For me it was kinda underwhelming because ibiki didn’t use any of his techniques, or use the mind read jutsu so we could learn some brand new information Boruto hasn’t said yet. It’s kinda frustrating with the monthly schedule having dialogue heavy chapters that are not giving us any new information.

I like the reference to the Naruto Shippuden fist arc when Kankurô calls Shikamaru for help and also Gaara has been attacked like formerly. We will see again Konoha’s Shinibi rescue Sunagakure !
It was nice to have a slow chapter like this after all the fast paced action. Shikamaru and Mitsuki really came in clutch with helping Boruto escape. Also if they're going to the Sand and Sarada and Mitsuki don't go then I'm hoping Shikadai Chocho and Himawari do. That would be pretty interesting

I'm really interested to see Kawaki's next interaction with Boruto after this chapter as to whether he'll generally ask questions about the decisions Boruto made or whether he'll continue on the agenda of eliminate on sight. It makes me just wonder the moment that will take place to cause him to spiral or grow as a character and make the drastic decision that he did to create the only possible outcome. Because if he said he'll send Boruto where he sent Naruto, that means there's a likelihood he doesn't intend to kill him.

I think daemon poking fun at kawaki has a little more depth to it than it seems at the surface, I think daemon is doing all of this to drive kawaki away from eida, and later in the chapter we see him visibly upset that boruto didn’t leak the truth which in turn would have made kawaki have to leave essentially and daemon wants this to happen as he wants to protect eida, daemon knows kawaki has bad intentions and his goal in life is to protect eida, so by doing this to kawaki and praying on his downfall, he can inadvertently protect eida from kawaki also goes back to the idea that kawaki is not affected by eidas charm meaning kawaki can hurt eida giving daemon even more reason not to trust kawaki
I hope both Daemon and Eida eventually talk to Boruto and become his allies. I believe Daemon would rest easier knowing that Boruto does have the strength to protect Eida.

Shikamaru is truly elite as an analyst and keeps surprising me, Shikamaru actually senses based off the data he’s been presented, and through watching things play out, that Boruto is truly Naruto’s son, that needs to be watched closely, that is a fine detail, Shikamaru is still aware of the danger of cornering Kawaki, and thus requests Boruto remains the villain in the eyes of everyone, except for him, he knows and resonates with the idea that Boruto is actually the protagonist son of the hokage, that in itself is truly impressive

I can definitely see Kakashi show you next chapter. It would make sense that they make Shikamaru have some form of oversight or have to share leadership with the 6th because as their perceived blunder by letting Boruto escape. But Kakashi sees through deception better than anyone, so I can see that leading to the "secret mission" continuing with the guise of Inojin running communication with team 10 and team 7 excluding Kawaki to help fight alongside Boruto. The next 2-3 chapters will be very consequential moving forward.

I lost too much money in 2023 using editors for stuff like ranking every kara inner or 15 strongest boruto characters, so we're saving the edits like this for the reviews to make them feel special.
Overall, this was a solid chapter, but my only issue lies with how the interrogation unfolded. Boruto's story is about losing everything and enduring suffering to reclaim his life. With Ibiki-Konoha's interrogation expert-present, this could have been a key moment to show Boruto’s willingness to endure for his village. It would have highlighted the gravity of Omnipotence, with Boruto being tortured and doubted by those he not only grew up with, but admired. This intense suffering, paired with his unwavering conviction, would have also served to garner massive respect for Boruto, especially among those still skeptical of his growth and ability to live up to his father’s legacy as the series' successor.
So like what exactly did you want? We saw all that unfold by boruto being beaten, threatened to be excuted and was choosing not to snitch on kawaki, while not holding a grudge against the village but still roasting everyone…. You wanted boruto to get like mutilated Or sun?
I think Kakashi will be brought in to assist Shikamaru in some way when he has to face the Feudal Lord since it was foreshadowed there would be consequences for Boruto's escape

Boruto also knows about additional timelines. There's specific reasons why Boruto is withholding information. I believe Boruto needs to sit out on the sand and train on mastering karma. The leaf needs to understand that they need Boruto

I think once inojin's Chakra is fixed, (which will take a while), he will be unaffected by omnipotence. This might be a possible cure. It's just very weird that they mention it.

For me it was kinda underwhelming because ibiki didn’t use any of his techniques, or use the mind read jutsu so we could learn some brand new information Boruto hasn’t said yet. It’s kinda frustrating with the monthly schedule having dialogue heavy chapters that are not giving us any new information.

The only issue there is that even if Boruto sold Kawaki out there is nobody other than Boruto or Daemon who could force Kawaki to let Naruto out, and I doubt Boruto or Daemon would do it albeit for entirely separate reasons, which is to say that nobody in the leaf up to the hokage is strong enough to whoop kawaki, in which case he'd likely throw his childlike tantrum and destroy the village out of desperation. I'm really interested to see Kawaki's next interaction with Boruto after this chapter as to whether he'll generally ask questions about the decisions Boruto made or whether he'll continue on the agenda of eliminate on sight. It makes me just wonder the moment that will take place to cause him to spiral or grow as a character and make the drastic decision that he did to create the only possible outcome. Because if he said he'll send Boruto where he sent Naruto, that means there's a likelihood he doesn't intend to kill him.

I think daemon poking fun at kawaki has a little more depth to it than it seems at the surface, I think daemon is doing all of this to drive kawaki away from eida, and later in the chapter we see him visibly upset that boruto didn’t leak the truth which in turn would have made kawaki have to leave essentially and daemon wants this to happen as he wants to protect eida, daemon knows kawaki has bad intentions and his goal in life is to protect eida, so by doing this to kawaki and praying on his downfall, he can inadvertently protect eida from kawaki also goes back to the idea that kawaki is not affected by eidas charm meaning kawaki can hurt eida giving daemon even more reason not to trust kawaki
I hope both Daemon and Eida eventually talk to Boruto and become his allies. I believe Daemon would rest easier knowing that Boruto does have the strength to protect Eida.

Shikamaru is truly elite as an analyst and keeps surprising me, Shikamaru actually senses based off the data he’s been presented, and through watching things play out, that Boruto is truly Naruto’s son, that needs to be watched closely, that is a fine detail, Shikamaru is still aware of the danger of cornering Kawaki, and thus requests Boruto remains the villain in the eyes of everyone, except for him, he knows and resonates with the idea that Boruto is actually the protagonist son of the hokage, that in itself is truly impressive
1. Yes i think Boruto made the right call. He's like Naruto was to Sasuke. Boruto would know if it would cost him. But he also wants to spare kawaki from worse punishment than knocking sense into him. Which explains why kawaki doesnt want him dead in the end, only teleported away.
2. I think konohamaru goes to fight Matsuri. And it would be fun if Daenon went there too for Bug. Boruto is staying in konoha with Sarada. Probably shikamaru will connect boruto again if ino agrees and boruto could give him orders that shikamaru could pass through.
3. Ino wont snitch on shikamaru. He's her friend. If she wanted to protect him by warning him, wouldnt it be strange to snitch? She should question his motives and come to the truth by her own observations.
He would probably watch Sarada from the shadows since at this point he’s got a kill order on him now

I can definitely see Kakashi show you next chapter. It would make sense that they make Shikamaru have some form of oversight or have to share leadership with the 6th because as their perceived blunder by letting Boruto escape. But Kakashi sees through deception better than anyone, so I can see that leading to the "secret mission" continuing with the guise of Inojin running communication with team 10 and team 7 excluding Kawaki to help fight alongside Boruto. The next 2-3 chapters will be very consequential moving forward.

This chapter was brilliant
Overall, this was a solid chapter, but my only issue lies with how the interrogation unfolded. Boruto's story is about losing everything and enduring suffering to reclaim his life. With Ibiki-Konoha's interrogation expert-present, this could have been a key moment to show Boruto’s willingness to endure for his village. It would have highlighted the gravity of Omnipotence, with Boruto being tortured and doubted by those he not only grew up with, but admired. This intense suffering, paired with his unwavering conviction, would have also served to garner massive respect for Boruto, especially among those still skeptical of his growth and ability to live up to his father’s legacy as the series' successor.
Sadly they don’t see that thanks to omnipotence

Boruto also knows about additional timelines. There's specific reasons why Boruto is withholding information. I believe Boruto needs to sit out on the sand and train on mastering karma. The leaf needs to understand that they need Boruto
