I love your statements about the USA. I have lived here for over 30 years, and it's absolutely true about friendships and living conditions. That is why I tell people from my country Trinidad 🇹🇹 donot mighere if you have a stable job.
It is not true about the language. Every state and where you grow up will depend on the linguistic skills and the accent. Most Americans donot realize they have different accents.
Have a lovely visit and be safe wherever you visit. Donot venture out by yourself at night. Blessings and love to you for your dedication to your creative content.❤❤❤🎉

Kellen, comfortably saying Muzungu made me laugh. Muzungu means aimless wanderer. It was the name given to European explorers in 1800. The locals did not know what they were looking for as they traversed the continent back and forth with their maps and compasses looking for minerals.

Here's what your history books will not tell you: In 1803, Free Haitians soldiers came to the US, shed their blood & defeated the French in Savanah, Ga. Because of that defeat the French sold the Louisiana Purchase to the US for 3 cents an acre for a total of 828,000 square mile. It's the greatest land bargain which doubled the US land mass. Henry Cristophe was a young boy when he came to fight. He became King Henry Christophe who built the Citadelle. There is a monument in Georgia dedicated to the Haitian soldiers. I have a lot of respect for African American who died to make this country what it is! But Free Haitians shed their blood for America while African American were still slaves!

@African Tigress I have read some of the comments, and I believe you, perhaps inadvertently have given the impression of being more purposely judgemental when it comes to your USA visit. Please understand the USA is a very large country, and depending on whether you are North, South, East or West you will find the culture is somewhat diverse and even the accent changes. California, alone is the size of 5 states.
I believe, what has shocked some followers is that you were so willing to Travel to “no go areas of Haiti”, you travelled with men mostly you got to know and you were fine. Many people love to bash America, but most of these people have rarely travelled to different parts of America.
Please try to remain objective. Someone said, Americans don’t know they have different accents. That is a foolish blanket statement. Of course we do, and I guarantee you that statement was most likely made by someone who was not born in the US.
America is a Beautiful, Diverse, Country. There is good and bad in literally every part of the world. You have been objective in your travels to other countries. Please exercise the same objectivity in America.
I am still, of course, a fan and enjoy so much your content.👍🏾♥️♥️♥️

    • @AFRICANTIGRESS
      @AFRICANTIGRESS  หลายเดือนก่อน

I don’t know why some people just picked on one side of what I shared and nothing on the positives that I shared just like Haiti, there’s different regions. Just like every country I have been to. I answered a question I was asked my likes and dislikes. US is one of the largest countries in the world. I mean Texas alone is bigger than my country Kenya.
I go to places that they have been told are no go zones because I don’t listen to media. And some probably believe it’s the greatest nation in the World and no one should have contrary opinion. I have a lot of things I like about America and some that I don’t. Just like every country. The internet is full of sensitive people, I criticize my own country. And I’m Okay if anyone shares their opinion about my country based on how they feel. I will never feel bad that someone feels unsafe in Nairobi or finds Nairobians not so polite. People barely greet people they don’t know in Nairobi but it’s common in West Africa and the coast of Kenya.

I appreciate all feedback, but I want to clarify a few things. When I arrived in the Caribbean, I already had over 250K followers, which means I’ve been doing this for a while. It feels like there's a different standard for African creators, while others who might exploit or misrepresent local cultures are embraced, as long as they ‘sound good’ or fit a certain mold.
I’ve built my platform on authenticity. I don’t have to fake anything or put others down to make myself or anyone else feel better. Every country I visit, whether it's in the Caribbean or elsewhere, is beautiful in its own way, and my goal is to show that. I aim to highlight the positives and make genuine connections wherever I go, while also being transparent about my experiences.
All countries have something unique to offer, and every place I visit is a paradise in its own right. As a creator, my role is to share that with the world in an honest way. Thank you for understanding.

She said nothing wrong. If you're a world traveler, you most definitely can't just choose a single country as a favorite. AT, hopefully in time you will start to feel less afraid.
I was puzzled why you kept calling Hollywood Florida "Miami" when they are completely different places. That would be equivalent to calling Cap-Haitien, Port-au-Prince. It's more accurate to refer to the portion of Florida you are visiting as South Florida.
Florida is divided into several regions, South FL (Miami-Dade, Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Palm Beach, just to name a few cities). Central Florida (area where Disney World is located along with Kissimmee, Orlando & Daytona Beach also just a few big cities named). North Florida home of the state capital, Tallahassee. Northwest Florida (Tampa areas) Finally, the panhandle (Destin, Panama City, Pensacola Beach areas). I only named a few of the major cities you might have heard of to give you an idea of where you are in the state of Florida which, as you know is only one state in the 50 contiguous states of the 51 United States of America.
Every part of Florida along with the big cities have a different vibe and culture so, your experience will be different. Hopefully, you'll quit calling Hollywood FL Miami.
Btw, pronunciation of Kissimmee is Kiss-Sem-Me.😘
    Much ❤ and blessings.

@@AFRICANTIGRESS I did see that you were in Miami-Dade and Hollywood. Miami is in Miami-Dade County and Hollywood is in Broward County. So, those are the boundaries. Having previously lived in South Florida in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, I'm very familiar with where you were.

Depends on where you are. In the cities people don’t greet as much because we are leery of potential scams, robberies, begging, etc.

@@MyishaFord-ib9gt Exactly. I see these tourist visiting NYC, LA, Las Vegas, Washington DC and Miami and then wonder why no one greets them in those big cities. Big cities all over the world are the same. You have a lot of people who don't know each other. You go to a small town here in the US and you will be greeted and they will love to talk to you because they don't see people from these other countries daily. They love talking to you and want you to have a positive experience in their town.

    1. Depending on what part of America you go, you will come across different greeting styles.
    2. The tour guide kept pluging his businesses 😆
    3. He gave you mints because your breath might be stinks from the fish, so please be mindful about that here in America.
    4. America can be very bias.
    5. The tour guide shared too many personal stories and biases.
