Smooth Flying Over South Dakota in the Super Viking

- We took the Super Viking on a work trip to Indiana last fall, and the flying was beautiful! This video only takes us as far as Atlantic IA, but both hops were as smooth as silk with no issues whatsoever. I took my video guy with me for the flight and answered some of his questions about the way things work in the air.

This flight was right before I dropped off the plane for the new panel.

Awesome! I think you flew through my airspace (KC Center) on your trip down to Florida. I always remember a BL17 on frequency.
I’m sure I’ve flown through your air space several times. Most controllers don’t even know what it BL17 is and it can be pretty comical to listen to them call me out as traffic to other aircraft 😂.
Side note: AK and HA airport ICAO begin with a P vice K

I had to finish filming where you left off. There was too much unfinished business. I went “verted” and worked on my “butt blood”. On another note, I will be in Dallas the 20th through the 27th if there’s any interest in getting together.

How do you like the new Bose headset??
While the Bose Pro flight isn’t as quiet as the A20, I like how light they are and they do a fantastic job. I’m currently trying some halos out that or even lighter
What's the SV noise level compared to other single engine GA airplanes?
I haven’t noticed a significant difference between it and the other GA planes I’ve flown. With a good set of noise canceling headphones all is well.
How do you like the Bose Proflight 2’s?

When I flew home from Florida last time I had 50 knot head winds and my ground speed was in the 120s MPH. I like the pro flight 2 better than the A20 When I’m doing long flights because they are more comfortable and don’t cause headaches. They also don’t interfere with my sunglasses. I would like to try some of the headsets like Martin Pauly uses to see how that compares. The big difference Is that they are not noise canceling or Bluetooth. The noise reduction comes from the soft foam tips kind of like earplugs.
When is the ACCA’s this year and where is it? I thought you mentioned dates but can’t remember.

We used Quite Technology Halos for years and liked them, but switched to Bose A20’s
