Yeah these are in the Mattel store now but by the time I get off work they’re already out so I haven’t been able to get down to El Segundo to pick one up. Maybe this weekend

@@comix1017 Yeah I have a review up on my channel of the revalation Tri klops. Great figure I know he has been spotted in the California area but not sure if the distribution has picked up with him yet. The origins is all about the nastalgia. That's why I collect them. I have most of the classics line and they are as perfect as it can get between the vintage look, nastalgia and yet a better update to the original figures the revalation line is really cool to I think. They remind me of a mix of the classics, 200x lines but with the vintage filmation inspiration in mind. Hopefully you can also find the tri klops figure in retail soon.

This looks amazing! And what they put into this, just makes it all the more disappointing how they neglected to put simple ankle joints on Battle Cat. smh
Yes they did a great job with this stridor! Many people including my self was very dissapointed about the lack of ball joints in the cats. But remember in the beginning of the origins line it was designed for the purpose to make our generation who has kids feel that vintage nastalgia and get the new generation of kids into the line very simular to how we were in the 80s. So another words the line is meant for children! The origins had a modern update and added articulation but at the same time they cheaped out to save money such as the lack of added articulation in the cats ankle joints. Kids play patterns don't normaly care for that! But now mattel sees children aren't really getting into the line, but the collectors are buying it up. So newer figures are now getting more details added for the adult collectors. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments!
@@Themanchlid It's a great line overall. Price point, plus really capturing a true vintage look and feel, but with modern articulation. I love it. Still slightly bummed about Battle Cat's ankles though. Would have made a good figure absolutely great. IMO Thanks for the review! I'm definitely snagging a Strider as soon as I can!
@@LastBastian I hear you on that! There's always room for improvments in this stuff! I'm just happy the line exists and we got many cool things so far! I hope the origins line sticks around long enough to finish up many of the vintage things we didn't get yet with the origins treatment! Time will tell I guess!
Great review! I had Nightstalker as a kid, but not Stridor. Now I’m really looking forward to picking this one up. Thanks for taking the time for comparisons, to show him used with other figures, other lines.
No problem! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments! I had fun reviewing this one and compared what I had avaliable. I didn't have a vintage one to compare to as some people would have liked. But I think this stridor is a way better design from the vintage one. But yet you can see and feel the nastalgia all over again with this one in hand. Hopefully it will be hitting retailers in the next couple of weeks. Good luck picking one up and have a great holiday!✌😁
Really excited the Classics figures can sit in the Origins Stridor. That was definitely the deciding factor in whether I would get this. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching and sharing your comments! Yes I notice most of the origins vehicles or cats can fit the classic figures someone ok. Over all I think they did a great job with this version of stridor. Hopefully he will be hitting retailers soon!👍
Yeah! That whole figure has a feeling of pure nastalgia to me on hand! But yet with a new feel at the same time! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments👍
Thanks for watching and your positive comments! Yeah stridor has awesome articulation for the new redesign from the vintage one! I was happy with the articulation on the cats, but they should have had ball joints on the front and rear paws! Then they would have been much better I think!
I just picked one up and it's amazing. The pose ability and accessories are great. It also scales fairly well with the original which I like since I have a few.
Great pick up on this stridor! Yeah it's amazing what you can do with this one compared to the vintage. It scales well with the vitage and classics too. Thanks for watching and sharing your toy Hauls!👍
Yeah I had stridor and the vintage nightstalker too as a kid. I thought they were cool then. But this one is a much better improvment over the vintage, but with the same nastalgia. Hopefully they will be hitting retailers soon!👍
Thanks for watching and sharing your comments! Totally a great figure man! If you like origins and the mechanical horses! Then this figure was done well! Have a great holiday!👍
@Pop-Actor (Rick) I am really surprised the battle ram isn't out in origins yet! They already have the sled out! And the motu mega constructs got a battle ram. I want my battle ram!😢 lol
Well they had Sky Sled which, ideally, should plug into the Battle Ram. So unless they built the Sky Sled with that in mind its gonna be a hard sell I think.
I think mattel did with the battle ram in mind. Its a big vehicle and tooling will cost alot of money. So if the brand is doing well they will have more money for new tooling! If not! We will keep seeing more repaints and just figures first!
@Pop-Actor (Rick) YEP! it's about the game and how much money they can profit and cuts to make. I understand making as much money as a business can! That's the point of being in business! But give a shit about what makes your buyers or audience happy! It's the same the thing with making youtube videos, being a content creator and being monitized and making as much ad revenue as you can! Nothing wrong with that! You put in all the time, money and energy making videos every week! But give a shit and care about your viewers and audience by interacting and being one of them!
No problem! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments! Great to hear you put your pre order in for him. I think they put a lot of extra care and detail in this updated version of stridor. One of the better origins vehicles so far for sure!👍
Strider looks good. They really updated these older vehicles/beasts. I'd love to see Roton next. My favorite vehicle as a kid next to Land Shark. Spydor would be amazing too.
Oh yeah! The origins line are really making the vintage vehicles much better by design, but still keeping that true nastalgia we felt and remember getting these as kids in the day! I have a feeling the Roton and nightstalker is coming next year in the line. I would love to see a origins inspired spydor! But time will tell on something like that. Thanks for watching and your comments. 👍
awesome! I buy animal figures in a line, got motuc & Origins BC, Swifty, Arrow, Cringer & Panthor, missed on Griffin as I got sent overseas that time..sux Duplicat's an exclusive, but would grab this one, once its available
Thanks for watching and your positive comments on my review as always! Yeah I don't have a vintage on hand¡ but just from memories and playing around with the origins stridor, Much better update then the vintage! The articulation alone says it for me!👍
Thanks for watching! Yea I had the vintage stridor and nightstalker as a kid too. They were built well! But no articulation and the one leg in the front in the upper pose use to drive me nuts. But this stridor is a perfect redesign and has that feeling of nastalgia all over again!
Thanks for watching and that comment about the review! Congrats on the pre order! Hopefully you'll see it soon! It's worth it if you like the origins stuff!👍
Thanks for watching and your awesome comments on my review! Yeah I had fun with this one! So those reviews seem to turn out the best because of the energy and time I put into it!👍

I didn’t get my notification. Excellent as always and I hope you’re doing well! I always used Rio Blast on Stridor. Always made more sense to me. PS, don’t leave the blast effects on more than a week.
Thanks for watching and your comments as always! I never thought of using Rio blast in stridor, but that does make sense. The whole fisto thing seem to emerge from the two pack in the 80s. Maybe in some comics too. Yeah I see the blast effects being over stretched staying on to long! I Hope your well too. Have a great holiday and be safe!👍😁

looks fantastic, great review as always, i just wish they would do more sculpt for the console etc. not just stickers. like the castle grayskull computer.
Thanks again. I appreciate you watching! Sorry I just seen this messages now. Some messages are hidden now! The origins are only gonna go so far with sculps. That would be the classics line to see that!
Even though they're not articulated but I love my vintage Stridor with Fisto n my Nightstalker with Jitsu. Now after seeing this video, I must get this Stridor. They made a wonderful job with this one & I can't wait to get origins Jitsu with his trusty sidekick Nighstalker. 😊
Yeah the vintage horses were really cool in the day and still holds up. But this version of stridor is a much better design with the articulation. It makes a world of different in setting him up with your other modern MOTU figures. Thanks for watching and great luck hunting!👍
IS it just me or do the legs look a little short though? The foot articulation is something that was needed for Battle Cat and Panthor. They probably just put both "helmets" in the tool planning for the Nightstalker release and put both in the box, like when you get an Panthor in the Mega Construx Line always come with battle cat's helmet.
The legs seem to look typical to the vintage. As I said in the review! I don't have a vintage to compare to, so I used a classics for size comparsions and to show how well the origins stridor is detailed next to the all mighty classics line. But at the same time the classics is not only bigger, but the legs on the classics makes the origins stridor legs look really small. Either way I think it looks fine and blends right in with the origins collection! Yeah I relised the two helmets were included to mimic the classics stridor release and to show a nightstalker in the making as you mentioned! I too wish they did the foot articulation with the cats. But they were produced early in the line and were aimed more at kids. So of coarse mattel cut cornors to save money on the added tooling or articulation cuts in the ankles of those figures. But now the kids are not interested in this line! It is the collectors. So the newer origins stuff is getting the improvments added!
@@Themanchlid The point I was making about the 2 helmets was they build them into the tool that was used to make the parts of Stridor, so they didn't have to make a new tool for when they (hopefully) release Night Stalker. They were just trying to save money, because it's cheaper to create the one tool with both helmets and etc than it would be to create a separate tool for the second helmet later even with the additional cost of the plastic for the second helmet. They could easily take the second helmet and recycle it into more parts too, but it just ads a little extra value to the buyer. (a rare time when Mattel does something right) When I look at pictures of the vintage Stridor and pictures of Origins, the legs just look shorter to me. Maybe it's an illusion like the legs are wider so they look shorter maybe. I'm not sure. I had an opportunity at a flee market a few years ago to get the vintage one, and I can't remember if I bought it or not because all the vintage MOTU figures I've picked up are packed away where I can't get to them. I really want to see someone do a direct comparison.
@@knightwolfpro4494 I got you! I'm sure when pixal dan gets one he will compare it to the vintage stridor and nightstalker figures, As he has all the vintage stuff and that's his style of reviews. I had most of the vintage stuff as a kid! Never had Eternia, blade or a vintage horde trooper. When I turned around 12 or 13 years old I lost interest in toys then, plus the Motu line was dead! I always had a place in my heart for wanting more. All my stuff was packed away to for 10 years in an attic. My father died and I took over the house then. I was around 22 years old. Me and my buddy starting cleaning things up around the house and the attic. We hit the motu stash in boxes. He couldn't believe what I had and I never knew he collected and loved motu just as much then! We are the same age and have been friends for over 30 years now and both collect motu origins and revalations. He has a few classics. I own most of the classics line. The point is all the stuff in the attic was messed up with the exeption of a few things! Stridor and the vintage nightstalker was one of them. Still in good shape. But I got rid of everything. Now fast forward 25 years later and I'm heavy into motu as you can see on my channel. I did purchase a few vintage things but only have interest in classics, some 200x, revalation and all the origins line. So im not one to really go back to the vintage figures. They are the core root to my collecting personally and the greatest thing ever created! But I prefer the newer stuff with more modern looks and articulation. So sorry I don't have vintage to compare to. I really have no interest in most of them compared to the classics and origins now.! I find through comments many people are more interested in the origins over vintage look now. Many people would prefer classics even more. But they are so out of reach on ebay for most because of cost. But I think the best nastalgia fix and more cheaper options between the vintage and classics is the origins in my opinion. So I don't go crazy trying to buy and compare older vintage that I don't have to the origins or classics in my reviews. I appreciate your comments and feedback!👍
Thank you Mattel just keep this toy line going. Best line in many many years. I’m waiting now for a snake mountain and a Roton. Please please Mattel !!!
You, Me and many others feel the same way about this origins line! I also hope that mattel keeps this line going long enough to finish up most of the original vintage stuff into the origins style. Time will tell I guess! I'm just happy we got what we got so far from this line. Thanks for watching and your comments. Merry Christmas👍🎄
Thanks for the review. I'm going to pick him up if I ever find it. I appreciate you showing the leg articulation, as that made me really dislike the original. I also like when you were going over the box at and pointed out skeletons dragon.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments. Im glad you got something good out if the review to help you make a decision in picking this figure up. Yes it's very frustrating trying to find some of this origins stuff in retail. I purchase all my stuff on ebay from sellers I known for a while, but I pay a higher Mark up to get it early for reviewing and collecting. Your best bet is big bad toy store. They take a while to get stuff. But its the best price and shipping. I enjoy going over as much detail as I can But try to jump cut stuff in editing to not spend to much time on the boring stuff. Best of luck in your toy hunting and have a great holiday!👍
@@Themanchlid Good point, but maybe if they did a 2nd chance of them, they could feature all the same articulation the Classics versions have. I forget, do the current Origins Battle Cat & Panthor have articulation at the mouth? I know they do at the neck, funny how I can't remember. I haven't opened mine yet.
@@allmusicfan88 Yeah it's to expensive to re tool the feet for ball joints and add it to those molds now. I talked about that in my faker/ duplicate exclusives video. I am very happy with those origins cats. But that lack of articulation in the feet is a bummer!
Great review. You're right, it's a very well detailed figure. I don't think I want him now, but no doubt that will change and I'll be glad to get a couple of them by the time they're more commonly available. 🙂
Thanks for watching! Yeah once it hits retailers or BBTS for a fair price it will be tempting not to have one. Really well done and great to have in the MOTU origins collections👍😁
Same here in nj bud! We never have nothing. Part of the reason I go on ebay and look for the best deals or big bad toy store! But they take a while to get stuff! Toy distribution is a very different world today than years ago. Sometimes buying online is your best option!
@@primelorenm6671 This stridor or the figures. Stridor will be around $40 in retail. As far as the figures go. Yeah it stinks they cost that much! Originaly they were gonna be 14.99 ar retail and found all over. That's not the way it goes with these origins. Unfortunately you might have to pay a little higher Mark up to pick up figures you will probley never find in stores. The curse of the adult toy collector! Yeah that was poor choices not to give the cats the ankle articulation! I think in the beginning the origins was 100% aimed to get small kids interested in the line. But with our generation taste for nastalgia. So if we had kids we would try to make them interested in the origins. Mattel made many improvments in the redsigns of the toys, but still kept things simple. So the cats were bigger and had all kinds of articulation but did not articulate the feet because most kids play patterns don't care for that and it cuts cost on more cuts and adding ball joints. Long story short! Kids aren't really interested in this line. We are! Mattel sees that now! It's becoming more collector based! So any newer stuff coming out seems to be improving for our tastes.!
@@DeityLink69 The 2002 remake was a great cartoon and still hold up! Better than the revalation show as far as the story goes! The toys were ok.
IMO

@@LastBastian I hear you on that! There's always room for improvments in this stuff! I'm just happy the line exists and we got many cool things so far!

Yeah the vintage horses were really cool in the day and still holds up. But this version of stridor is a much better design with the articulation. It makes a world of different in setting him up with your other modern MOTU figures. Thanks for watching and great luck hunting!👍
This one is a GRAND SLAM.
All the way buddy! They knock this origins stridor out of the Park!👍
(a rare time when Mattel does something right)
When I look at pictures of the vintage Stridor and pictures of Origins, the legs just look shorter to me.
Now that Stridor has foot articulation, I hope we see Battle Cat and Panthor with ankle/foot articulation at some point.
I dout it! I would love to see that! But if they didn't do it with the exclusives copy cat! I don't see it happing now! But you never know!
@@Themanchlid Good point, but maybe if they did a 2nd chance of them, they could feature all the same articulation the Classics versions have. Wait if stridor can articulate at the feet how come battlecat and panthor dont have that?
@@Themanchlid yeah exactly. Now me I actually grew up with the 2002 remake of MOTU but that got hooked on the lore and ofcoars the toys lol
