Wish more companies tried making nutritionally complete food that actually tastes good. Huel is probabilities the only one that has tried

The chicken and mushroom one is my favourite. The korma one is quite sweet, but if you like korma then you’ll probably like it. I put water on just to cover the food, then I cover the container for 10 minutes. 5 minutes isn’t enough. If it’s to thick I just add some more water.

Agreed, I also do 10 minutes for all of them, and I think it is an absolute must for the pastas.

I've been eating Huel hot and savory for a few months, usually only once a day for breakfast. It keeps me satisfied and energized until the afternoon, and I know it's healthier than the junk I used to eat for breakfast (cereal). So far, eating it daily isn't a bad idea so long as you don't completely replace your other meals with it, especially if you're not a vegan. Currently, my favorite is the sweet and sour.

I completely agree with you, I do want to try the other flavours however, eating the same ones can get mundane, which ones did you get? 😁

I got sweet and sour, tomato and herb, and mexican chili. I think my first one was thai green curry, and that was basically water-flavored. Maybe I put too much water into it.
I usually use the cup that came with the order and I don't fill the water up to the line anymore, for better consistency. It adds a lot of difference to the meal.

why "especially if you're not a vegan"?

Honestly now that i've moved out and been cooking for the last 6 months, I am fucking sick of it. Enjoy cooking but after working on a 12 hour job, last thing I want is to spend 30-45mins cooking and then also add in all the shopping time... naaa (although i work in spells).
Thinking of getting like 60 meals (2 per day) + 30 drinks for lunch. Then adding in some rabbit food fruit/nuts like apples/cashews and maybe broccoli once a week as it easy. Or maybe i just gotta come into reality, suck it up and just continue cooking/shopping 😭

I'm waiting on my first order to arrive. I plan on a shake for bfast and the savory for lunch and dinner. I hope it works for me.

I honestly feel youuu dude. The same huel bags in this video are still in my room believe it or not, it can get quite much if you were to eat this even every other day but if I'm pressed for time at least it's only five minutes to make haha.
Guess I need to start learning how to cook soon 😂

@@kay_irl I tried all the Huel hot and savoury meals except the Thai Green Curry which was out of stock on my first order.
So I finally got a bag today just to try, despite every reviewer hating it. I agree it's easily the worst, revolting infact.
I think Mexican Chilli and Madras are the tastiest, especially with some hot sauce and a little pinch of MSG.
Chick N Shroom is ok too The shakes and protein bars taste foul too, but probably not aimed at me anyway.

Love hearing the adjective “peckish”. Might give it a try. Under $4 US is cheaper than a can of quality soup and likely healthier. Do you have an aversion to spoons? Thanks for review.

I absolutely love the Thai green curry with a bit of added salt. Biggest mistake was the crabonara, coz I don't like meat and those meet replacement chunks suck. They smell too much like meat and taste and feel way worse than real meat. I don't know, why I even opted for that. Mexican chilli could be epic, but has a strong spice in there I absolutely hate, hoping with every spoon, I don't hit a large chunk of it. I will try the mac and cheeze and tomato & herb. I have high expectations for those two.

Thank you for the thorough review of Huel Hot & Savory! I recently resubscribed to Huel Black Edition Coffee Caramel for an easy, healthy, grab-and-go breakfast when the Hot & Savory caught my eye. After watching your video, I think I will give it (and the bars) a try. Also, wow. You are so pretty. :)

@@kay_irl Yes, I’ve been sampling the Cajun Pasta and Coconut Curry over the past two weeks. && I have the Tomato and Herb and Sweet and Sour for the next two.
So far I think the Huel Hot & Savory line is really convenient, affordable, and healthy. I found a Reddit post the other day, where members ranked the flavors from best to worst. The pasta flavors were by far the highest ranked. Planning to do all pasta flavors for my next order.

Thanks for this review. I was just diagnosed with celiac disease and my lunch is frequently instant pasta or noodles. I'm trying it to replace those since compared to other gluten free instant meals I can find, these seem reasonably priced per meal. I like that you did a variety and tried having them more than once and that you noted they were easy on your stomach.

Same but I also was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in the same year and I’m on weakly methotrexate injections. It seems to be causing major food aversions along with nausea and cringey mouth sensory. I’ve been looking for something easy that doesn’t require my brain to bang together. Im about to watch your update. Fingers crossed lol

hey! I still do but super rarely, like around 1-3 meals a week to be fairly honest because there comes a point where you do get tired of them. So for me to appreciate these meals more and to continuing finding them delicious, I take a little break from each packet and go back to each flavour once in a while. Let me know if you end up getting them and how you find it! Would love to hear what you think 🤗

@@kay_irl thanks for getting back to me, I've stated buying the ready to drink bottles and there pretty good but I don't find them very filling, was searching for videos and obviously stumbled on yours .. I'm going to order some power and maybe a savory one... Thanks for the reply and I will let you know ..I'm think I will probably end up doing the same as you buy just supplementing a few meals a week.... await my review albeit in written form on your video rather than doing my own

LOL, yes. To me, it is very good, tasting like some chilli con carne, but then, there is some pieces of really strong tasting green spice in there, that totally ruins it for me. Every spoon I am hoping, that I don't hit a chunk of that stuff. WHY, oh WHY they needed to put that in. It would be so good without it.
