I was a former HS principal until I was given a whole department, usually students cry in my office. Watching in my office, I was the one crying from the moment I saw those green LS until the last goodbyes. This is the Luke Skywalker we should have had, not the green milk-thingy drinking dying old man. This finale made my 2020 Christmas much brighter. This is the way!
Ehmmm...you do realize that the Mandalorian takes place DECADES before the events of the sequel trilogy, right? Plus, the sequels were always meant to be a 'passing the torch' kinda thing. I do agree that the sequels could have been alot better, but I still enjoyed them regardless...

Remember, the sequels were always meant to be 'passing the torch' kind of movies; especially since the previous main cast (Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford) may be too old to do these enhanced fighting scenes and other stunts themselves. The Luke, Leia and Han we know (and love) established in the now Legends canon are no longer part of the new established canon. Hating the new movies, only because Disney didn't made the EU/Legends part of the new canon is - pardon the pun - not the way. I think it is time for us to accept it and move on, like it or not...

Luke, at the end of his Hero's Journey is now the Master and thats what fans waited 40 years to see. Again, its just my opinion but I'd say by the looks of most of these videos and the sheer outpouring of sentiment over this episode, that most fans would agree with my position. Put it this way, NOBODY will be crying if Rey makes an appearance on screen in another 30 years time.
I'm a grown ass man and when I saw that X-Wing flying solo I started to tear up... when I saw that glove and green lightsaber I jumped for joy... when I saw the hood come of to reveal Luke Skywalker I cried like I lost a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to see I'm not the only emotional star wars fan!!!!

Hard to believe we had Luke and R2 action figures to play with over 40 years ago when we were kids. Its neat to see younger people react to these shows but they just cant feel it the same as those who saw it decades ago and had to wait this long.
This is a late response. I don't think so. I was lucky enough to watch the original new hope in theaters as kid in the 90s. They played it in theaters for a limited time as part of an anniversary thing. It was awesome. Then I collected all the vhs movies and revenge of the sith on DVD. I'm sure that there were of plenty of people who fell in the love with the originals as much as I even though I wasn't born when they originally came out.
Late reply. I was 6 when I saw the original in 77'. There was nothing like it before when it came out. Now that I'm older, I still teared up when I saw this. The original trilogy is still the best. Then when I hear talk of remaking the original 3 in 10 or 15 years it makes me ill.
People that were trying to defend that horrible trilogy 7,8,9 must really feel like idiots now after watching this Mandalorian episode. This is Star Wars. This is the way.
@@shirleytwsw ummm no he was not. When order 66 was given, he was actually with Anakin when he went to Mustafar to kill the Separatists. He told R2 to stay in the ship when he went into kill them. After that, he went to the Jedi temple to kill the younglings. R2 was with him. Not Padme. That's one of the reasons I think it's very plausible.

I can't stop watching all of the fan reaction videos and a few without fan reactions. I love this ending of this episode because of all the fan reactions and you can see how people love and missed Master Jedi Luke Skywalker! I don't care about the CGI face it looks AWESOME TO ME. I cried after the end of this episode just as I did at the part when Rey says, "Be with me?" and you start to hear all of the voices of the Jedi in The Rise of Skywalker.

That was not CGI. It was a technology called “Deaging“. -I loved your authentic reactions. Friday night I showed up to Downtown Disney as Jedi Luke Skywalker with Grogu and R2-D2. Guests and cast alike loved it. -The Disneyland Neighbor
I know i'm late to the party, but on another reaction video I saw a comment pointing out that Din probably hasn't been touched by anyone since his mother when he was a child and put the mando helmet on. That makes the scene where Grogu touches his face even more emotional
It had never even occurred to me that, it could have been R2D2 who saved Grogu from order 66, but that makes a ton of sense, and it makes this scene even more powerful! Very good catch!

Also, I think it's worth pointing out that my girl in the middle wasn't actually crying or getting emotional at the return of "Return Of The Jedi-Era Luke," as much as she was getting emotional about Grogu being separated from his surrogate father Mando... which is also great, and kinda expected....right? I mean, Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni knew exactly what they were doing when they drew up the concept for this show... a Mandalorian and cute little baby of Yoda's species go on adventures together? Come on, you can see how brilliant that is, can't you? I mean, a Mandalorian wearing a shiny chrome version of the armor that Bobba Fett wore in the original trilogy draws in all the old-school diehard Star Wars fans...............and the cute little baby? That draws in their wives or girlfriends. It's just genius.

It"s normal to react but the execs like Pablo Hidalgo should apologize to all than fans who reacted this way. The Mandalorian is a great series outside the Star Wars universe.
