Try a mini suite on your next Princess cruise. There’s thick curtains separating the bed area from the living room/balcony area. You can have them open during the day, and close them at night. It really helps with the light 😎 (I hate light when I’m sleeping)

My husband and I just got off the Royal Princess on Saturday! Round trip from Seattle to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Glacier National Park! I watched your Royal Princess videos a few weeks ago and they gave us so much helpful information and heads up for places/things to do! You guys are so cute and fun to watch! So glad I stumbled across your videos. Now I’m watching your Grand Princess videos even though I just came back from Alaska! 😊

Me too! We went on Royal Princess from Seattle on May 27- June 03 and we had mini suites . I loved the ship very much. WhT a gorgeous ship. Did you go on the same week?

Loved watching this every night after work! We are taking the same boat and itinerary in a few weeks, and we loved watching it together every night, and we just got more excited! I’m seeing a lot of travelers who aren’t happy with the food on the grand, so I was glad to hear it was “alright” even if it wasn’t memorable!

Hi guys…thanks for your honest review! I was on the Grand Princess for an Alaskan cruise in May (actually I got off in Vancouver the day you guys boarded). Found you guys while I was looking for Alaska travel videos on TH-cam. Not sorry to say both of you (along with This Alaska Life) are now my favorites😍 Thanks for sharing your life adventures with all of us! Hope to one day get back to Alaska and explore more of the places in your videos!

Thank you for vlogging your cruises and of course Alaska. Alaska has always been on my bucket list. Grow up in Washington state and now live in SanDiego. We are doing the Alaska cruise in July of 2024. Thank you for giving us a window into what to do and see in ports of Alaska. ❤

Enjoyed your vlogs. We also love the older smaller ships as well, for the same reasons you brought up. We find it's more intimate as we meet more people and have forged friendships. We actually have arranged cruises with our new friends. We experienced the food in the MDR and buffet as just ok, nothing special. It does vary quite a bit from ship to ship. We roll with it because any day on a ship is better than being at home and working. Princess does service better than almost any other line we've experienced.

Loved your vlog serie. And also it came out every day instead of once a week, like other vloggers do.
We did Alaska last year with the Disney Wonder and loved it. If we can we will do Alaska again, but probably with an other cruiseline. (Disney is very expensive) and this cruise is all about the itinerary as you said. I don’t agree that itinerary doesn’t matter on other cruises, for example the Europe cruises. We did a port intensive cruise in the Mediterranean not with Disney because of that. (We’re Disney lovers, got platinum there). Also in Europe is the itinerary leading.
And I agree with the inside stateroom. We did this on the Wonder for the first time (also because of the large price difference with veranda) and it was great. We had a sideway and it feels large. And we had deck 4 to sit on the deck chairs and saw the amazing environment. And my son is smoking and the smoking place has also great views.
Again thanks and looking forward to your next vlogs.

I enjoyed your daily videos. It was fun to watch and I loved how you recommended local businesses that you actually bought from.
If you want to do a small ship and visit other ports like Sitka and Wrangell, I would highly recommend Alaskan Dream Cruises and their 9-day cruise. It was so worth it and a max of 49 passengers, great crew, and an awesome chef.

Really enjoyed watching the whole series of the cruise! We saw you guys many times and nice to re live our fun cruise through the video's. I could not agree more about the drink package we got the premium drink package and really thought it was well worth it. Also glad to hear it wasn't just us who was not overly impressed with the food. It wasn't bad but it was not great, like you said. We were new to Princess so did not know if that was standard with the food or the ship? I was in front of you waiting to pet the puppies so nice I got to be in one of your video's! Hope to see you guys again on another Alaska cruise!

My wife & I just completed our Alaskan Cruise from Seattle on the Royal Princess!
We LOVED it! The Staff could not do enough for us! We booked a Balcony Rm and I’m TOTALLY hooked on this room!
The Crown Grill (Filet Mignon/Lobster) and Sabitini’s are Fabulous!
But our Cruise did have some hiccups.
According to Princess the Canadian Government stated the ship had to “reduce” their speed. Thus we got into Juneau at 3pm (instead of 7am) and left the port at 9pm. We did attend our Whale Watching.
At Skagway (Train Ride) & Ketchikan (Lumberjack SHow) were Terrific!
Glacier Bay was the Highlight of the Cruise!
We were into Victoria at 9pm (left at 12am) and loss out on our 2nd Whale Watching (Princess did reimburse the us)!
I would booked this cruise again without hesitation!

Yeah, that's something we didn't do a lot with this cruise, so we didn't want to speak about how it was since we didn't really experience that much this time. On our 2022 Alaska cruise we did more of that and really loved it.

Hi guys, enjoyed your Alaska cruise on the Grand Princess for two reasons. First the wife and I are cruising on the Grand Princess at the end of the year out of Melbourne Australia for six nights. Good to get your review on the ship, many thanks. Second always liked Alaska, My first OE was to Alaska and the Yukon back in 1989. Good to see Skagway again, we went on the ferry MV Columbia from Skagway to Seattle taking 4 nights,( 3 cruise ships were on port that day) stopping on the way down. Having whales cruising past the ferry, so cool!! An Alaska cruise is on the bucket list, still. If you know the Foster's from Talkeetna say hi from me ! Cheers Paul from NZ.

Enjoyed your Alaska cruise review. All of your Alaska videos have capitivated my interest in doing an Alaskan cruise even though I have done an Inside Passage cruise on a British Columbia ferry and sailed up remote Bute Inlet in B.C. on a Canadian Forces ship while doing marine research! But Alaska is intriguing, it has the glaciers, and a certain wildness!

I have actually booked an Alaskan cruise tour for June 2024 and cannot wait to explore your gorgeous state! If you guys have any suggestions for things to do in Anchorage please share. We will be there for a half day and we are looking for something fun to do. Also any dinner restaurants that are a must try?

A question from two retired Indiana school teachers. We are planning a seven or eleven day Alaska cruise this coming July/August. The 11 day cruise is the cruise+train+lodge. We want to see Denali National Park. After watching your review of your first 7-day Alaska cruise in 2022, now we are wondering if we should book the Denali trek on our own. Can you please share your expertise about arranging that on our own. Additionally, can you tell us which ship was your favorite and why as we haven’t watched the 2023 video yet. Thank you.

Adam, have you produced a vlog on, what do I call this, 1st time cruiser’s? Information like drink package, how and what is our responsibility to our servers, how to figure in gratuity, how to prepare our luggage (to make sure it keeps traveling with us.), good solid information for the 1st time cruiser. Thank you Thank you

An Alaskan cruise is really the only kind of cruise I would want to do. I’m really don’t like being hot, not beach fan. Just seeing your review of both last year and this year’s cruises, I want to start saving up to go on an Alaskan cruise!
I’m really not into musicals so I would be okay missing the shows. I have heard they have nature talks and seeing those puppies would definitely be my thing! Your reviews have been great to hear.
Do you think employees like Sherri that go on the cruises help with improving the experience?

Loved the video. We are planning our first Alaskan cruise and I do have a question. You briefly touched base on the rooms veranda vs inside room and we are planning on a veranda for exactly the reasons you mentioned, but my question has to do with where on the ship is the best place to get a room. Is it at the rear, middle, or front? A certain deck that is better? Do you have that much freedom to pick where your room will be? I have fears of getting a veranda and then having a view of the life boats. :)

Question…what do you expect the Alaska cruise weather to be like in October? Our 1st Alaska cruise was in August and it was cold for us (we live in Hawaii, so of course we were freezing)! Will October be colder since it’s closer to fall/winter? We also agree that when cruising with friends, you don’t have to do everything together. We already told our friends this for our upcoming cruise. We’re the most seasoned cruisers and don’t want them to just follow us around all day/night. We want them to do their own exploring and we can meet up for meals or coffee.

    • @LeggLife
      @LeggLife  ปีที่แล้ว

October is normally getting colder for sure. I would pack warmer layers. You could totally get lucky and get some nice weather, but October is often a month where we are reminded that winter is fast approaching
