    A nice comeback with a very catchy tune. Gonna have to record this on tape like in the good old old times. ;-) Many thanks for this great production.

    they keep breaking limits and bringing more imagination with each releases. Congrats for the show and I like those words of wisdom in italian, latin, greek, which are sparkled in their creations

    "the universe is infinite and so are the realms of andromeda" - good times and good almost-synthwave tune ^^

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Errr, you realize that "synthwave" is at best a really amateurish imitation of actual demo scene music, right? Right????

    • @JMDAmigaMusic
      @JMDAmigaMusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ Actually i thought was an amateurish reproduction of Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Italo disco, that did inspire demoscene

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JMDAmigaMusic Demo scene music is not amateurish at all. It's authentic cyber art. It's influenced by a lot. But synthwave and those other hipster genres are mostly silly pastiche that don't deserve mention. Listen to industrial. LOL

    • @JMDAmigaMusic
      @JMDAmigaMusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @ Let me correct: it DID start amateurish because was one of them (ok still am) making stuff with noisetracker and sound fx following with protracker octamed etc, but then lot of people were able to make a full profession off it - plus what is wrong with being 'amateur'? Amateurs do stuff because they love it so what they lack in technical skills and device is compensated by passion and creativity

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JMDAmigaMusic Yo JMD, I really admire the authenticity of demo scene music because of reasons, did it get influenced by Jarre? I hope so. Though I would guess the biggest influence was the C64 video game music, yes? Last Ninja 2 theme still gives me tears of joy :P Ok I'm obsessed with old school computer music like that, and you totally got a point as net culture genres being a little like demo scene music but I believe the artistic aspect of demo scene was more ambitious, you hear these crazy cool melodies even in cracktros, the totality was a really unique style although it borrowed from so many genres, you could hear tunes that are like a little jazz or funk, but also techno or trance or whatever, I do believe it ranks highly in authenticity (and competence), so I think I should say: well done and thank you!

      Yes, the lava lamp particles had me making noises the most :) some really good colour theory in there too, nothing looked mismatched or like the hue or shade was off.

    Awesome and unusual demo and these words come from an ATARI ST hardcore fan! Would love to see some AMIGA crews cross the borders and show us what they can do on another platform. Some did and brought fresh air. Besides some ATARI democrews already walked the reverse path decades ago. :p

    • @rtiainen
      @rtiainen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I couldn't agree more. I would love to see more cooperation across platforms, too.
      There have been some cross platform projects, such as Unique's Universal Pictures that was converted from Amiga th-cam.com/video/g7MEeLndCBU/w-d-xo.html to ST by Aggression th-cam.com/video/2uqrJWqVNys/w-d-xo.html but these have been too few and far between.

      @@rtiainen Indeed you have taught me something I had no clue of! Have to confess that I only got interested into demos back in 1994 so that my knowledge lacks some basis but hey I never knew this was converted from the AMIGA. Mental Hangover by Pixel Twins is another famous example though. th-cam.com/video/vEis7dOo9B0/w-d-xo.html

    • @rtiainen
      @rtiainen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you happen to know if there is any ST demos converted to Amiga?

    • @s_t_s4846
      @s_t_s4846 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rtiainen Better late than never. Well I guess that someone took over the STNICCC challenge on Amiga, didn't they? Afaik no ST demo was ever converted to Amiga. We all know that technically speaking Amiga was more powerful than the ST. There were some nice Amiga demos done by ATARI people though. Not sure we can say that Leonard/OXG is an ATARI guy as he surely achieved as many beauties on AMIGA as well.

    • @rtiainen

      I don't think Andromeda was ever active on C64.

  • @AnnatarTheMaia
    @AnnatarTheMaia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It looks very basic and way too abstract, far under Amiga 500 capabilities, even with OCS. Archmage has done far better than this. I'm guessing the Andromeda guys have their hands full with their families and maybe even burnout, it shows this demo lacks the time required for a major production like Andromeda used to do in her heyday.
