Love it. In terms of the same side RPO that you went over as a possibility for the backside alley player rolling down... What is your opinion on having two conflict areas built into the play? For example, the single receiver also running a glance . Would definitely be something you would need to rep out a lot, maybe it could even be a pre-snap decision.
If you have looked into any Wake Forest, they have used multiple RPO options in one play, but seem to allow the QB to look both ways even post-snap. Now they really slow down the mesh point with the RB, so it looked a little bit funny. But it is interesting.

I did look into a little bit of Wake last year. It is really interesting how they do that mesh. We do usually have different sides that the QB can go to like you said with a pre snap decision that they can take and than a post snap read.
We had some success with the front side RPO's this year a couple of times. In the past we have also given the QB, especially to the single, to tell him if he sees a route he likes. Being at a new school this year we have not gotten that in depth yet with them.
      Thanks for watching!

Great video Coach! It looks like you have a lot of these RPOs as one word calls. Can you tell me how/why you are labeling these as 'Cali' 'Florida', etc? Im always trying to improve my communication while at the same time making it easier for the kids to understand/remember.

Great question. That is more of what we call the loose concept of the Routes that are ran. It would normally be a tag with the runs we have with them.

@@coachescaviar8898 Ah, that's what I thought that was. Is there anyway you could do a video on Clemson's offensive scheme and break down their scheme and RPO?

Really cool video! Just one question popped up in my head: Are these RPOs "legal"? Or to be exact, why isn't the outside reciever flagged for starting to downfield block as the ball is in the air, and why is there no penalty on the offensive linemen climbing to the 2nd level on the Bang8 RPO?

There's more leeway in college football for OL to block downfield. I don't think there's a actual distance in the rule book on how far they can go but the grey area is around 3 or 4 yards. For the WR at the beginning, I guess you can call PI but the WR does a good job of disguising it and making it look like he's running a route, refs don't usually cal OPI unless it's obvious

@@Christian-qu6yv Thank you. So it's just LSU being smart and using the grey in the rulebook to their advantage. Love it.
And I'll prepare myself to hear Dabo cry to the media after the game aswell

@@B92LG No problem but a lot of teams have their own version of a RPO including Clemson. So the only tears we will be seeing from Dabo are tears of joy come Monday 😉

@@Christian-qu6yv Oh I know every half decent offense uses RPOs. But Sweeney (and Saban too) usually like to complain about how the opposing team 'exploited' the rules if they lose
