What a race. Totally action packed. Most enjoyable (shame didn't get to see Colin cross the line).
Would be nice if the present WSBK was a bit more like this but I guess times change.

This was a great race and a great season of Superbike Racing. No one would have guessed that this was the turning point of the season at the time Championship wise.

Those 998s and RC 51s were cheating against the much smaller 750s on the track. Honda and Ducati had to retire both in the face of 1000cc bikes as soon as they fielded them.

If the capacity of the V-twin bikes was capped at exactly 900cc, then it could have been be a fair fight with the 750 fours..

It's only cheating if it's against the rules. And Ducati is still putting twins against the inline-4s.
