Just did it and it works perfect . I have an Huawei P40 . love the phone , but i hated how it didn't have google play store.. Maps, youtube ,voice ,google etc...,worked but not the same way as play store . couldn't get important Apps too. Thanks to this method i can have the best of both worlds . Cheers Man

No you won't unless I'm mistaken. My reason for saying so is because you're technically not running any Google services on the hauwei. You're running them on a entirely different device which is Google compliant which just so happen to be a virtual device on a different device instead of an actual, physical device. This virtual device merely makes use of hardware components such as storage etc. of the parent device which may just as well be that of any other device. The fact that the virtual device is not your hauwei and merely run as a separate device by means of making use of your hauwei (more particularly, but not only) it's hardware which is physical still remains true. In simple terms your hauwei has nothing to do with it and and carries no strings attached that could be a basis for any inference of wrong doing. What you are doing is using Google services on a Google compliant (virtual) device. Be it virtual or non virtual it's still a device other than the one which would be your hauwei. You can call it whatever you like. Perhaps even something of your own "creation". I'd go with Gugletroller FU-abomination spoofer + or just gH ( g followed by h in alphabet therefore "h" will follow aswell as literally run alongside one another, but not together as 1 whether "g" likes it or not which defines justice imho since Google "follows" everyone disregarding their privacy and consent and in this case it's the opposite. Don't give two shits about Google's wishes or compliance requirements and ultimatums no we just simply have both worlds our way and intstead choose to make use of it's data no permissions required, cared for or asked for and simultaneously choose the actual real device of our own choice disregarding the limitations of Google. The "g" not being in caps in the name "gH" tops it of implying that Google is not as big and powerful as it thinks. Sometimes their own ways result in a few being free of google spying and instead become the recipient

Hi there. This works as far as it goes, but the end result is a rooted VM. The reason I need Google on my P40pro is that my company uses Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Authenticator as part of the security policy. I have been able to download these from a non-Google app store but every time there is an update the whole thing stops working, so it would just be better if I could use Play Store. It's a total pain otherwise. Unfortunately the policy also means I am not allowed to use a rooted device. And I was so close too! Thank you for the effort - it's just not the right approach for me.

if my P40 Pro is new, what should I do first: 1. Copy data from old cellphone, then install GMS or 2. Install GMS first, then copy from the old cellphone?
Install gms direct to huawei? Or use this method of vmos? If direct you will have to downgrade to.131 first which will delete all data anyway for install to work I believe then restore data after upgrading to latest hmui revision.
@@kenzomyname this method you would be good to restore your backup and update to latest software. Then download this program and setup it wont delete anything as it runs a virtual machine with android 7 inside it just like any other app. This is currently how I am running my test huawei p40 pro now and it works great. Any app that need google services for I just boot the vmos virtual machine and do what I need to do.
Have you tested to install Viber and sync from the app data backup already on Google cloud (let's say from previous phone)? Or other apps that backup the account data to Google cloud?

I have used this method for few months and it works and never has an issue. Very smooth experience. Battery life is not affected too.
