Me and my son have gone creek fishing this past month, we've both caught catfish, I think by luck, but the tip on how to set the circle hook will be in my next cast
The information about the type of hook, how to set it, which knot to tie and why it works..also the information about the type of weight and why it does the same as an ounce and a half bc of its shape. That’s just stuff you don’t get anywhere else. RGFM is second to none!
Went Crappie fishing yesterday. They weren’t biting but the catfish were. Caught a 4.5 lb. and a 4 lb. on my crappie jigs using my ultra lite action crappie rods. I thought the big one was going to break my Ugly Stick rod, but I did what I’ve seen Richard does and just let him fight until he wore himself out and the netted him. Them 2 made my day! ⚡️😀

That’s exactly how I catfish when I want eaters. Nothing like watching some RG while deer hunting. Kinda makes me wanna go change and load up my boat.
Depending on where you're hunting you can do both. Fly fishing while scouting for elk is a great combo.

I bet, my wife and I got a cabin in Florrisant last year. We would pass all those ranches with elk and mule deer in the pasture…sure was awesome.
@@themadcatter5849 check out Frasier. You can usually see moose there everyday outside of rifle season in the morning and evening. Also some great camping spots away from the world. Pretty much grew up in those mountains haha.

Great catches man!! Glad you got a Flathead too. I was fishing a Bass pond last month and ended up catching a pretty good size Channel Cat on a Rapala X-Rap. Surprised me! Fought 'em for about 10mins, had the GoPro rollin too, good times. Fishing is a sport 2nd to none!

I bought some red cajun line and put on two of my spinning combos and it just comes out in Loops instead of normally like my braids does
It may just be the way you loaded the line. If you have a boat get in open water with no boat traffic; take your hook and weights off and drive the boat slowly while letting your line out. When most of it is out keep the boat moving, put a little tension on the line and reel it back in. It should take the loops out.
Now if you don't have a boat take your rod out into a large field and strip the line off as you walk. When you get near the end stop and reel the line in through the grass. If you need to add a little tension. Again, it will eliminate most of the kinks.😊
