Absolutely disgusting but I'm not surprised that the 14 year old viewers ate this plot point up.

Yes but I understand how Elena must be feeling too. I get Damon just wants to keep Elena live and not want her to out herself in danger but if you look at it from Stefan and Elena’s perspective, Damon just took away her freedom of choice to sacrifice herself to save her friends and family. All of them have their reasons to be mad and do what they did, it’s just that they all have downsides.
It's amazing how Delena fans will justify this behavior and say he was trying to protect her but look past the fact that Stefan respect Ed her choice even if he didn't agree with it
@@leedaniso all Damon wants to do is do anything to keep Elena safe and he doesn't want her to sacrifice her life or put her life in danger. Is that so wrong, Jesus he just wants to keep her alive because he loves her. Stefan wouldn't protect Elena like Damon did cause he's willing to do whatever is it to protect her. Stefan would be too busy worrying about "collateral damage" whereas Damon will always protect Elena instead of worrying about the consequences. He even said he'd do anything to keep her alive and he'd let her hate him for it but at the end of the day I'll be the one to keep her alive. He literally said he doesn't care if she hates him for saving her and letting others die or anything other method that puts someone else in harm's way.
