Between targeting his own marine with a siege tank to kill a lurker he couldn't see last season, and the "late" turret DT bait this season, Rush is now my favorite player in the ASL.

Btw I personally think this is the best ASL map pool we've had.. possibly ever, actually. Really wish Blizz or whoever controls it.. made a new ladder season right now. Butter, Monopoly, Metaverse, Vermeer, Polypoid, Eclipse, Ascension sounds like a banger ladder map pool to me.

And that is, if you're constantly blocking the ramps in your expansions with swarm, and keep shuffling your defiler around perfectly with the Nydus, you can essentially hold any base indefinitely. The fact that he was able to do that without lurkers against an opponent like Rush was really impressive. There was a clear vulnerability though, when his Muta count went down, Rush should've added Tanks.
I wonder how that would have held up if Rush had made a few rounds of firebats. It seemed like there was a timing where it was just lings holding the ramps.

And then In TvZ, I haven't heard them talk about using It but how are tactical nukes not feasible for dealing with ling ultra defiler? someone tell me why you cant throw two nukes on a ramp from different angels and then deny zerg from detection with either air control or heck use medics more often and Blind any Ovis.... 300 of the total 450 health of Carriers is in HP, rather than shields, so the EMP doesn't do that much. Science Vessels cost a lot of gas that could be spend on Siege Tanks or Goliaths instead, so Terrans aren't making/upgrading them very much when they're playing against Carriers. Battlecruisers are just a bad investment against Protoss. Dragoons (and even Scouts!) can fight them pretty well, and they're very vulnerable to Psi Storm or Stasis Field because groups of them always clump up. So you never see Battlecruisers against Protoss in pro matches; Goliaths are the most cost-effective way to fight Carriers. 1 BC = 400 mineral / 300 gas / 6 Supply 3 Goliaths = 300 mineral / 150 gas / 6 Supply With Nukes vs. Zerg, it's just too much investment in upgrades and micro/APM to handle Ghosts and Medics while dealing with everything else, all for a risky tactic when Zerg have Overlords all over the place. Pro gamers generally don't get Restoration, let alone Optical Flare, though I've always thought Restoration would be good for saving plagued Science Vessels -- less time/resources than sending them back to be repaired.

SPOILERS: Action vs Shuttle, I actually think it's possible that Action's double den hydra bust was a fake with no intention to commit. Action only made 8 initial hydras and killed a gateway, pylon, forge mid upgrade, and forced 7 cannons (1 being cancelled). He also cut probes during this time to get the cannons up. I know arty and tasteless viewed it as shuttle defending action's move but it looked to me that action was actually ahead afterwards. Action's supply was very similar and was even higher for a moment before the mutas even killed any probes and this usually means that Zerg is ahead.
A game this big and long: G1 in Losers, protoss really need to start getting d-web. It would make the drops a lot less effective while giving time for relocation.

ok dont get me wrong, I LOVE tastosis, been watching for a decade and I am eternally grateful that we have them and their passion keeping this game alive for western audience but holy shit sometimes I feel like they have no idea what they are talking about...take the Action V Shuttle game, they are sitting there praising Shuttle talking about what a masterful game he's played and how he's in a great position, 10 seconds later mutas obliterate everything he has and they've immediately switched their narrative like nothing has happened and their previous 5 minutes of commentary wasn't completely contrary to what is going down in the current moment. its honestly just comical to me because they're good at sounding like experts but they are so so wrong like most of the time
They are not controlling the observer. So sometimes, you can just see, what you can see and miss like switches, that completely crushes the enemy. So, personally I was seeing similar things, that shuttle was playing really well. I was thinking, he is ahead, till the Murad came out of nowhere too tbh.
It's so sad that GGaymo didn't SANDWICH the push by combining the three lurkers from the top with the five from the bottom. That would have won him the game.
I feel like gaemo was ahead every game he lost the whole asl, it just seems like he makes a big mistake at some point and hes not good enough to recover once he falls behind.
