    "Incompatible with life" is a powerful statement. As a Hospice nurse, I've pronounced many people in my career, but they were all either geriatric or hospice patients. I've participated in code situations in a hospital setting, but I've never heard that expression before. I was impressed to hear that spoken.---This was a mind-boggling eye-opener. Uff da.

    I don't think many citizens show enogh appreciation for pur emergency responders who put thier lives on hold and at risk while saving th lives of others. May God Bless and Protect ALL Emergency Respinders. 🙏

    I love these shows but the accent is so hard to understand sometimes. I try the captioning but it seems they can't understand them either because the things they come up with are sometimes more entertaining than the show🤣

      "He's not breathing, OK" captioning says "He's not freezing pancakes"🤨

      Emphysema is another term for COPD. My mom had that, after 55 years of smoking. What got her in the end was an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Nicotine is highly addictive. Mom used nicotine patches to help her quit after she was diagnosed.

      You can be sad about someone else dying without caring about your own life 🤷

      @@michelefritchie6198There are many causes for COPD, smoking is just one and, oddly enough, heavily taxed.
      So it's strange that some say smokers cause the NHS an unnecessary financial burden when the taxes they've already paid via their habit has covered their cost of treatment.

    Why request an advanced paramedic if the patient is in a Dr office? The Dr is there--the nurse is there?

      @d.rim.4275 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Because of differences in training. A GP doesn't have the same level of training in resus as an advanced paramedic. And and advanced para is allowed to give medication and perform treatments on the road that normal paramedics aren't.

      @d.rim.4275 Exactly. And the GP probably doesn't have the medications or equipment in office that the paramedics have in their kit. Advanced life support is different than what a GP encounters in their daily practice even if they learned it in med school and their post ed training.

    I can’t believe thirds dispatchers are telling callers to cut person down. Hell no that’s would be tampering with evidence and then they would be trouble legal. They need to be retrained.

    • @michellerhodes5477
      @michellerhodes5477 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not at all. Potentially saving their life > preserving evidence.
