As another non American the speech where Biden looked like he was about to declare the first galactic empire followed by the various increasingly unhinged mutterings from people who I hoped knew better sent chills through me. biden is an advocate for hate speech. He spews it everyday. He even hates those that he interviews with. Bullseye? I didn't mean a literal target on trump. Ive only been telling people to focus on trump. When you vilify someone and someone decides to take matters into their own hands, and you don't take responsibility for the things you said to what you think is, "fair game in a political race" you knowingly support the idea of someone else doing the assassinating.
Just watch America. Biden will come back in a couple months spewing his hatred once again for Trump. Even if it is tempered, its for the sake of winning the election. Not for the sake of backtracking anything he has said up till now.

considering the other political candidates that wanted to debate that fateful June day got rejected by CNN, the higher ups only have themselves to blame for this mess. while Trump isn't what many would immediately look at as a competent leader, the fact is he did pretty well those 4 years he was in office even when the whole media cycle was bashing and demeaning his every action. that on top of his immediate actions during the assassination attempt and....well.... man's got alot on his side now. The Republicans cant change candidates as that would be political suicide, and the Democrats....the democrats were flailing after the June debate and its only gotten worse since. Personally, Kamala aint gonna win the vote, no matter how many times people say she will. I recall many things she's said and heard, and I don't blame people for saying they don't see her as presidential material.
basically, the powers that be have shot themselves in the foot. every tactic to take orange man down has only made him stronger and (incredibly) more likable to the masses. A large number of Blacks and Hispanics have jumped ship to the republican side, and some news personel have had meltdowns about this. but again, the Dems have only themselves to blame. Theyve unintentionally given Trump everything he needs to win.
American politics is a comedy, and im eating it up.
Whatever the outcome this Fall, it will surely go into the history books (I just hope no more shootings happen). So who will win: Orange man, Kamala, or an unknown challenger. Tune in next time for Dragonball Politico.

As an American who definitely finds politics to be a frustrating, but also compelling spectator sport I have to say that the odds of Hollywood actually making substantive changes to their politics in the next 2-3 years is extremely low despite the increasingly obvious shift in the potential audience which is no longer willing to tolerate open political diatribes pretending to be entertainment.
The problem won't be the actors. in fact I suspect that many actors are becoming increasingly nervous about the situation as recent events have gotten more than a few entertainment elites cancelled not by Hollywood itself, but due to the fact that a repulsed audience will refuse to pay for anything they are involved in, which results in them unable to find work. In the past they felt they had to speak out because there are financial players in Hollywood who would blacklist anyone who came out against the hard-line leftist politics they were wedded to. And while those men and women are clearly starting to run out of money, they aren't broke yet, and they'll maintain considerable influence until we see major changes within the ivory halls and towers of the corporate offices.
So it will be mostly business as usual, but with a growing number of actors who try to "shut up and act" rather than make any kind of statement that might offend the larger audience. The 'modern audience' that Hollywood has been chasing for the last decade clearly doesn't exist and I think they've finally figured that out.

Hollywood actors - many of them, used to be veterans. Gene Roddenberry was an Army pilot and police officer. James Doohan lost a finger in WWII (they shot around it all those years). James Stewart rose to the rank of general in the Air Force. Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, etc. Jamie Farr (MASH) was actually a veteran of the Korean War. Leonard Nimoy also served in the US Army (and was stationed in Georgia!)
I don't say that to say "everyone has to be a veteran in Hollywood." John Wayne, for example, was not. What I mean is, there was more of a connection between Hollywood actors and producers and mainstream America before it became an asylum for Communists.

Well, we *aren't* a democracy. We're a democratic republic, but unfortunately around 1900 a number of changes to our system were implemented that ruined it. Our House of Representatives stopped growing with the population, and the senators stopped being appointed by the States. So now power has increasingly grown in a small number of offices while the power of the people's votes have slowly been diluted by intentional sabotage.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb arguing what's for dinner.....one of those wolves has the facade of a Hollywood celebrity. The other one is the politician dressed in sheep's clothing. THIS is quintessential America right now...
But, there are Hollywood celebs who aren't democrats and don't shove their politics down everyone's throat. The difference is, if they stand up to what's going on, they're usually shut down or shadow banned in the industry. Meanwhile, those like Jack are free to act obnoxious about their politics because they don't fear retribution by the gov elites. This goes to show who really are the totalitarian in america

Hollywood has no respect for the audience because of this. The longer it takes Hollywood to recognize that fact, more impossible its revival will become.
Audiences weren’t just driven away. They didn’t just leave; they relocated & they’re comfortable.
How can modern Hollywood survive when more & more consumers prefer its past on services like Tubi or the work of independent creators?
