    Your determination will help you succeed even if the road there will give you some stumbling blocks.
    Your color corrections really made of a difference already . I must have read and watched hundreds of hours worth of tutorials and find out that all that knowledge ahead only gets you so far .
    In the end diving in and learning how to correct ones mistakes will put it all in perspective . I also know that I have used different techniques and advice from any artists out there to finally come up with a way to paint that is truly me . You will see Jill that his will be the same for you some day .
    There is no set way to apply layers and special effects . That is the beauty of this art and the best part is that almost everything can be corrected . Your first Reborn is looking really well so far . The redness is not even obvious in the video . I saw more of a peachy hue .
    I noticed that you did both green and blue neutralizing washed . You can achieve the same by adding a bit of Phtalo green to your blue . Choose a lighter blue if you want to keep the skin tone light .
    You know the irony is that we were told to neutralize the kit but the warming layers can get you easily into a too orange or red skin tone . So balancing cool and warm layers is the key .
    You are doing so well . Glad to watch your progress .

      Thanks Anasha!!! You are so right. The warming layers is where I think I went too far in the first place thus kind of messing me up even more so now but if it wasn't for messing up now on the red I don't think I would have realized my first mistake was with overdoing the warming layers! 🤦‍♀️ Such a learning curve but I'm loving the lessons I'm learning.. I'm truly starting to understand it so much better now. It's pretty cool! Thanks for the encouragement and you're amazing input as always! xo 🥰

      I watched the Reborn With Me turtorials, they are very good and with her method, you wash the doll first, neutralize the kit if it is too orange or too pink and then she puts a flesh 08 coat on the doll and bakes it. That base coat protects the vinyl from any staining from the paints you use in your next layers.

    • @anasha1647
      @anasha1647 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@debbiemacleod9705 Yes Debbie this is great advice . I have always done the it exactly how you describe it for the first 2 layers . The vinyl soaks up the paint and stains it too intensely if not protected with the flesh layer after neutralizing the kit .

    I think your doing an awesome job! I give you a lot of credit delving into the art of reborning, I thought about it but it's a lot to get into, even though I have the time, I'm retired, I thought of the cost of supplies and the dedication, I just said nah. I do enjoy purchasing reborns though, I have a nursery, and all my babies are in Disney themed outfits. I love your super speed filming, wish I could move that fast in real life, Lol. The pad on your work table reminds me of the doggy pads we are using for the 2 puppies we recently adopted, Lol. Noticed your calendar is still on January, are you starting the year over? Haha. I look forward to each of your videos, they are great, you are so bubbly, I love it! The baby head talking at the end was so cute! Keep up your great work, I will keep tuning in.

      Hahaha ommmg I'm going to go change my calendar to February right now!! But I might need you to remind me to change it again in a few days 😜😂 I want to make a nursery but I haven't figured out the space for it yet! And yes those are doggy training pads haha!! They work better than paper towels to keep my table clean. Thank you so much for watching Pam!! Hope you have a beautiful day today! 💛🥰🌟

    This was very cool. My artist had mentioned that she was going to do a color correction with a green wash but it's cool seeing the process. This video is helpful even if subscribers don't plan on becoming artists. We can go beyond deciding whether to buy a baby because it's "cute" and look at the artistry and technique that the artist used to create certain effects (good and bad 😄). Take care ❤. Keep going.

    You are doing great 😊😊
    A lil tip when you bake after every layer you most likely cant neutralize, neutralize before you bake, such as when you painted her n she was looking orange, before baking, that is when you neutralize. Baking her seals the paint and wont work trying to neutralize her after. Very good tip from a renounded artist( not me)...it truly helps to have someone experienced to give you those kinds of tips, most artists dont give you tips and Im not sure why but its taken me about 2.5 years to figure that one out😱. Make sure and touch bases with your teacher, its so hard figuring it out on our own 😢
    You are doing soooo good🤗🤗

    • @MyHeartIsInVermont
      @MyHeartIsInVermont  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Michele!! Yeah I know the problem first arose when I did too many warming layers and made her yellow... so there's no going back there. Maybe neutralizing is the wrong term... but you guys catch my drift. Thanks for the tip!! Definitely plan to get her as neutral as possible before baking next time! 🥰🖌👍

    Hi 😁 If you don't own or don't want to by a color wheel, you can find pictures of it on internet 😁 and with time you'll now it by heart 😂
    By the way, I really enjoy your channel! I found it through a video from an other Swiss reborn artist 🇨🇭😁
    Have fun with your first baby 👏🏻 Can't wait to see the next videos 😊

    I took Shaylen Maxwell’s course too. I made the mistake of putting too many washes of a particular color. I just used Sarah Mellnan’s booklet on Skin tones. I wish Shaylen would make a book. Anyway I have some painting videos and reviews of Sarah’s book and Christina Worley’s course for painting hair.🤗🌷🤗🌷🤗🌷

      Ooooo I'll have to check out your channel! Thanks for stopping by mine fellow Maxwellian colleague! I find I am still having to learn by trial and error even though I am having someone tell me exactly what to do 😂 The hair was the hardest part. I'll definitely watch your videos!

      @@MyHeartIsInVermont the biggest mistake I made was thinking I needed more layers when I didn’t. I just needed to strictly follow what Shaylen does in the videos. It all comes together just follow the course.🤗🤗🌷🤗🌷

      @@Lindasromperroom haha yes! I have been feeling too that I also make my layers too thick... and I just need to tread really lightly and trust the process! So funny how even with a course it's still a learning curve. But so fun! I'm very appreciate for Shaylen's guidance!! 🥰🥰🥰

    Green will help with the red. I use a lime green. But if she is too red it won’t help. Red and blue are colors we need to be careful with.
