Competing for STA Plat or TFL 1a championships. Training every day to compete in 3+ matches a week. God I miss the early late 90's/early 00's.
So this was before TF2 was out right? People were begging for a sequel back then. What we got was sometimes fun, not-close-to-original type, hat simulator. "Hopefully it would have been worth the wait."
Long live tfc it makes me sad that this isn't a good game anymore and no one plays it r good ol days when you just sat waiting for a player slot to open. This song is great to.

See, I'm only 16, and didn't start video games until the age of 10, so I missed the boat on older games in their prime. Like, now, in 2010, I want to do multiplayer on standalone Half-Life Opposing Force, but the website that hosted it is now defunct. So frustrating! I'm proud of anyone who still plays team fortress classic. Keep on rocking!
Still have some tfc active servers ? Played from 2000 to 2007... Remember when you could bunny hop like crazy until Valve limited speed ? The leagues BWTFCL, European league with crazy suomi. And the epic players -Lf-Mike, [SHS]Gunter, [UE]p00py... Miss that time.

I have to say I was disappointed to see the cartoonish look of the new tf2 game. At first I was excited when I googled it until I saw the look. TFF is a perfect example of people coming together and making something happen and still grasping that notalgic feeling of the original. As an old school guy myself and playing engineer throwing EMP grenades with 4fort4(what you know about that?). My point is TF2 is where it's at and just let TF die a good death and move on to where it's at. I too at first gave TF2 a slow start and now that I'm getting the same feelings I used to get through TF1 the game gets better every day honestly to me
There is actually one other reason to play this other than nostalgia: It's still the best game ever. The community's still going strong with the WCTFC coming up in a few months... hopefully... TFC forever!

It also leaves their head spinning like a bedroom ceiling after 8 bottles of cider which makes them pretty inaccurate with their shots until it wears off. Now, if you drop the conc on the floor and stand close to it, as it goes off you will be propelled exceedingly fast, directly away from the conc.

As a long-time TFC player, I must say this: TFC was a fun game. Back in the day. Going back to it now do I realize how unbalanced, how stupid and how unfun it was. The only usable characters are the Sniper, Medic, Soldier and the Heavy. Everyone else is useless because they can't do enough damage or it's impossible for them to hit with their weapons. The medic is particularly overpowered, however - Almost as fast as the scout + Conc grenades, as well as a double-barreled shotgun, (Cont.)
This mod, and the original TF for Quake 1 are way better than TF2. I don't understand why so many people like it, i played it and it didn't feel like the old ones at all. The original quake 1 mod was definately the most fun one for me.
guys if you havn't noticed this game was created before tf2 and the orangebox came out, and this guy has a pretty good point, TFC for people who wanna get in the game as quick as possible, counterstrike for people who just like.... better graphics????

I think I clanned with KeG. Then I talked to him and found out he lives in the same state as me. TFC is the greatest online shooter ever made. It's not easily understood by the newer generation with their short attention span. It demands patience to gain the skill to actually be good. No killstreaks and all that bullshit, just pure balls of steel are required.

the end song is my favorite half-life/half-life 2 song because it plays in the best parts of the game. half-life 1/ lambda core half-life 2/ ravenholm

TFC classes are not unbalanced, but diverse. They serve different purposes, and their usability depends on the map.

steam shud realease tfc free of charge for all of us so the game would never die, though some of us still play it like the guy said, its bleeding
