If you can spare the juice on the GoPro battery it's not a bad idea to keep the wifi on if you think there's a possibility it could be ejected into tall grass or leaves or something. It has a lost camera alarm you can activate with the app. I'm thinking about running 5v wire to power mine off the PDB.

I built a 1:10 scale (roughly) spitfire as a scratch build inspired by the FT-spitfire, and I don't know if it's because I've got a 13" 3-blade prop on it, or because the whole thing weighs probably >~5 lbs, but man it is hard to get off the ground. The power is there, but it is really difficult to control on the ground at near-stall-speed speeds.

on the plane side you can absolutely build and get in the air for under a 100$ however the quads its ~500$ if you have a transmitter and if not ~600-700$

Glad he didn't get hurt. I was working on my nitro powered airboat. it was idling and scooted forwars into my right arm. 3 minor cuts and 1 big cut. needed 6 stitches.

Did anyone else play the old PC games "Sopwith" and "Sopwith 2" back in the '80s and early '90s. When Josh was testing out the triplane and doing those loops, I was having flashbacks to those games. Man I miss those days.
How is the progress on this DR1 coming along? I'm very interested in a plane of this size and honestly it just looked very fun to fly. I haven't flown in oh about 16 years or so but I recently scratch built your FT-22 and although I haven't flown it yet or even maidened it yet I know it will be an excellent way back into flying. I think this triplane would further my flying experience and it just looks awesome. Thanks to you if I havent said it before.
I really enjoyed the triplane. but I still would like to see an SE5A. my very first control line playing was a sterling SE5A back in 1960 and I have been in love with that plane ever since. I would truly like to see you design and build the largest SE5A you can build out of foam. Thank, Jim

There is a mistake on your Fokker DR1. The rudder of the full scale plane is in only one part, and all the rudder move. But it's a nice creation. One more time, good job Flite Test team^^. (Sorry for my english, I'm french)

Hi FliteTest will you guys do a Review on the Eflite Convergence VTOL Airplane (similar to Peters Chimera but with a fixed Tailrotor, differential Thrust with the Tilt-Rotors)? Intersting feature is that it will be available as a PNP Version.

great works guys, i'm learning to fly and i've learned a ton so far so thanks for that! (obviously saving me dollars as well :) :). ... the smaller aircraft availble now have opened up bigger back yards for flying things a little beyond the toy grade 2 channel. Could you do some videos on small aircraft suitable for the backyard pilot? The duet has been a great one is this setup for example. Keep up the great vids!
The problem with the props, suddenly starting to spin, is an issue I do know well!! The problem is that it happens everytime you don´t expect it. You have to be very careful when operating with fast spinning things!! At one time a prop cut right into my finger... thankfully it didn´t cut through it horizontally, hence it wasn´t that bad (my finger is still in one piece :D ). Really like your Vlogs. They are very entertaining! Keep it up! PS: The triplane looks awesome. Keep bashing the drones. I´d like to see more of that ;)
Suggestion - If your gopro was in bluetooth range, you could turn off recording and hear the beep sequence making it easier to find. Start and stop if necessary. I've done this a few times.
weirdest coincidence ever... I just spent the last two hours trying to piece together a way to make a mini fokker dr1 identical to this, I guess I'm going to let you guys do the r&d, your planes always fly better than my homebrewed ones lol
Paint it red and enjoy your handcrafted FokkerDR1 of the Red Baron :D P.S, add a landing gear, it would help with take offs and lands, also make it more realistic :D
