You seem a sound upbeat type of guy making your own groundbait always works well as the fish will let you know if you are doing it right tight lines mate all the best fae Scotland.
Great video I've been making my own groundball for years using similar ingredients, and a good tip you can make a paste out of any of them by just putting an egg in........
Hi Wayne, Interesting video and a nice delivery style. I look forward to future episodes. But what happened to the Vitalin you bought? I hope you did not eat it.
Thanks for the comment John, A Wayne's World Fishing tip! some commercial fisherys don't let you use ground bait at all, so the trick is to buy some quality soil from a garden center and add liquid baits to it and through that out it will colour the water and at smell to your swim. Catch ya later
Hi From Mildura Victoria Australia . What do you think of making a dough out of plain flour with curry powder mixed in . Yet to try it , only got told the other day about it at work . Phill Carter .
@@Chepstowion_Adventura fella add whatever you like, I would say experiment and see what works best for you. if you are stuck for ideas of ingredients just look at a packed of store brought groundbait and copy what they use. Fish don't mind really they will eat most things at the end of the day 👍👍
I use "large" cage feeders as some of the particles are too big for smaller feeders. Mesh and cage feeders work best and sprinkle some maggots in the mix to so the little buggers wriggle around in the feeders and push out all the bait for you.
I used the Vitalin as it was from the bag I like the fact that it has some nice large flakes hidden within it. I think that the fish like to really get their heads down and munch away at what it has to offer. But I did not only you the Vitalin on its own I also used the ground baith that I made with it just mixed it as and when. For example if I was going for carp I would use a lot of Vitalin but if I was going for silver fish and maybe bream I would not use the Vitalin and just stick to a sweet powder based ground bait. Also add hemp every fish likes hemp from the small ones the a lake monster and your right if you shop around you can buy it in bulk and save a whopping amount of money. Try adding chili flakes to it when its on the boil it will give it a hot spicy taste that carp really love.
yeh it works fine on the feeder but make sure you get the mix right as the biscuit basted stuff cant be used on its own its to sticky. What I tend to do is three parts bread, one part fish mill and one part biscuit base mix. With that combo I landed the double double's in my video at Manor farm. Good luck and as always Catch ya later
Bryan Molloy well I never froze any of the bait but as its dry you can store it for a very long time. However when you ground up the white bread it has to be used within a day or two otherwise it will become blue/green and moldy unless you dry the bread out first. You can do this by laying it out in the sun to dry but I found that when I come back to mine the birds had eaten most of it or if you want to dry it quicker just place the slices side by side in the oven for a couple of minuets on a low heat so it drys that way. Then blend the bread and if its dried correctly it will last a long time in a bucket.
+Oana Maria Terzea only in a spod not as a ground bait. it will work I have used loads of it with bran for laying a bed of bait for bream and had good results. It also got the tench on the feed as well.
There are different types of ground bait. Active and inactive. Active means that it breaks down fast with a lot of lose partials. This kind of bait is best used for still waters like lakes. Inactive ground bait holds itself a lot longer and is good for moving waters like rivers. The sugar in the biscuits is probably what is holding the the bait together for so long. Use less biscuits and more fish mill see how that goes 👍
subbed, think you off your head!! but great vid, gonna watch the rest with a few beers going fishing tmoz, then gonna knock some stuff up, over the w/end ,best regards al
paul leaman Hope it helped Paul. I know what you mean about eating most of the bait many I time I have sat at the waters edge and eaten a lunch meat sandwich ;-)
Hi wanye Just getting back in too fishing after a few year becoming a dad again. But now back out there wuth my oldest son who is 8. How long does them blended up bait last in the buckets. If stored right. Ike ya idea's will keep ya updated thanks.
It will keep forever mate as long as you make sure that it is all DRY! when you blend up your bread make sure you put it in the oven for a few minuets before blending so it goes all hard and dry NOT TO TOASTED! Once dry it should last for months if not years. The same will apply to everything that you put in the mix. Catch ya later
I totally agree with what you are saying and what you wanted to show from they video shops are a joke on prices. Remove the blender and replace with a Mill grinder could do the a full sack in a few minutes Also you could shop Online at tesco and asda and buy all your biscuits in bulk 200 packs Ohhh my days
Aaron Ditchfield good idea. As for the mill grinder that would work but I'm to lazy for that. I like the fact of pressing the button and letting the machine do the work.
45 seconds per 250grams of blended bait x4 = per kilo = 3min x30 = all remaining bait = time 90 minutes of none stop blending... thats if everythings all in front of you and the motor does not burn out. how much electric would that cost using 900w blender you are using =)
I did in a way by mixing a bit at a time as and when I needed it. I in fact still have some of this bait in my shed :) I might not use it just give it to the birds I am sure they will love it. Catch ya later
Thanks for the sub and Im loving the bike, I have a MK3 chopper and an old grifter. When I get some time I am going to respray the grifter and put a small motor on the chopper. I might even take them fishing with me when the weather is a bit better. Catch ya later
David that is such a good idea. If you watch my how to make your own pike spinners video you will see I have also sourced things from the pound shops they can be goldmine for all kinds of good bargain items.
Amazing!!! I use all these things, tackle box is full of them plus loads more. Try this, buy a humungous bag of milkshake straws and a bag of pea sticks that fit the straws ( 6mm roughly ) cut 1 inch lengths of pea sticks, cut the straw to suit your requirements and glue the pea stick bits in each end. hey presto stick floats. they are all I use now and you can put bits of lead in one end if you like to balance them. I use polyurethane wood glue from my workshop it's even sea water proof! I tie flies with them feathers too.
I have done something like that before with my dad. we used mc Donald's straws for carp fishing as they took a lot of weight to cock them so you could really cast them far. loving the tips you guys are suggesting.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. Wet nets and tight lines.
Great video, and he sounds like the nicest down the earth guy and it's nice to hear instead of someone up themselves! 👌
Brilliant videos, £8+ now for a bag of groundbait and the varieties are mind numbing! Defo gonna try and make my own now I’ve watched ya vids. Cheers

Great video mate. Very useful tips I will use for my next session. Thanks again.
I've not yet put additives to it but the pets at home layers mash is an excellent base for groundbait

if the fish are feeding heavily porridge is great to bulk up ground bait
and hemp from pet shops is £1kg

I didn't think of that. Really good idea mate.
@@waynesworldfishing well I’m going off your video and just wanted to make sure the fishing ground bait works

Now lets talk about the fuel cost of more then one shop =) and electric cost and cost of time whats left of the profit margins
Im not doing this as a business.
