catching the lower stick of the rifle, and I can`t stop doing that. Any tips? I got my first spin today thanks to you, and also some drop tosses.
I've pretty much got the single spin down now. Just got my first double today after failing and gashing my arm twice. Now I've almost got the two handed and the continuum too. Thanks so much.
I still quite don’t get it. I wanted the video and could not figure it out then my exhibition commander said to look up a video on how to and he said exactly this one so I looked it at again more closely and yet I couldn’t get it. What am I doing wrong
@@LWMS-band could be many things. A lot of times it’s release timing. Make sure the release is not too early or the rifle will go sideways. Also, subtly, move your left hand farther across your body to center. Ultimately, just keep trying. Took me 2 weeks to get my first spin.
Welllllll one day later I got it…. Took a few tries but I got it for the most part then I was working with getting it cleaned up and good I dropped it and it broke 😭😭😭 trying to fix it with gorila tape for now then wood glue later when I buy some hopefully I can fix it because I can’t afford another one thank you for your help tho I was quite excited when I did it even if it was dirty… hopefully I can fix it I have one from the Glendale 1903 replica hopefully I can fix this one and keep learning because I really wanted this to be a hobby for me so I’ll see how it goes. Bought it like 3 weeks ago so hopefully I can. Thanks for the help though in the end it worked out. Just maybe should tape it more on the vent how it was recommended by one of my friends
I am starting to learn expedition drill, right now I am just using a old piece of wood that I cut into the shape of a rifle. What rifle would you recommend when I can afford one?
This video helped me more than my drill team could

I couldn't relate, My school is a D1 at drill

I’m trying to excel in my small team and this is really helping. Although my rifle is falling apart from dropping it. Good thing it’s not a real 1903
Im in the CAP and we have a ceremony in a camp it really helped me since im the one having to use the rifle thx

This will be great for a fresh never trained team. Glad to find it
My ROTC is a new program this video helped me a lot and I was able to teach a lot of people
Just joined Armed Ex, this was really helpful as this was the only trick I was having issues with!

I’m right handed, so this is gonna be tricky!
I am too. You'll get used to it.
Same, I always feel like I'm gonna drop it too.
The Anime Fanbase I’ve actually gotten so much better and coordinated with my left hand more so than my right now.
It becomes muscle memory, learning the spins are easy because you become “left handed” in a way.
Just trust yourself to catch it. I’m right handed too. It took me twenty minutes to learn

I was hoping to see how to do a single handed constant spin but this works. Thank you!
Hi I'm a C/A1C and I thought so too, but I didn't learn this yet either so it works.
Swear to God. I will SMASH the like buttom for this video. Awesome and super helpful video. Thank you.
Thank you for this video its helping me teach the freshman on my class to spin
That would be awesome and any audio quality would be great as long as I can still hear what you say.

Feel free to check out my trick library from back in the day. Some of my moves are kinda sloppy but im sure itll give some ideas.

Hey, think you can do a tutorial on a left handed fire knife and a two handed continuous oth?
Where can you buy a practice rifle that weight the same as the real ones? I found ones that weight around 8lb, the ones we used in high school weighted around 13lb.
I wanna know where did you buy the rifle
Why do you have an elastic armband on your forearm what’s it for?
Very good, just joined armed ex in my school :D
I got an M1 which is 9.5 pounds, is this physically possible for me?
Yes
I know this is asking a lot but uh, since you're making new tutorials could you make one for the oth continuous? Thanks
Do you have to be left handed to do this flip
Brilliant !
What rifle do you use where can I get it
Where can I get a drill rifle like that
What kind of rifle do you use
I am trying to learn this on my own, since I will be joining ROTC next year. My problem is when I am catching the rifle, I am catching the lower stick of the rifle, and I can`t stop doing that. Any tips?

I still quite don’t get it. I wanted the video and could not figure it out then my exhibition commander said to look up a video on how to and he said exactly this one so I looked it at again more closely and yet I couldn’t get it. What am I doing wrong

Deadlock - Different spins for different wins.
Independent Drill hah, we havnt one anything in about 5 years (even tho were one of the longest established units in the area)
Where did you get the rifle?
Glendale has good practice rifles
Isit the same way even if im right handed?
I am starting to learn expedition drill, right now I am just using a old piece of wood that I cut into the shape of a rifle. What rifle would you recommend when I can afford one?
KG7YTS 1903 Springfield
Glendale is holding a Christmas sale right now. I would recommend you buy one from them if you still don't have a rifle
Where can I buy a budget drill rifle?
Glendale.com
theres also the half spin which is the tru simplest spin haha
Deadlock harder to make it look clean though
Lol when I was in high school we used to call this the “one spin”
how to get those rifle for drill
Glendale.com will have them. Look for their 1903.
lol I only have the 9 pound M1 grand
i use the M1903A3 (replica) 30-ought 16 caliber daisy drill rifle
A Few Good Men brought me here.
Hey I need help! How can I catch the rifle when my palms hurt, please help and I need good advice for this thank you!
I'm always scared I'm gonna drop the rifle...
toss the rifle straight up, while looking at it, and catch it. That’s how my drill team captain taught me to not be scared.
I need to learn exhibition to do better in Drill
this is a single overhand
Something that you did wrong was you keep your arm on the rifle. PUT YOUR ARM DOWN YOUR NOT A CHICKEN.
All your videos make so much sense thank you so much!!!
