    When it comes to attacking, it can be a "make or break" kind of shot. What I mean by this, is that if you choose to attack, and your attack isn't a good attack, you will set yourself up to lose the point. On the other hand, if you can attack with the right mindset and execution, you can win the point almost every time. Check out this video so that you know EXACTLY how to attack your opponent to win more points!

    Solid content as always. I get stuck in the issue where the mind knows what I "should" be targeting, but the flesh is unwilling! lol. Need more drilling of course.

    Super tip. Being newer and coming from being a pretty good tennis player and top tier ping pong player I have struggled in drills as my partner has when we have tried to do this drill. I have been trying to go to a forehand instead of sliding my backhand over. I kept getting caught not quite transitioning to the forehand side. You have shown me that our error was trying to go forehand instead of maintaining the backhand at the kitchen line. Thanks so much for your help and Happy holidays to you and your family!😁

      @jackstein5486 you just explained exactly what I’ve been struggling with at the NVZ. I find myself looking more like Zoro trying figure out which way to hit the ball. Jordon, this video was so helpful as all your videos are. I’ve learned so much as a newbie. Also, kudos to your wife for being such a good sport/partner!

    Love the drills! We're building a court and I hope to have regular drills with 4-6 players ... if they'll agree to drilling sessions.
    Keep 'em coming, Jordan!

    Great video and tips. Could ask your wife about the new air S2 in turns of spin, power, touch, and speed. How does the perform in the soft game and the transition form 16 mm to 13?

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a power paddle. It’s going to feel completely different from a 16mm. If you want power and spin, this is the paddle that you should get.

    I’ve always been told to attack the right hip on a righty n vice versa , what’s your thoughts on that?

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right hip is good, but 1-2 feet away from the right hip is usually better.

    • @BrionesPickleball

      Depends. Different players like different things in a paddle. I will begin doing paddle reviews soon.

    As a table tennis coach a few weeks ago I told my players to TOTALLY focus on placement on all shots instead of going for all power. One thing I see pro women table tennis players close to the table do is little split steps between shots. Sometimes more than one. Do you see doing mini split steps on the non volley line would improve footwork speed for the wide balls?

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could, I’ll have to do a video on this sometime

    • @mauricetate3571
      @mauricetate3571 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrionesPickleball It would be interesting to do the volley exercise with wide placements with mini steps and without them and see which is better.

      @alece3525 - use the "Settings" gear icon on the bottom right side of the viewing screen to select "Playback Speed" and select .75 or .50 and you can watch any video on slow motion! (The audio may be a little annoying :))

    I was told to attack the hip of the paddle side after the feet?

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes hip is ok, 1-2 feet away from the hip is better

    • @kento1957
      @kento1957 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrionesPickleball Actually 1 ft. away from the paddle hip is easier than the hip. Paddle hip, elbow, shoulder are best after the feet. Then of course wide just out of reach.
